We will touch on the origins not only of the word psychology but also of the discipline itself and how it developed into an independent science. We will have a look on the four goals and the seven perspectives on psychology and then I will explain what psychologists actually do and how the field of psychology distinguishes itself from other sciences and disciplines. At the end of the episode, I will talk a bit about the WEIRD bias.
