The pain forced her to slow down and pay attention. She began breathing into the discomfort, turning inward and asking simple questions about what her body needed. As she stayed with the sensations, old memories and emotions surfaced. Each one asked to be seen and released.

| A Deep Discussion With an INELDA End-Of-Life Doula | 26 Mar 2023 | 00:58:02 | |
Death is something that plagues all walks of life. It is something we will all face at some point and yet it's not something that gets a lot of "air" time. I guess is because we all have our own ideas about it and we don't want to make anyone uncomfortable so we stay silent on the subject. However, what if we did start sharing our thoughts and views more often? Would we reduce some fear around it? I came across the nonprofit organization INELDA International End-Of-Life Doula Association from the back of a book I was reading. I became very interested in this organization and wanted to know what exactly an end-of-life doula was. After some email exchanges, I was put in touch with Nicole Heidbreder. In this podcast, Nicole explained a life pattern that seemed to be following her into her calling of becoming an end-of-life doula. Her personal story is very insightful and interesting. Not only is Nicole an end-of-life doula but she is also a birth doula. She gets to witness life in both of its extremes, life, and death. She goes deep into explaining exactly what an end-of-life doula is and how it differs from hospice care, who can benefit from their care, how to become a doula through INELDA, and then how to start networking. I strongly urge you to listen to this podcast to gain a little more perspective on the end-of-life topic. Nicole was able to eloquently explain her thoughts on the end of life and the closeness she gains with the families she works with. By presenting her career path she truly is "changing the face of dying." To find a doula near you or if you would like to take part in their training program to become a doula you can visit them on the web at inelda.org . You can find Nicole on the INELDA website or follow her on Instagram @gracefulfusionofbirthanddeath. To listen to more Wellness Matters episodes go to wellnessmattersblog.com. | Taking Back Your Sovereignty | 19 Mar 2023 | 00:54:11
This week I brought back my bestie, Melanie Esperon, from Reikiroomsandiego.com . I absolutely love having her on because her energy is SO fun and she is very wise...a great combo for sure! This episode is all about taking back your sovereignty (the ability to choose the direction of one's own life, and being the exclusive authority over one's own body and mind...aka...freedom). Mel and I discuss times in our lives when we knew there was no other option than to take back our power. It is so easy to fall pray to others' opinions, different agencies ( government, education, medical system, social media etc) and push our own thoughts to the side to be agreeable. Once you know what to look out for or what feelings come up for you, it is easier to recognize. We also go over ways to start to take your power back and claim your life. It won't happen overnight but implementing some of these steps a little at a time can make quite a change. Some examples are: -Balancing the masculine and feminine or right and left brain -Being able to accept failure-learning resilience -Stop blaming others -Recognizing the way you see the world isn't how the world really is -Dive into something that feels uncomfortable without judgement -Start listening to your thoughts Of course we go into much more detail about these suggestions to explain how you can integrate them into your life. If you'd like to follow Mel on IG (and I highly recommend you do❤️) you can do so by searching @reikiroomsd. | Getting Curious with Steven Noack | 12 Mar 2023 | 00:58:40
I had such an insightful conversation with Steven Noack ( trinityquantumheath.com ) a few weeks ago I absolutely had to have him on the podcast again to go a little deeper...so deeper we went! After having his NDE when he was a child, Steven spent a good amount of time trying to block out all the information he learned when he was unconscious. When he became an adult he realized he couldn't continue to "forget" what he knew down in his soul. In this podcast we talk a lot about topics that aren't often discussed in the mainstream today. We talk about the quantum field, vibrations, energy, and so much more. If these are all new concepts to you I encourage you to listen and start to become curious. It's all a very fascinating rabbit hole to go down.😃 For more episodes go to https://www.wellnessmattersblog.com/ Follow me on social @wellness_mattersblog
| Simple Tips To Live a Balanced Life | 18 Feb 2023 | 00:31:58 | |
This week I did another solo podcast. I kept getting "downloads" around helping others take back more of their power so they could feel more balanced and calm. In this podcast, I share a few ideas and tricks I have collected over the years to help me stay aligned and in flow. You will learn four different ideas that I explain in great detail throughout the podcast. I will talk about: -The zoom-out method -Becoming your own paleontologist (Sounds funny but I explain this during the podcast) -Talk to yourself like you would a child - 'Peace begins with you' method These are seemingly simple ideas. When you listen to the podcast you will think '...oh yeah, I can do that' but once the podcast is over, the work has to be done. You have to put the methods into effect to reap the benefits. One day at a time, one reminder at a time. If you stick with it you will be stunned by the power you gain over your life. | Ways You Are Losing Power (Energy) | 04 Feb 2023 | 00:35:09
