On a cold November night in 1974, 23-year-old Ron DeFeo Jr. picked up a .35 caliber rifle and crept room to room in his lakeside family home in Amityville, New York. By dawn, his mother, father, and four younger siblings all lay cold and dead in their beds. Over the last half century, this gruesome family annihilation and the alleged paranormal haunting that followed have inspired the production of nearly 100 films in the Amityville Horror franchise. And Alex and Caroline are ready to watch them all.

In this week's movie, a bunch of annoying Canadians go to a house that has nothing to do with the Amityville house, never utter the word Amityville and infuriate the shit out of Alex and Caroline for 90 minutes. To be clear, this episode of the podcast is a banger. But the movie is terrible.
As of this writing, The Amityville Curse is not streaming anywhere, unless you count this 480p version on YouTube with Croatian subtitles. But But of all the films in the series you could possibly skip, this is the one. This movie is not even so bad it's good.
