Pregnancy Announcement, Starting An Influencer Account and Feeling Left Out (WWYBD?!)28 May 202500:50:40

Ep 228: In the catch up segment, Allison and Ceara share some major life updates! Allison is pregnant and just finished her first trimester. She shares behind-the-scenes about how she got pregnant, the first ultrasound, and how she’s feeling about everything. Allison also has an exciting update about her store in Omaha (1404 Collective).

Ceara is celebrating her 1 year wedding anniversary this weekend. Her and Connor are planning a special trip back to Charleston (where they got married) for later this summer.

In the WWYBD part of the episode, we discuss destinations for a solo healing trip, how to start an influencer account without caring about people’s judgment, discuss the pros and cons of working from home, and our thoughts on a situation where someone was feeling left out of the group.

QUESTIONS ANSWERED:

  • Are there any places you suggest to travel to for grief/ anxiety healing?
  • What advice do you have to overcome the possible judgement from your friends and family to start an influencer account on instagram?
  • Change is scary. I want to try something new but I’m scared of losing the flexibility of my current job and I’m worried the grass isn’t greener on the other side.
  • Being a gay guy, I gravitate towards the girls. Love them to death and truly feel the love back, but on the contrary, I think it’s really easy to be left out being the only guy. It makes me wonder if it’s truly because of my gender, or if I need better friends. Any advice?

How To Shift Your Energy From “Chasing” To “Attracting”14 May 202500:51:40

Ep 226: In this episode, Allison and Ceara deep dive into the energetics of chasing versus attraction and how it applies to relationships, career, friendships, money, and self-worth. We share why it’s important to align your energy to a place of abundance and confidence in order to obtain the opportunities, jobs, situations, experiences and friendship that you want.

Chasing these things typically leads to exhaustion, feeling worthless, burned out, and fearful. We share tangible tips, quotes and personal lessons that have helped us overcome “chasing” so that we could make space for better, more aligned things to come our way instead.

TAKEAWAYS:

  • The best energy you can be in is knowing “I will be good no matter what. I will attract what’s meant for me no matter what”
  • You don’t have to beg for what’s meant for you. When you align, it arrives.
  • Chasing comes from fear. Attraction is rooted in trust and self-worth.
  • The more you know yourself, the less you tolerate what isn’t for you.
  • Slow down, tune in, and let life come to you.
  • You’re not behind — you’re being prepared for something that fits you better.

Getting Laid Off, Navigating Tricky Friendships, and Accepting That Life Isn’t Always Fair (WWYBD?!)30 Apr 202500:50:35

Ep 224: WWYBD (what would your bestie do) is where we answer listener-submitted questions. You can submit questions any time via our website, and then we pull questions to fit a specific theme.

In the catch up segment, Allison and Ceara share about what they’ve been up to lately. Allison feels like her nervous system is more regulated than ever due to slowing down, less screen time, outsourcing work tasks, studying Ayurveda, and limiting caffeine and alcohol. Ceara has been house hunting after four years at her current home in St. Louis, is looking forward to a picnic in the park over the weekend and is on week 10/12 of her current workout program 1-2-3 Lagree.

WWYBD QUESTIONS ASKED:

  • Can you be friends with someone who’s also friends with someone you really don’t like?
  • How do I stay working in corporate America without feeling like just a number or that I’m sacrificing my sanity?
  • I am having a complete quarter life crisis. How do you balance the reality that life isn’t fair, and that success requires relentless effort, while simultaneously watching others in your circle seem to progress with far less struggle?
  • How do you decide where you want to live? My fiancé is a pilot and gets to choose one of 80 locations around the country to be stationed in.

Ep 210: Allison and Ceara continue their 'How to Thrive in 2025' series. We dive into the topic of digital detoxing, sparked by the recent TikTok and Lemon8 bans. We share our thoughts about how this relates to our society’s dependence on social media for news, community, work, etc. We share our concerns about the implications of the TikTok ban on content creators and small businesses, which allows them to gain visibility to new audiences and boundless success through organic content.

The conversation touches on the importance of free speech and the role of platforms like TikTok in disseminating information. We also express distrust about Instagram's focus on mass appeal information, commercialization and the loss of genuine community connection.