This week's podcast is a solo episode with...wait for it...YOURS TRULY. I watched a video recently with thought leader Caroline Myss. I also read one of her books years ago called Anatomy Of The Spirit. After watching the video (and thinking back to her book) I realized I'd been right to think that 'deep knowing' was real because I always knew there was a correlation between our emotions and physical body. I highly recommend reading Caroline's book. The video I watched by Caroline was about ways we lose our power (energy) throughout our day. This is a topic I have thought about many times and even did blog posts regarding this loss of power. Finally, after watching this video I decided to sit down and do some of her recommendations which I have listed below. There were three main questions I asked myself and I encourage you to do the same. What are 3 to 5 addictions you have? We all have them, they may not be the typical ones you think of like alcohol or drugs but more things like attention, the need to be right, worrying, etc. Once you identify your addictions go deeper and ask why you are addicted to them. What are you getting out of them? What are your cravings (3 to 5)? What stories have you been telling yourself and others that keep dragging you down but you tell them anyway, and why do you tell them? What do you feel entitled to (3 to 5)? This list got interesting for me (ha ha). If you feel entitled to fairness, for example, then go deeper and find out who you think you should get that fairness from? Are there specific people or group of people? | Near Death Experience with Steve Noack | 29 Jan 2023 | 00:50:56
I went down a YouTube rabbit hole recently and I came across a video about a man named Steve Noack and his near-death experience. His story intrigued me so much that I emailed him right away! | A Woman's Story From Lost Hope To Restored Health | 15 Jan 2023 | 00:50:34
This week I am posting my newest podcast with the wonderful Gungor Buzot! She is a woman who has lived many lives and it was an extreme pleasure to be able to talk one on one with her. Her story is one of struggle but she ultimately found a way to her happiness. She'd been unwell essentially her entire life and by the time she was 61, she'd had 20 different surgeries in an attempt to 'heal' her. After the last unsuccessful surgery she felt she had endured enough and wanted to end the suffering. Gungor tried to convince her two grown children that euthanizing her was the only logical alternative but, thankfully, she was wrong! This podcast will give you the exact steps she took to find another way. Here's a hint...she was introduced to the amazing Betsey Beaven from last week's podcast and, as they say, the rest is history.

Betsey Beaven is beyond educated in the field and explains her 30+ years of experience to the listener. | My Reflections from 2022 | 31 Dec 2022 | 00:27:43
When I think of wellness there are so many components that come to mind. One major part of wellness is reflecting. We can reflect on how we handled a situation, reflect on a week that went by or, in this case, a full year. One powerful way to reflect is through journal writing. Simply write a prompt at the top of your paper and let your hand do the rest. Below are some journal prompts I used that I found on Instagram (Google 'journal prompts' and you'll find TONS!). What was my theme of this past year? What are some lessons I learned? How did I surprise myself by how I showed up to the challenges life presented? What am I most proud of? What am I ready to let go of? What is my intention moving forward for 2023? Listen to my latest podcast, entitled 'My Reflections from 2022', and hopefully it will inspire you to start writing today!
| Why I Changed My Podcast Name | 06 Jul 2025 | 00:51:17 | |
In this episode of Another Way For Them Podcast, I chatted with my good friend, computer guru, Danielle Hendrickson. The purpose of the chat was to explain how and why I did this rebranding. What we ended up talking about, which usually happens when we talk, was so much deeper.
We explored the journey of personal growth, authenticity, and the challenges of merging different aspects of life. We discussed the importance of self-love, breaking free from societal expectations, and the power of community support. The conversation emphasizes the significance of trusting the process of change and the necessity of showing up for oneself in the journey of life.

| Changing Your Money Mindset | 20 Nov 2022 | 01:09:05 | |
Another great podcast this week! I got to chat with my dear friend Melanie Esperon again from Reiki Room San Diego. While taking an online class it occurred to me that so many people don't take a chance on themselves because they want to conserve money but, ironically, the thing they wont purchase could make all the difference in their mindset. In that moment I knew I had to do a podcast on the energetics of money and I knew exactly who my guest should be. Melanie gives tons of examples regarding the scarcity mindset she grew up with and how far she has come. She gives tangible examples of how to make this mind shift and understanding that we are all worthy of a great life. Even if you have a lot of abundance, this podcast is still beneficial to hear because abundance is limitless. There are always new ways of looking at and thinking of energy. This is a podcast you will not want to miss.

