Upon hearing the news of the murder of six Israelis who were held hostage in Gaza on Sept 1st, Jewish communities were thrust into mourning. Since then, it has been very difficult for many to speak about these deaths and it’s a rare gift to be able to communicate articulately while in the depths of grief. With his striking capacity for empathy and hope, TJI’s Jerusalem correspondent Ittay Flescher joined Tami and Dash to describe the despair many in Israel in the Jewish world feel. ‘The Holy and the Broken’ by Ittay Flescher is now available for pre-order at ittay.au It will be out in January 2025 in bookstores across Australia, published by HarperCollins.
