Episode 30 - RoboCop (1987) 10 Dec 202400:54:24

What's up Road Warriors! We're back with another action packed episode for Marc's pick of RoboCop from 1987! This is a movie that neither of us have watched in a long time but holy shit it may end being a yearly watch. If you're like us and it's been a while, we definitely recommend giving it a watch ASAP because this movie is a blast in more ways than one!

Come back in a couple weeks to bust out the egg nog and listen to us talk about Brooke's pick of the month, Violent Night! It should be a "sleigh"ing good time!

This was Brooke's pick of September and it's one that never disappoints! Episode 25 - A Fistful of Dollars (1964) 27 Aug 202401:05:06

What's up Road Warriors! We've traded in the martial arts and fast cars for gunslingers riding horseback in this episode. We're taking it back to 1964 to talk about our first Western movie, A Fistful of Dollars. This movie is a highly rated classic, but you'll have to listen to find out if we think it's overrated or not.

Come back in 2 weeks where we'll be talking about Marc's pick of xXx, which teenage us would have considered a classic but it's likely to have lost some of it's appeal by now.

What's up Road Warriors! We're coming at you this week with the high-octane, ass-kicking martial arts film that is The Raid: Redemption from 2011! This was Marc's pick of the month and with it only being a second watch for both of us it's hard to not put this one high up on our lists of favourite action movies! This movie was nonstop action from beginning to end and if you haven't seen it yet we highly recommend checking it out!

If you've watched this and have thoughts on it, please let us know!

Come back in 2 weeks where Brooke will be getting us back on track with The Terminator!

This was the epitome of our childhood and an absolute comfort movie for both of us so come listen to us gush about it, even if there IS a lot wrong with it!

Come back in 2 weeks for Marc's pick of Ong Bak, which is another martial arts movie...but without the cheesy one liners and corkscrew kicks!

Episode 19 - The Running Man (1987) 14 May 202401:00:33

What's up Road Warriors! We're here with our first non-Mad Max episode in 2 months and discussing Marc's pick of May, The Running Man. This isn't exactly the first movie people think about when your mention Arnold's name, but it's a classic of his regardless. This movie is filled with American Gladiator-type action, cheesy one-liners and more spandex than a swim meet; one of us digs it, the other maybe not so much.

We'll be taking a small break and not quite sure when we'll be back but take comfort in knowing that Brooke's next pick of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers will have us filled to the rim with nostalgic excitement! Until then, stay chrome and shiny!

Episode 13 - Nobody 05 Feb 202401:25:49

Hello and welcome back to another episode of A Podcast on Fury Road. This week was Brooke's pick for February and a first time watch for Marc; Nobody from 2021. If you slept on this movie like Marc did, now is a great time to go and watch it! This movie was absolutely insane with action and showed us just how far a father will go to retrieve a kitty cat bracelet for his daughter!

In response to the terribly sad news of Carl Weathers passing away, we're going to be covering Rocky for Marc's pick of the month so make sure you come back for that. Then starting in March we have a 2 month long event that we'll be revealing at the end of the episode!

Episode 39 - The Other Guys (2010) 19 Apr 202501:12:47

What's up Road Warriors! It's been a while since we've done an action comedy and Brooke thought we were due, so he picked The Other Guys! This movie had one of the biggest WTF moments in 2010 and took moviegoers by surprise in the first 15 minutes, and we're left with nonstop laughs for the rest of the movie.

Marc decided to pick another movie we can laugh at, but for different reasons, with his pick of Jupiter Ascending! So make sure you come back in a couple weeks to check out that episode.

Episode 12 - Desperado (1995) 23 Jan 202400:58:48

Welcome back to another episode, this week we're traveling to NYC to follow The Warriors as they battle their way back to Coney Island after being falsely accused of killing a gang leader! This movie is full of ass kicking action and cheesy dialogue and we wouldn't have it any other way!

Come back in two weeks when we'll be taking a trip down to Mexico to discuss Desperado!

Episode 10 - Die Hard (1988) 24 Dec 202301:18:46

Happy Holidays ya filthy animals! We're bringing this episode out a day early because tomorrow is Christmas and we want to make sure you all have it lined up for any travelling you may be doing! This week we're talking about the Christmas....Action....maybe Christmas-Action movie crossbreed, Die Hard! Which side of the argument are you on; Christmas movie or not?

Episode 7 - Spawn (1997) 06 Nov 202301:07:59

Welcome back to another episode! This week we sat down and discussed Todd McFarlane's graphic novel turned horrid CGI shit fest in Spawn from 1997! This was a frequent watch for Marc growing up but only a second watch for Brooke, we can both agree however that this is one of those movies that deserves a reboot/remake. The foundation is there for an awesome movie, but the deliverance in this adaptation just wasn't it.

Come back in a couple weeks where we'll be discussing Marc's pick for November, Escape from New York!

Episode 6 - The Mummy (1999) 23 Oct 202301:17:10

Welcome back to another episode! This week we're taking a trip to the sands of Egypt to fight off an ancient mummy named Imhotep! Marc wanted to pick something that would fit in for October but still keeping the action theme, so The Mummy it is! This was peak Brendan Fraser and unfortunately one of the roles that led to his eventual hiatus from acting for a period of time.