We share alarming statistics surrounding smartphone addictions, signs that it’s time for a digital detox and the benefits of reducing screen time. Listeners will learn practical strategies for reducing screen time and creating healthier boundaries with technology. All in all, we just want to remind everyone the importance of being present in real life, chasing your dreams, taking risks, exploring the world, making new friends and building the life you’ve always wanted for yourself.

TAKEAWAYS:

  • Relying solely on social media for business communication is risky
  • The TikTok ban highlighted the need for diversified content strategies.

Money vs. Passion, How to Pick Where to Live, and Avoiding Holiday Arguments (Opinionated AF)13 Dec 202400:37:49

Ep 204: Opinionated AF is a new monthly segment that we added in 2024 where we share our opinions on the internet’s opinions. For added entertainment, we select videos that have gone viral, are hot takes, and / or are a little controversial.

In the catch-up segment (0-20 minutes), Ceara shares about some festive holiday activities she’s doing with her loved ones while she’s back in St. Louis this week. She enjoyed a trolley to look at Christmas lights, a cookie decorating night, a comedy show and seeing Wicked. Allison had a quiet introspective week in Tulum, reflecting on all of the changes in her life over the past year. She’s enjoying the solitude and spending time reading, doing pilates and journaling in the garden at her apartment.

During the Opinionated AF segment, we share three videos and discuss them. The first talks about the differences of having a solid stable job versus pursuing income from your passions. The second talks about how cities have different identities and how you should move somewhere that will allow your personality to shine. The third video talks about the futility of engaging in arguments, especially online. We thought this was incredibly important to talk about as the holidays means we’re usually spending time with family members and there are likely going to be differences of opinion but that doesn’t mean you need to argue about it. Instead, we suggest focusing your energy on constructive, expanding and inspiring interactions.

Ep 192: Typically our WWYBD episodes are the last Friday of the month but we pre-recorded due to our travel plans and we just loved the advice in this one and wanted to share it sooner than later!

WWYBD (what would your bestie do) is where we answer listener-submitted questions. You can submit questions any time via our website, and then we pull questions to fit a specific theme. As we’re traveling a lot this month, we wanted to do a deep dive into flight and travel anxiety. We share tangible tips to get out of your comfort zone so you can live boldly and reap the rewards! We encourage you to do more activities alone to help increase your self-awareness and build confidence.

In the catch up segment, we share the power of positive thoughts by a bunch of incredible synchronicities that we’ve been noticing in our lives lately. Allison shares some revelations about the realness of living in Tulum and her upcoming skydiving plans. Ceara is at home preparing for her European honeymoon.

QUESTIONS ASKED:

  • Hi guys!! I would love any advice you have on how to overcome major flight anxiety. Dying to start my travel era but I don’t handle flying well at alllllllll. Thank you!! 🫶💖

The Transformative Power of Yoga, Meditation and Spirituality with Kun23 Aug 202401:10:24

Ep 188: Allison and Ceara are joined by yoga instructor and spiritual guide Kun, who shares his background in yoga and meditation. His spiritual journey started with his first meditation at 17 years old at Casa Om.

Today, Kun is a well-respected yoga instructor, meditation leader, and practitioner of sound baths, Thai massage, and acroyoga in Tulum.

Kun emphasizes the importance of spending time in nature and the spiritual aspects of yoga. The conversation explores the themes of vulnerability, balancing feminine and masculine energy, and the impact of a spiritual practice on communication with others. Kun also emphasizes the importance of compassion, understanding, and the ability to hold space for others.

TALKING POINTS:

  • Yoga and meditation can have a profound impact on one's life, helping to find stability, connect with nature, and achieve well-being.
  • The practice of yoga is not just about physical postures, but also about the spiritual and emotional aspects.
  • Yoga can help release tension, emotions, and negative energy from the body, allowing the spirit to ascend and experience more joy.
  • It's important to slow down, be present, and embrace where you are in your yoga practice and in life.
  • Yoga can help build confidence, self-acceptance, and self-love, leading to positive changes in one's life. Vulnerability and embracing both feminine and masculine energy is essential for personal growth and healthy relationships.
  • Compassion and understanding are key components of a spiritual practice and can enhance communication with others.
  • Balancing feminine and masculine energy allows for a more harmonious and fulfilling life.
  • Men should be encouraged to be more receptive and sensitive, and women should hold space for them to express vulnerability.

When he's not teaching or leading sessions, you can find Kun playing various instruments, surfing the waves, practicing Thai Chi, or riding his motorcycle, fully embracing the art of living well.