Through this experience he has become a keynote speaker, award winning filmmaker, best selling author and host to his own podcast. | Dismantling Parenting Myths | 13 Apr 2025 | 00:58:11
In this episode of The Wellness Matters Podcast, Ashley Hamilton joined me once again to record our second episode in a series. We are breaking down old programming beliefs and finding ways to replace them with new ideas. Last week's episode had to do with the school system. This week, however, we delved into the misconceptions surrounding parenting and the belief systems that have been passed down through generations. We discussed the importance of early childhood development, the challenges of discipline, and the significance of understanding emotions and communication in parenting. Ashley and I go kinda deep into the idea that just because the child is younger in years doesn't mean they don't understand our energy as adults. If we can take an extra minute to be intentional, meltdowns and arguments can be headed off. | Breaking Down The Education System | 06 Apr 2025 | 01:04:46
This episode of The Wellness Matters Podcast was an interesting one. I had my friend Ashley Hamilton (a proud parent of twin three-year-olds) again. We have been talking privately for a while about programming we were 'sold' surrounding parenting as well as the education system. We finally felt like it was time to take it to the podcast. We thought, that if we felt this way, there must be others who do as well. Today's episode is the first episode in a series. We covered what we believe to be parts of education that are broken and then ideas to possibly fix them. We fully realize that we are just two opinions out of the many pertaining to the education system, but if we don't start having the hard discussions then how can any real change ever happen? If you enjoy our discussion stay tuned for more in the series. We are looking to find all the holes in societal beliefs that might not be sitting well with many of you. | Exploring The Light Body And Telepathy In Children | 23 Mar 2025 | 01:01:13
In this episode of The Wellness Matters Podcast, I talked with a very special guest, Susie Miller. She is an integration specialist, author, and so much more. Susie discusses her transformative experiences with children diagnosed with autism, particularly focusing on the concept of light bodies and telepathy. The conversation explores the integration of these light bodies with physical bodies, the unique perspectives of nonverbal children, and the impact of trauma on children's ability to communicate. Susie talks about some specific things that parents can do to help their children feel more regulated and calm. A huge part for children to feel regulated is having the parents do healing work on themselves. Our children are mirroring back to us where we are out of balance. This conversation was a game changer. Our biggest teachers in life are children and it's beautiful to see how healing can be effective for all members of a family. I appreciate your support! This week's podcast is Part 2 of last week's podcast In this episode of The Wellness Matters Podcast, I had the chance to talk with my good friends, Erica Cordeiro and Kim Reed, about the importance of open conversations, building community, and the challenges of making friends as adults. We explore the desire for deeper connections, the exhaustion of surface-level interactions, and the significance of receiving compliments and acknowledging self-worth. Our trio also reflects on personal growth journeys and how focusing on self-work has led us to find our community. We also touch on the impact of the 'New Earth' on personal evolution and the changing dynamics of conversations in today's world. We delve into the concept of the 'New Earth' as an evolution of consciousness, emphasizing the shift from rigid thinking to a more feeling-based approach. This episode was next level for me. | Healing Through Our Triggers: A Conversation With My Daughter | 09 Feb 2025 | 00:31:37
In this episode of The Wellness Matters Podcast, I talk all about a conversation I had with my daughter. During this conversation, I slowly started to realize that I have a tangible system I use to help myself and others through our triggers. My daughter who is a young teen was telling me about her day in high school and how it is becoming a pattern in her days. I discussed the importance of recognizing triggers, understanding the Hermetic principles, and engaging in inner child work to heal unresolved emotions. I then emphasized that life is a continuous learning experience, where our external world reflects our internal state. By addressing these patterns and emotions, we can achieve a sense of wholeness and balance in our lives. | The Hidden Beliefs Shaping Our Lives | 02 Feb 2025 | 00:56:08
In this episode of The Wellness Matters Podcast, Ashley Hamilton and I sat down again to review some results we uncovered from a challenge we came up with two weeks ago. We decided to experiment with being intentional with putting some new subconscious beliefs in our minds. By doing that we were/are hoping to manifest a few different things. We discussed our personal experiences with trying to implement new habits, the impact of childhood beliefs on adult behavior, and the challenges of integrating affirmations into our daily lives. The conversation also touches on the influence of social media, the concept of the Mandela Effect, and the importance of self-awareness and healing in personal growth. After the recap of our findings and the ways we plan to make adjustments, we then talked a little about my children's class that is coming up. The earlier we start to learn how to override old stories in our subconscious with new and better ones the easier our life will become. I appreciate your support! | A Chat With My Son | 26 Jan 2025 | 00:33:34
