| #44 Great British Bosses - Mike Sharrock | 25 Sep 2022 | 00:34:07 | |
If we were writing a headline we'd say Mike Sharrock swaps BP for the BPA!
The chief executive of the British Paralympic Association spent 30 years in international business with the oil giant, but since January 2019 he's been in charge of the BPA.
Working on partnerships with London 2012 and Glasgow 2014 seemed to ignite his sporting flame and with all the challenges he, the Para athletes and the organisation have faced in the last few years, he certainly needed it!

| #70 Has Munich been too much? | 18 Aug 2022 | 00:39:41 | |
After the Winter Olympics, Paralympics, World Championships & Commonwealth Games has the European Championships in Munich been too much?
It sounds like a daft question from an Anything but Footy podcast, but as we recover from the pandemic have we been too tough on our athletes, expecting too much with 3 major championships for some in 5 weeks?
We round up the mixed bag of results in the Olympic Stadium in Munich - Dina, Daryll, Hudson-Smith and the machine that is McColgan! There's also the stunning swimming and diving results in Rome, British rowing's back into its stride in Germany, as are our gymnasts...
In other footy news there's cycling, triathlon, curling, canoeing, hockey and the London Marathon - and what next for Birmingham now the buzz of the Commonwealth Games is fading?

Anything but Footy celebrates the life of Robbie Brightwell - Olympic silver medallist at Tokyo 1964.
This conversation was recorded with Robbie and his wife Ann in 2021. Robbie and Ann agreed to speak to us for a special edition of the podcast that was produced exclusively for the athletes heading to the delayed Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Robbie and Ann reminisce about taking part in the 1964 Olympic Games, also staged in Tokyo, and how they both returned home with medals. Ann won an unexpected gold medal in the 800m She had only agreed to take part after Robbie convinced her. She had wanted to go shopping instead! Anne also won the silver medal in the 400m at the same games. For Robbie, he had finished 4th in the individual 400m event and won his medal as part of the relay team.
