Artificial Intelligence, once considered futuristic science fiction, is now a reality. So, how could AI make our daily lives better? And how can we ensure that artificial intelligence is used to benefit real people? Liverpool City Region’s Metropolitan Mayor Steve Rotheram has committed to using AI for good… and to put Liverpool at the centre of the AI revolution.

In this series, actor, science communicator and Liverpudlian, Stephen McGann explores how artificial intelligence will shape our lives, hearing from experts and ordinary people who live or work in Liverpool.

This series was commissioned by the Civic Data Cooperative which is funded by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority. The CDC is supported by the University of Liverpool through Civic Health Innovation Labs Director: Professor Iain Buchan.

AI & Us: The Future in Our Hands was an Audio Always production made in collaboration with the University of Liverpool's Civic Data Cooperative.
