His first research project on genetic variants in those with chronic Lyme disease, was one of two winners for research by the ILADS international meeting held in Helsinki, Finland. His Phase II study of Lyme disease was presented at the American ILADS conference in November 2016, Phase III was presented at the International ILADS conference in Paris, France in May 2017 and his Phase IV study on mTOR and Autophagy in Lyme disease was presented in Boston, November 2017. Phase V was presented in Warsaw, Poland in June 2018 and his Phase VI was another winner presented in Chicago, Illinois in November of 2018 which showed increased variants in the Heme pathway and Mast Cell genes. Leah Wilson, an attorney with a background in complex litigation and advocacy, has been dedicated to children's health and welfare for over a decade. Her journey began with the troubling overmedication of foster children, leading her to become a foster parent and court-appointed advocate. Leah's experiences revealed the pervasive use of psychiatric drugs in foster care and the state's strict vaccination mandates for foster families.

Recognizing the broader impact of one-size-fits-all medical mandates on child welfare, Leah founded Stand for Health Freedom (SHF) in 2019 to advocate for all children nationwide. She holds a law degree from Saint Louis University and a dual bachelor's degree in political science and Spanish from Indiana University.

Leah also owns MaxLiving Indy, a prominent natural health center, and is a well-known educator and speaker on holistic health, religious rights, and environmental issues.

SHIELDING is Healing24 Mar 202200:49:48

Welcome to Episode 92 of the Autism Parenting Secrets.

When a baby is on the way, parents make upgrades to the house to ensure it’s ready for their child.

Similarly, if you have a child on the spectrum, there’s an important opportunity to make changes that provide a safer and less stressful environment for you, your child, and your entire family.

We do so much to ensure our homes are safe.  Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, childproof locks, handrails for stairs, etc. Visible hazards are easy to spot and fix.

Invisible hazards are tougher.  They’re easier to overlook.  One big example: the significantly increasing danger from excessive exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMFs).

So if a healing house is what you’re after, reducing EMF exposure is a must.  And the bedroom is where you focus first.

Our guest this week is Brian Hoyer. He’s one of the world's top EMF mitigation specialists.

He founded Shielded Healing in 2017 with the goal of helping modern humanity recreate electromagnetic environments that more closely mimic our historic human habitats to promote health and healing.

Taking action isn’t as difficult as you might think.  And the benefits are real and they compound daily.

The secret this week is... SHIELDING is Healing

You'll Discover:

  • How To Create a Healing House (3:56)
  • What “Shielding” Is And Why It Matters (14:09)
  • What To Do Immediately After Eating (22:44)
  • Why Changing The Lighting Matters (31:19)
  • The Exact Lightbulbs You Want (33:04)
  • What a House Assessment Looks Like (38:51)
  • Free Things To Implement Right Away (42:00)
  • What To Demand of Any Home Inspection (46:12)

About Our Guest:

Brian Hoyer is one of the world's top EMF mitigation specialists. His dive into health started when he became a father.  He became a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, training with Dr. Klinghardt and The Klinghardt Academy, and became a certified Geobiologist.

He founded Shielded Healing in 2017 with the goal of helping modern humanity recreate electromagnetic environments that more closely mimic our historic human habitats to promote health and healing. His work has helped connect the EMF mitigation world with the health and wellness industry.

Shielded Healing travels all over the U.S., guiding people through the process of creating ancestral healing spaces in their homes, offices, and workspaces. They also work with architects and contractors to customize EMF shielding for homes and businesses from the ground up in new construction and remodels. Shielded Healing works closely with many functional medicine doctors, hospitals, and clinics around the world to aid their patients in reducing the EMF exposures we have in the modern world.

Brian and his team are the favorite EMF consultants for many notable names in the Wellness and Biohacking Community, including Dr. Mercola, Dr. Ben Lynch, Ben Greenfield, and Luke Storey, to name a few.

Meltdowns Are NOT Inevitable10 Mar 202200:49:49

Welcome to Episode 90 of the Autism Parenting Secrets.

Meltdowns!  That’s the topic this week.  It’s a challenge like no other.

SIBLINGS Are The Greatest Therapists30 May 202401:02:31

Welcome to Episode 206 of Autism Parenting Secrets.

This week, we’re focusing on the perspective of the sibling of a child with autism.

Their lives are absolutely impacted, yet their needs are often ignored or unintentionally not prioritized.

Joining us is David Kartzinel, son of Dr. Jerry Kartzinel, who was on the show last month (Episode 199) and brother to Josh, who is on the autism spectrum.

Nurturing the relationship with your child who is NOT on the spectrum can feel like another ball in the air you must juggle - and it can add to the overwhelm a parent feels.

But you CAN meet the needs of all your children and you can also tap the tremendous positive force of siblings in supporting your child on the spectrum.

The secret this week is…

About Our Guest:

David Kartzinel is the office manager for Kartzinel Wellness Center with 15 years of experience and the Executive Director of Home Life Community.  He has spearheaded various technological changes and specializes in maximizing the practice’s efficiency.

David received his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Union University in 2008.  David grew up with autism as a part of his life since he was 13 years old when his youngest brother Joshua was diagnosed at age 2 with autism.  He is passionate about helping siblings and parents understand the long-term effects of living with a special needs sibling, especially with regard to its impacts on the siblings, both negative and positive.

Now an adult sibling with children of his own, he continues to work for his father helping families with children who have autism.  David brings a unique perspective that blends a very honest, realistic take with a good-natured optimism that focuses on ensuring a family learns to understand each other and work to improve and move forward together, whatever challenges the family may face.

Welcome to Episode 87 of Autism Parenting Secrets.

This week, we continue the theme of addressing the root cause.  Whatever it is that you are wanting to help your child with, it’s NOT a success strategy to only address the symptoms.

VISION Is More Than Meets The Eye03 Feb 202201:06:43

Welcome to Episode 85 of Autism Parenting Secrets.

Parents of a child with autism are often confused by their child’s behaviors. Things like poor eye contact, spinning objects, inflexibility, and tantrums.

Figuring out what to do, if anything, is a big source of frustration and overwhelm.

Instead of seeing such behaviors as ‘bad’, it’s more helpful to get curious. What’s causing these behaviors?  Why is my child doing them?

With awareness and intention, we can get better at noticing the clues that can lead to the root cause.  There are scores of possibilities and every child is unique.

This week we focus on one possible root cause that is often overlooked.

Vision is an important and little understood concept.  It means more than eyesight.

Are undiagnosed vision issues holding your child back?

Beware of Empathy30 Dec 202100:17:32

Welcome to Episode 80 of Autism Parenting Secrets.

The people who surround you and your child play a HUGE role.

And just about everyone wants to be useful and supportive.

It’s important to recognize the role our friends and family play in supporting us parents on our journey to support our child.

Sincere gratitude is warranted and incredibly uplifting for us.  Because it’s impossible to feel anxiety when you’re feeling grateful.

However, even if they have good intentions, sometimes the way people support us is not only unhelpful - it can make things WORSE.

So while it SEEMS noble and useful, EMPATHY can be counterproductive.

Awareness of this will help you better equip the people around you.

So they can be even more helpful to you as you rise to make better and better decisions for your child, yourself and entire family.

The secret this week is…

Beware of Empathy
