S3 Episode 33 – The Beautiful Tree Woman Kimberly Durham03 Mar 202600:46:39

In this episode, we engage in a heartfelt conversation with Kimberly Durham about her journey into environmental activism, and how she gained the confidence and strength to take action by joining a like-minded group of co-workers at Weleda. This led her forward to create the Harborough Woodland tree planting initiative in Leicestershire, where she has motivated and managed the planting of 53,000 trees! We discuss the importance of creating sustainability through community involvement with now 15 Committee members and 700 volunteers; the challenges faced in securing land and trees for planting, and the impact of motherhood on Kimberly's own motivation to get involved and make a difference. Our conversation highlights the significance of creating wildlife corridors, using tree roots to help hold back flood water, and fostering a non-hierarchical community model. Kimberly shares her aspirations for the future and strongly encourages listeners to take action now in their own communities.

S2 Episode 20 – Getting to the Heart of Stress with Dr Alan Watkins04 Nov 202500:55:52

In this fascinating conversation, Rosy welcomes her old friend and colleague Dr Alan Watkins, a physician and neuroscientist whose pioneering work bridges medicine, psychology, and emotional intelligence. Together they explore how our heart rate variability (HRV) reveals the story of our inner state — and how learning to regulate our emotions is the single most powerful thing we can do to improve our health, performance, and happiness.

Alan explains the science behind HRV and why coherence between heart, mind, and emotions is the foundation for resilience, vitality, and clear thinking. From his early medical research to his work with world leaders through his company Complete, Alan shows how measurable physiology can reveal everything from burnout to brilliance — and how emotional mastery can literally change our biology.

This is an inspiring, mind-opening episode about how to take back ownership of your inner world and unlock your natural intelligence.

S2 Episode 19 – Untangling the Stress Fest!28 Oct 202500:49:20

In this episode, Karen Mellers and Dr. Rosy Daniel delve into the complex topic of stress, exploring its definition, impact on health, and the importance of recognizing and managing it.

They discuss the difference between external stress, which is harder to control, and self-stressing, which we can take charge of by changing our beliefs, assumptions, and behaviour patterns.

The conversation explores the idea of “good stress,” known as eustress, which is a healthy challenge that helps us reach peak performance. They also look at how “Nixon’s curve” shows that when stress increases too much, we move into poorer performance and eventually burnout.

Rosy explains the physical symptoms of chronic stress and how many illnesses are linked to stress in our lives. Karen and Rosy highlight the importance of awareness, breathwork, and mentorship in healing from stress, as we often need support to shift the limiting beliefs that keep us stuck in self-stressing.

Jo Dall is a “soul sister” of Karen’s, having shared years of friendship, work, and personal growth together. Jo also worked with Rosy at Weleda and trained to become a Health Creation Mentor.

Everything changed for Jo with the shock of her breast cancer diagnosis. This challenge pushed her to apply everything she had learned to herself and go deep inside to find her healing path. The deeper she went, the more she discovered her connection to Spirit and the profound knowing that she was held, loved, and guided.

With this spiritual awareness, Jo’s life and purpose transformed completely. She moved away from a life of pressure, targets, and ambition, stepping into the role of a Spiritual Healer and Teacher, encouraged by her mentor Julie-Anne Hart.

Jo shares her journey of spiritual transformation, emphasizing the importance of embracing one’s inner knowing and the deep peace that comes with spiritual alignment.

S2 Episode 14 — Body in Mind Pilates with Louise Collinson22 Sep 202500:46:28

In this very special episode, Karen reunites with her dear friend and long-time Pilates coach, Louise Collinson. This is the story of Karen’s transformation, through the limiting beliefs imposed by her medical team when diagnosed with scoliosis to the new energy, strength and fitness she now enjoys following the building of her confidence and release of long-held pain and emotion through movement.

For over 20 years, Louise has supported Karen in managing her scoliosis, helping her find deep healing through the practice of Pilates. This has been as much about the belief that Louise helped Karen to develop in herself as it is about movement. Rosy, Karen and Louise explore how Pilates goes far beyond exercise becoming a dance of confidence, connection, a safe space for release, and a profound practice of body–mind awareness.

About Louise

Louise is a highly experienced Pilates teacher, dancer, and educator for Balanced Body California (@balanced_body). With her beautiful Body in Mind Pilates Studio in Derby, she creates a safe, nurturing environment where people of all ages and abilities can rediscover their bodies, release old patterns, and build resilience. Her approach “Body in Mind Pilates” integrates physical intelligence with emotional awareness, offering both healing and empowerment.

What We Talk About in This Episode

  • How Louise discovered Pilates during her dance training, and why it became central to her life.
  • The deep connection between body, mind, and healing.
  • The six principles of Pilates (plus the seventh we now add today).
  • The difference between mat classes and reformer-based one-to-one sessions.

A Personal Note from Karen

After two years of travelling and living nomadically, reconnecting with Louise has been such a joy. She has not only been my Pilates coach but also one of my greatest “health angels”—a guide who has helped me stay well, unravel my body week after week, and overcome limiting beliefs about what I can and cannot do.

