TTRPGs are having a renaissance and it’s becoming a popular hobby amongst kids and teens. D&D clubs are popping up in schools and after school clubs. In this episode, we chat with Ro, the founder of Young Adventurers League in Melbourne about what is different about running TTRPGs for kids and teens, tips for people wanting to introduce younger folks to the hobby and more.

TTRPGs tend to be a social endeavour, so having spaces to be social and play games is incredibly important. Whether those spaces are online or in person, it can be difficult to curate a welcoming and successful space that not only survives but thrives. In this episode, we catch up with one of the founders of Pause Menu, a board game and TTRPG cafe in Melbourne. We talk about the process of opening the cafe, surviving COVID, Sasa’s love of the horror genre, and big plans for Pause Menu including an upcoming tourney-style game of The King’s Poisoner.
