Teenage Engineering recently came out with their new lil' Black Box - The OP-XY. Resident TE expert Eonlake returns so this is as good a time as any to peek at the specs and see whether we're vibing with it's eye watering $2300 price tag... We also found another FREE plugin for you. This time from DAWSOME and the Zyklop synth. It's a mystical box full of non traditional sound design techniques. Focusing on the gear this week as Roland released their cheeky ARIA P6 Sampler. If you've been hanging around for a while you know how much we love 'em so we're taking a look and seeing where this pocket-sized prize sits in our arsenal. Another cool lil' gadget that caught our eye is the Demon Box from Eternal Research. This device picks up electromagnetic waves and allows you to mangle them with precision. This week, the boys take a look at the new soft synth Megalit by Bleass.  They were kind enough to send us the synth so Kh3rtis gives us a look at the specs and design, while Sunwarper demos the sounds with a lush ambient interlude.  They then discuss the incredible sounding Oberheim OB-X8, it's price and whether there is a market for it in the independent music scene.   
We also received some requests to cover soft synths and plugins that help achieve great ambient pads and soundscapes, so all 3 of us reveal our secret weapons and the chat shares a few as well.  
Finally in the marketing section, Sunwarper takes us through Spotify's own recommendations for building and growing a playlist.

This week Eonlake, Kh3rtis and Sunwarper discuss some recent changes to Amazon Music and Prime Memberships.  Members are now able to listen to the full Amazon Music catalog, but only on shuffle, which is the same as a free Spotify membership.  For musicians, Amazon has better news: you can now apply for their on demand merchandise.  Next we take a look at some new iOS sampling apps and of course some new gear on the horizon.