S3 Episode 30 – Healing Relationship Patterns Through a Tantra Journey 17 Feb 202600:50:13

This conversation touches on tender territory, including childhood trauma and sexual themes, held with great care. Please take your time with it and only listen when you feel resourced.

In this deeply intimate and courageous episode, Rosy Daniel steps into the guest seat to share her personal healing journey through Tantra and how it transformed her relationship with herself and with men, enabling her to find the loving relationship that she longed for.

Rosy reflects on years of choosing emotionally unavailable absent partners despite extensive counselling work, and how she began to question whether deep, tender, connected relationship was truly possible for her. Drawn to Tantra through trusted friends and teachers, she describes her first experiences of re-sensitisation in an introductory weekend with Leora Lightwoman and team in a process they called awakening the senses. , the body, and the capacity to receive.

Through her training with John Hawken and Hilary Spenceley of Skydancing Tantra, Rosy explores how disconnection between men and women is shaped by deep wounds: women struggling to receive due to low self-worth, numbness, and inability to receive and men carrying the pain of criticism and being crushed emotionally, creating fear of vulnerability and resorting to emotion free sexual experience with objectified women. Together, Karen and Rosy unpack how sexual energy, when shamed or repressed, can distort into control, violence, and abuse and how, when honoured as the major divine life force, it becomes a source of creativity, connection, pleasure and healing.

In one of the most powerful moments of the episode, Rosy shares a visceral trauma release experience that helped her reframe childhood abuse, breaking an old survival pattern held in her nervous system. This embodied shift enabled her to become able to recognise men who can love women as opposed to the misogynists she has been attracting previously and how this opened the way for the deeply devoted partnership she now shares with Mike.

The conversation weaves together personal story, spiritual insight, the power of working with what is held the body, offering a compassionate exploration of how we heal relational wounds not just through understanding, but through accessing a releasing deeply help physical trauma.

Takeaways

  • Trauma lives in the body, and true change often comes through visceral, somatic experiences, not the mind alone.
  • Healing relationship wounds often requires embodied, nervous-system-level work, not just insight or understanding.
  • Many women struggle to receive because of low self-worth, numbness, and inability to receive, and how this can shape relationship patterns.
  • Many men carry deep wounds from criticism and emotional crushing, which can lead to withdrawal or disconnection
  • Sexual energy, in the Tantric worldview, is the divine life force and creative energy — when repressed or shamed, it can distort into harmful control, violence and abuse; when honoured, it can heal and become a source of blissful union of sex, heart and spirit
  • Being well resourced is essential before deep healing can happen.
  • It is possible to move from numbness and survival into feeling, connection, love devotion and bliss.
  • We are not ‘too much’. Our power, sensitivity, and depth are meant to be held and loved. Being met in both our tenderness and our wildness is part of reclaiming our wholeness personally and in relationship
  • Healing the feminine and masculine within and between us is vital part of the bigger collective rebalancing.

S3 Episode 26 – Feng Shui and the Healthy Home  with Gina Lazenby 20 Jan 202600:49:35

In this rich and deeply grounding conversation, Karen Mellers and Dr Rosy Daniel are joined by healthy homes pioneer Gina Lazenby to explore the Health Creation Principle My Space, and how the environments we live and work in profoundly affect our health and our wellbeing.

From Feng Shui and geopathic stress to clutter, boundaries, sleep, sacred space, ancestral connections and working from home, this episode invites listeners to develop a new sensitivity to the subtle (and not-so-subtle) ways our homes influence our physical, emotional health and energy levels.

In This Episode We Explore

  • Why your home is not separate from you — it is in constant continuum with your health
  • How Gina’s own illness led her into Feng Shui and healthy home design
  • The two most important rooms for health: where you sleep and where you prepare food
  • What Feng Shui is (and what it isn’t)
  • How clutter drains energy and why letting go can be emotionally complex
  • The concept of geopathic stress and how it may affect sleep, inflammation, fertility and chronic illness
  • Why beds, Wi-Fi, EMFs and materials matter more than we realise
  • How working from home blurs boundaries and practical ways to restore balance and how to consciously ‘close the day’ and reclaim home as a place of rest
  • The power of your vista: how what you see shapes what you believe is possible
  • Using art, imagery and nature to expand your inner and outer landscape
  • Creating an Elders’ or Ancestors’ Corner to honour the past without being weighed down by it by dragging family baggage along with you
  • Why love, intention and presence are the true foundations of a healthy home

Key Takeaways

  • Your home is an energy container — it both reflects and shapes your inner world
  • Sleep quality is deeply affected by bed placement, materials, EMFs and subtle energies
  • De-cluttering can support transition clearing space for “Who am I becoming?”
  • Expansive views (real or created with projections or images) expand our sense of possibility and creativity
  • Working from home requires clear boundaries and rituals to protect your rest time and relationships
  • A healthy home is not about perfection — it’s about awareness, intention, care, space and beauty
