Mike forgets to tell Archie that he’s invited his friends Paul and Robin to spend the night. Paul is no longer the clean cut young man he remembers so archer refuses to let the unmarried couple stay. They’ll be no peace and no love in Archie’s Christian house tonight.

For once, Archie and his son-in-law agree on something that Mike and Gloria are not ready for her unexpected pregnancy Mike decides to quit college get a job and get an apartment anyway, but just before they make their big move, the hand of fate knocks them back

When Mike and Gloria prepare a fancy lunch for their visiting friend, Roger Archie insists that their friend is gay ironically it’s Archie’s tough beer drinking buddy Steve, who sets the record straight. Roger isn’t gay, but Steve is.

Archie tries to chicken out of going to the blood bank with Mike saying he doesn’t want to give blood without knowing who it’s going to what if his blood ends up in a radical who’s been shot when he does make his donation he acts like it was nothing until he sees the bag of blood and faint

When Archie is rear-ended by a Jewish woman while moonlighting for a cab company, he looks through the Yellow Pages to find a lawyer to represent him when the token gentile shows up Archie throws him out of the house and demands to be represented by the Jewish owner of the firm

It starts with a disagreement over what to watch on television and escalates after Gloria comes home with organic food when Archie learns that his meathead son-in-law has written a letter to President Nixon about what’s wrong with America. Archie decides to write one as well telling him what’s right.

In the pilot episode it’s Archie and Edith’s 22nd wedding anniversary and Gloria and Michael have planned a surprise brunch to celebrate but a heated discussion that leads to the question of whether or not Archie’s prejudice alters the parties atmosphere

With $30 in the family pot, the bunkers argue whether the money should go to set Edith’s lyrics to music or buy a gun. Archie buys the gun but when it’s used to hold them hostage by burglars, he’s forced to sing a new tune.

Even though Gloria and Archie protest, the idea, Mike and Lionel attend a demonstration at the UN. To keep peace in the family Archie agrees to go bring Mike back before he gets hurt or arrested and winds up in the slammer himself.

When Mike’s artist friend Szabo comes to town for a show, he finds inspiration in his new muse, Gloria and asks her to pose for him although Mike doesn’t care that his friend sees his wife naked Archie is distrust of Szabo is unbearable.

Archie’s cousin Oscar, who has been picking on Archie since childhood comes to visit and overstay is welcome. Archie wants to get rid of the deadbeat but for once Oscar leaves on his own I’ll bite in the most unusual and expensive way.

Edith accepts a dinner invitation from Mrs. Jefferson, but Archie refuses to go and cancels. when Lionel puts Archie on the spot the Jeffersons end up bringing dinner over to the bunkers, well at least Mrs. Jefferson does Mr. Jefferson refuses to have dinner with them and has gone to the Mets game instead.

One of Archie‘s old army buddies who is now a wealthy man arrives from Beverly Hills for a little reunion at Archie‘s with some of the other guys, but although Eddie looks like 1 million bucks on the outside, who reveals to Mike that he’s a little bankrupt on the inside

Gloria devours some books about women’s lib and attempts to convince her family that they are all equal when Mike won’t take her seriously Gloria moves out but Mike’s main concern isn’t whether or not his wife is returning or being alone with Archie and Edith. It’s something much more important his grades.

When Archie learns his company is about to cut 20% of its personnel, he stays up all night worrying waiting for a phone call from the night guard at work who is trying to find out who’s getting cut and since he’s up worrying the rest of the family might as well stay up and worry with him

While at the market, Edith has a freak accident with a shopping cart, a parked car, and a can of cling peaches in heavy syrup. Edith leaves a note behind, and when the man calls to collect for the damage, Archie prepares for a not so peachy situation.