This movie was a staple of our pre-teen to teen years, how does it rank on your list of late 90's/early 2000's movies?

Come back next time for another childhood favourite, Spawn!

Episode 5 - Hard Boiled (1992) 10 Oct 202301:06:05

Welcome back to another action packed episode on the Fury Road! This week we're talking about 1992's Hard Boiled, which was directed by the legendary John Woo! This was a first time watch for both of us and man are we ever glad we watched it!

This movie was packed with off the rails gun fights, some classic comedy breaks and a surprisingly heartfelt storyline. It had villians we loved to hate and also hate to love and a protagonist that deserves more recognition. If you've seen this one, let us know your thoughts!

Come back for our next episode on 1999's The Mummy, Marc's action horror movie for the month of October!

Episode 4 - Edge of Tomorrow (2014) 25 Sep 202301:34:28

Welcome back to another episode and Marc's pick of the month, Edge of Tomorrow from 2014. This was a first time watch for Marc but it's one of Brooke's favourite Tom Cruise standalone movies. Where does this one rank in your eyes? Does this movie deserve the accolade or do you think it deserves to LIVE DIE REPEAT?

Come back in 2 weeks where we'll be discussing Brooke's pick of Hard Boiled, which will be a first watch for both of us!

We're back this week with another action packed episode with Kingsman: The Secret Service from 2014! How is this movie already 9 years old?! This movie has one of the greatest action scenes ever and performed by a guy that normally doesn't do action movie; if you don't know what we're talking about...YouTube the church scene. You won't be disappointed!

This week we saw a street kid become a spy for a highly prestigious and secretive organization, but next week we're joining Tom Cruise as he relives the same day over and over again in Marc's pick, Edge of Tomorrow!

Episode 38 - Becky (2020) 04 Apr 202500:59:36

What's up Road Warriors! Marc decided to pick his own movie with an actor stepping out of their comfort this week with Becky from 2020! Kevin James is obviously known for his comedic roles but there's nothing funny about his character in this movie and we are totally okay with that! This movie is an absolute blast and everyone should watch it.

Come back in a couple weeks where we'll be talking about The Other Guys which IS all about the comedy!

Episode 2 - The Rock (1996) 28 Aug 202301:21:29

Welcome back to another action packed episode! This week we're taking a trip to Alcatraz in The Rock! This movie was released in 1996 and packs a big ass punch. One of us grew up loving this movie while the other just watched it for the first time last year, but we can both agree that it's balls to the wall fun even if the story doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

We decided to scrap the idea of doing Face/Off for our next episode and decided to go with Brooke's pick of The Kingsman; back to back Nicolas Cage movies would be fun but why not switch it up!

What's up Road Warriors! Brooke took the advice of our good friend Ben from XHR Podcast and decided to choose Brawl in Cell Block 99 for our pick this week! Needless to say we are hyped that we listened to his advice because this movie kicks serious ass! We're all for Vince Vaughn doing more movies like this and continuing to stray from his comfort zone.

Come back in a couple weeks for Marc's pick of ANOTHER actor stepping out of his comfort zone with Becky!

Episode 36 - Red Dawn (1984) 08 Mar 202500:56:47

What's up Road Warriors! We're back this week with Marc's pick of March, Red Dawn! We were on a run of high rated movies but that may have come to end with this one. There's lots of explosions, lots of gunfights and lots shitty script writing. Come find out if we think this one is worth a rewatch or not!

Make sure you come back in 2 weeks for Brooke's pick of Brawl of Cell Block 99, which was recommended by our homie Ben from XHR Podcast!

Episode 35 - Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (2000) 21 Feb 202501:10:13

What's up Road Warriors! We're here with Brooke's pick of February and our third back to back to back BANGER of a movie, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. It's been almost 25 years since either of watched this and we were most definitely due! We can't believe we slept on this movie for so long after we both watched it shortly after it first came out. This is one beautiful movie and has some of the best martial arts fights we've ever seen.

Come back in 2 weeks for Marc's pick of Red Dawn from 1984!

Episode 34 - 1917 (2019) 06 Feb 202501:01:38

What's up Road Warriors! We're back with Marc's pick of February and our first ever war movie with 1917. This was a first time watch for Marc but it definitely won't be a last! This movie doesn't necessarily pack a lot of action into it's 2 hour runtime but the action we do see is some pretty damn realistic portrayals of trench warfare in WW1.

Come back in 2 weeks for Brooke's pick of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, which neither have seen in the better part of 2 decades so it should be an interesting episode where we'll find out if it's survived the test of time!

Episode 33 - Sicario (2015) 24 Jan 202501:08:30

What's up Road Warriors! We're taking a trip to Mexico to bust up some drug cartels in Sicario! This was Brooke's pick of the month and our first Denis Villeneuve movie. It's safe to say we both really enjoyed a lot of aspects of this movie but for one of us it did fall a little short of expectations.

Come back in 2 weeks for Marc's pick for February and our first war movie, 1917!