In this episode of The Wellness Matters Podcast, I shared a personal story about a conversation I had with my son regarding the balance of masculine and feminine energies, particularly in the context of youth sports and coaching styles. I didn't know the conversation was going to go in that direction but it did. I ended up reflecting on the difference between the two student teaching placements I had when I was a senior in college. After my first placement, I thought I had wasted money and time for four years in college because I couldn't teach the way my placement teacher was teaching. She was very stuck in fear and toxic masculine energy (this was the connection I was making with my son and his coach). It wasn't until I had my second placement that I realized there was a different way of gaining the respect of the students. Not only could this 'new way' be used in teaching, but it could also be used in all aspects of my life. The teacher for my second placement (who is now my sister-in-law) showed me what balanced masculine and feminine energies looked like. We are often taught how to grip and "make things happen." I learned many years ago with the guidance of a wonderful mentor that not only is it okay but it's necessary to be vulnerable in front of others. I learned there is always another way to "get what we want." A way that doesn't deplete our energy tanks and keeps us vibing higher so we can radiate more joy into the world. I hope this podcast provides you with a great example of balance and understanding on how there is always another way. I appreciate your support! | Hacking The Subconscious Mind | 19 Jan 2025 | 00:58:34
In this episode of The Wellness Matters podcast, Ashley and I delve into the intricate dynamics between the subconscious and conscious mind, exploring how these two aspects of our psyche influence our thoughts, beliefs, and, ultimately, our reality. We discuss the importance of understanding the subconscious mind's role in healing, manifestation, and the impact of early programming from parents. In the second half of the podcast we switched gears to talk about an experiement we wanted to try...a challenge if you will. Ashley and I are setting up a new story in our subconscious mind that is positive and setting us up for a better life. Ashley's new story is that her body is healthy. She has suffered from various health issues since she was a teen. I would like to create a story in my subconscious that whole heartedly KNOWS that all aspects of myself are now integrated. The shadow sides, the light sides, and everything in between so I can radiate my brightest life force energy. If you are feeling called to join us on this challenge here are the criteria we have come up with: Set up at least 7 alarms to go off on your phone throughout your day. This is used to be a pattern disruption through your day to help you come back to the conscious moment and repeat your new mantra. Use your voice memos app and record about a 15 minute message repeating your new mantra. I created a few and just repeated them over and over. Listen to the 15 minute recording every night after you have wound down and are about to go to sleep. You want to get to the Theta brainwave which is how you create new stories in the subconscious mind. We also decided to limit our social media intake and anything else that might be lower vibrational. We want to keep our frequency up as much as we can control during this challenge. We plan to create a follow up podcast in a couple weeks but know we might need to keep it going longer. To be continued... I appreciate your support! | Understanding The Hermetic Principles | 12 Jan 2025 | 00:28:21
In this episode of The Wellness Matters Podcast, I discuss the Hermetic Principles and their application in a new course designed for children aged 7 to 12 I will be teaching at the end of February. I came home from my niece's basketball game one day and thought to myself that children need more explanation of well-being. They need real examples of how when life gets uncomfortable that it's okay and how to recognize all the new ways they are being stretched and growing. I also emphasize the importance of teaching emotional intelligence and the understanding of universal laws to help children navigate their feelings and experiences. Although I am talking about this children's course, it's still very benefical for the listener to hear this episode as I explain the Hermetic Principles in detail. This was such a fun episode to create. I appreciate your support! | You Are Exactly Where You Are Supposed To Be | 22 Dec 2024 | 00:23:53
In this episode of The Wellness Matters Podcast, I explore the concept of soul purpose and the journey of self-discovery, which emphasizes that finding one's purpose is not a linear path but rather a collection of experiences that shape who we are. I go on to talk about my journey, reflecting on my career in education and the lessons learned along the way. I encourage the listeners to embrace their current situations, find joy in small moments, and recognize that purpose can manifest in various forms beyond just career choices. Ultimately, I advocate for self-compassion and the importance of reflecting on our experiences to understand our unique paths. Takeaways Everyone has a soul purpose, but it's not just one thing. The journey of finding purpose is more important than the destination. Your experiences build upon each other to shape your purpose. It's okay to not have everything figured out at a young age. Purpose can be found in everyday moments of joy and love. Reflection on past experiences helps in understanding your journey. Purpose does not have to be tied to your career.
