Dans ce douzième épisode d’Abratalks, nous recevons Simon Suleymani, militant pour les droits de l’homme, journaliste et cinéaste, pour une conversation éclairante sur l’exil, la résistance et la paix au Moyen-Orient.

Simon a très tôt choisi de devenir une voix de son peuple. En 2017, après le coup d’État manqué de 2016 et l’instauration de l’état d’urgence en Turquie, son travail d’enquête sur les injustices subies par les Kurdes lui vaut d’être arrêté et condamné pour « propagande terroriste ».

Contraint de fuir son pays, il trouve refuge en France où il poursuit aujourd’hui son engagement pour les droits des Kurdes et la préservation de leur culture, notamment à travers le cinéma.

Il propose l’Abrahamisme comme cadre de coexistence et rêve d’une « Union d’Abraham » élargie, capable d’insuffler une dynamique nouvelle dans la région, fondée sur la dignité des peuples, le respect des droits humains et des minorités.

Dans ce 11e épisode d’Abratalks, nous recevons Sophie Wiesenfeld, fondatrice du think tank Hexagon Society, basé à Londres, pour une conversation sur le projet européen comme source d'inspiration féconde pour l'abrahamisme.

Issue d’un héritage marocain, polonais et tunisien, à la croisée des mondes occidental et oriental, Sophie revient sur la manière dont ses racines et son parcours académique ont façonné son attachement à la cause européenne et son engagement pour les droits de l'homme, en particulier au Moyen-Orient.

Mémoire, universalisme, dialogue interculturel, rôle de l’Europe après le Brexit et ponts à construire avec la région MENA...autant de sujets évoqués qui nous invitent à repenser notre rapport à ces deux régions qui s'enrichissent mutuellement. Sophie nous partage également son regard sur les enjeux contemporains, de la situation actuelle en Iran à la cause kurde, en particulier en Syrie, et esquisse une vision d’avenir fondée sur la coexistence, l’intelligence collective et la responsabilité des nouvelles générations.

Dans ce huitième épisode d’Abratalks, nous recevons Othman El Kachtoul, diplomate, islamologue et enseignant. Né à Tanger dans une famille traditionnelle aux lointaines origines espagnoles, Othman étudie l'ingénierie en France puis commence sa carrière chez Décathlon. Il rejoint ensuite le Quai d’Orsay, rattrapé par son goût de l'autre et du dialogue interculturel. Après plusieurs années en poste au Moyen-Orient, une agrégation d'arabe réussie et une thèse de doctorat consacrée à l'Etat islamique, il rejoint le monde universitaire où il enseigne depuis l'islamologie. Un échange passionnant sur le rôle du diplomate, l'étude critique du fait religieux et les convergences, plus fréquentes qu'on ne le croit, entre les textes sacrés fondateurs des trois monothéismes. Mais également sur notre rapport à l'identité, à la coexistence et à la transmission des savoirs, à l'heure où la montée des radicalismes et l'importation des conflits au Moyen-Orient en France mettent à mal notre cohésion nationale.
