I rischi di un'IA non regolamentata sono molteplici: alla fine del 2023, 31 Paesi avevano già approvato una qualche forma di legislazione sull'IA e 13 stavano attivamente discutendo nuove leggi. I sistemi di intelligenza artificiale possono cercare tra enormi volumi di dati personali, compresi i precedenti penali e altre caratteristiche considerate "fattori di rischio".
