Nexstar Media's Broadcast Network The CW to Simulcast NewsNation will present an original documentary entitled, "Clinton: Portrait of a Presidency" on Sunday, November 3rd at 8 p.m. ET. Narrated by Emmy and Grammy-award winning actor Blair Underwood, the two-hour film will examine the unprecedented time of peace and prosperity in America under the leadership of President William Jefferson Clinton. Nexstar Media's broadcast network, The CW, will carry a simulcast of the documentary nationwide. Leading up to Election Day 2024, the new documentary will feature the key events that took place during Clinton's presidency that tell a story of economic renewal, compromise, peace through arbitration, and human frailty. During the Clinton era, the country achieved the highest budget surplus in history and American families thrived in a booming economy. President Clinton left office with the highest approval rating in the nation's history, despite a scandal that rocked his presidency. Contributions will be provided by political commentator and chief strategist for Clinton's '92 presidential campaign, James Carville; re-election co-chair and former head of the DNC, Gov. Terry McAuliffe; author of Uncovering Clinton: A Reporter's Story and the journalist who discovered the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal, Michael Isikoff; fellow Rhodes scholar and former Congressman Tom McMillen (D-MD); and Director of the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum, Dr. Jay Barth.

Edith Lemay and Sébastien Pelletier first noticed their daughter, Mia, was having vision problems when she was 3 years old. The diagnosis took years to pinpoint but, by the time Mia was 7, they had identified it as retinitis pigmentosa, a rare genetic condition that causes a loss or decline in vision over time. It skipped their second child, Léo, but both their younger sons, Colin and Laurent, received the same diagnosis. The three children will ultimately lose their eyesight entirely. When The school’s vision impairment advisor suggested they fill the children’s visual memory by looking at pictures in books, Edith thought, ‘I’m not going to show her an elephant in a book; I’m going to take her to see a real elephant…And I’m going to fill her memory with the best, most beautiful images I can.”

On September 12, 1966, at 7:30pm ET, the Monkees television sitcom debuted on NBC and, overnight, a manufactured television rock and roll group was beamed into American living rooms and onto the pop culture scene. Known affectionately, or disparagingly, depending on your point-of-view, as a "manufactured image with no philosophies," the Monkees supplemented their TV stardom with nearly a dozen actual hits on the pop charts and became a sensation to mostly pre-drivers license teenagers and adolescents. The second record from Salem’s Childe, Unbound, showcases the band’s growth as songwriters and musicians from 2020’s The Sin That Saves You. From the fast-paced tension of opener “Closer to the Bone” to anthems like “Rise & Conquer” and the closing beefed up and energetic take on The Cult’s classic “She Sells Sanctuary,” the nine-song record takes the listener on a lyrical and melodic journey that maintains the band’s aggressive accessibility while pushing boundaries and inviting engagement.

Since its inception, Salem’s Childe has defined and redefined itself musically, while following one rule: taking the best of what they love from their diverse influences and forging them into something that reflects those influences without trying to sound like them. The result is a hard-hitting and energetic genre-defying mix of melody and aggression that finds itself as equally at home in the mainstream as it does the underground.
  
In 2020, the band released its debut full-length album, The Sin That Saves You, through Pavement Entertainment, following that up the next spring with a well-received cover of Sponge’s iconic radio anthem “Plowed.” In 2024 the band finished and released its second record, Unbound. From appearances at events such as Milwaukee Metal Fest to storming their way across the US while supporting Misfits legend, Doyle, the Indiana-based band is no stranger to the national stage and will soon be announcing upcoming tours in the fall of 2024 and winter of 2025 in support of the new record.
