Myrina and Tristan are back! After a bit of a mental health hiatus (listen to episodes 51 and 53) the Accidental Swingers return with a trip to Jamaica! Crimson Dragonfly and Phoenix Phyre join Myrina and Tristan in this roundtable discussion about feelings and emotions in the swinger lifestyle. They talk about the fear and jealousy that can occur as well as feeling conflicted and the guilt some feel when they suddenly have feelings for one of their play partners.

The foursome shares some of their experiences, talk about their own issues dealing with jealousy and guilt and share what happened when they first experienced intimate feelings for a lover. They also uncover the magic bullet to working through all these issues: communication with your partner; and give some tips and examples of how to do just that.

The Accidental Swingers discuss the tough choices Myrina had to make as a Hotwife when it comes to playing with "single" men. She made some decisions about what consensual non-monogamy means for her when it comes to playing.

Accidental and unexpected. Myrina's relationship with a playmate heats up, especially as they spend more time getting to know each other between playdates. Their relationship transitions from playmates to lovers to boyfriend and girlfriend and Myrina and Tristan must face the first enormous obstacle in living and experiencing the swinger lifestyle on their terms.  

Tristan and Myrina meet a new lady-friend and sparks fly between her and Tristan. Their play escalates quickly and Tristan has his first solo playdate. However, a breakdown of understanding and communication causes big problems for Myrina. It forces Tristan and Myrina to take a long hard look at the issue and figure out what went wrong when everything should have been so right.

Deciding to push their boundaries a little further, Myrina and Tristan check another item off their "bucket" list with a visit to an adult bookstore and theater with another couple. But were they ready for all that this adventure had to offer?  

Myrina and Tristan also discuss Myrina's first real solo "date" with a single guy in the lifestyle. Tristan talks about how he felt, waiting at home, watching baseball while his wife went out to dinner and a playdate. 

It was going to be awesome; until it wasn't. We've all done it. Built something up in our minds, just knowing how great the experience is going to be. The excitement. The buildup. The anticipation. And then, it falls apart. Myrina and Tristan share stories of dates that did not go as planned and learn a very valuable lesson in managing their own expectations for relationships they are building with other swinger couples.

Excited yet totally terrified, we were determined NOT to show up to Naughty without “knowing” couples in advance.  Myrina devised a way to connect with people in Florida were going to NiN as well, and could be potential playmates for the future! 

Day 1, we arrived bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and dove right in to bar takeovers and parties.  Having been in the lifestyle for only about 4 months, we’d never been to a house party, a group party or done anything more than have a foursome with another couple.  Yet here we were in NOLA with approximately 1,000 couples and a laundry list of things we wanted to try and experiences we wanted to have.

We talk about finally meeting, in person, some of the folks we’d connected with in the weeks leading up to the trip as well as one special connection we made with another couple.   You’ll hear about our tour of the amazing playrooms at the hotel and whether or not we decide to play their on our first night at NiN!

Even savvy Swingers can't always avoid drama. In situations when things may not be going exactly as planned, just realizing when to slow down, when to step back and knowing when to say "when" can help keep you from stepping on landmines and getting caught up in some drama.

But, we're the Accidental Swingers and, as usual, we learned these lessons the hard way.  

We talk about three back to back dates with different couples; we learn the value of trusting your instincts and the importance of sticking to the plan.  Unfortunately we didn't know any better and flubbed our way through some uncomfortable situations!  

A vanilla date with a lifestyle couple turns into a playdate, that, honestly, should have stayed a vanilla date. We run into some drama with the wife of one of the couples that we play with. And, in a moment of weakness, Myrina ignores her inner voice and allows a meet and greet date to turn into a playdate.  We definitely have some sexy fun but honestly, we should have stayed at the bar!

As always, we talk about what we could have done, we laugh at our mistakes and vow to do better next time!

We also begin to understand and explore our desire to have a deeper, emotional connection with our swinging partners.  We dubbed it Social Swinging vs. Sexual Swinging.  Sexual swinging is more about the physical sex: you go to a club, find a couple, have sex and maybe you'll see each other again, maybe not.  Social swinging, to us, is developing more of a relationship; going out together and doing more than just having sex.  It's about building connections and creating friendships.  In our journey, we quickly realized if we really connected with a couple, that we wanted to explore the possibility of more than just a sexual relationship with them but perhaps form a friendship as well.

Full of sexual energy and hormones, Myrina starts communicating with a single guy as they build up to their MFM playdate.  We're the Accidental Swingers, so true to form, things don't quite go the way we planned!
