At 11 years old, Oliver was rushed to the ICU. Oliver's memories of the hospital are vague, but he vividly recalls a near-death experience involving a high-speed journey through a dark tunnel toward a brilliant, calming light. In this place of immense love and elation, a telepathic voice told him it wasn't his time, and he was painfully pulled back into his body. Awakening in intensive care, Oliver felt deep sadness and a sense of superficiality in his surroundings. This profound experience, despite his usual skepticism, has left a lasting impact on his life.

He eventually encountered a brilliant light, where he communicated with deceased loved ones and a divine entity they recognized as God, feeling surrounded by love, forgiveness, and acceptance. Despite a desire to continue towards the light, he received a message to return, awakening to their pulmonologist. Reflecting on his experience, he initially questioned its validity but now believes he glimpsed the afterlife and affirmed the existence of God, Heaven, and the importance of free will in determining one's spiritual path.
