Artworlds is a podcast that explores the transformative power of design and creativity in Kenya. Each season features in-depth conversations with designers and researchers shaping their communities and industries. From innovative tech solutions to cultural preservation and inclusive design, Artworlds uncovers the stories, challenges, and visions of Kenya’s emerging talent. Join us to discover how design can inspire connection, creativity, and change. Artworlds in a collaboration between the School of Arts and Media, at the Technical University of Kenya (TUK) and the research group Netze, at the Academy of Media Arts, Cologne (KHM). The project was conceived by Odoch Pido, Melissa Allela and Sam Hopkins. Graphics and Jingle by Beaumont Kimani. Season One features interviews with artists and collectives in Nairobi and was supported by the project Jenga CCI, from the Goethe Insitut Nairobi. Season Two focusses on designers pursuing their PhD at TUK and was co-produced by Mary Clare Kidenda and Sam Hopkins.
