| The Dog Days - Rounders Roundup Week 21! | 07 Aug 2026 | 00:21:52 | |
Bit of a different Roundup this week, as Cal flies solo! Whilst fans of the Dodgers, Brewers, Rays and other playoff hopefuls are loving the endless summer of the regular baseball season, the same can't be said for all 30 fanbases... For a team like the San Francisco Giants or the New York Mets, the deadline is where the season officially ends as front offices trade away the players that had been shining for them. Whilst this offers the chance of renewal and rebirth through the chance given to prospects, its also a sobering reminder of how the season has gone and the few shining lights that fans were enjoying, are shipped off to other teams. So join Cal as he discusses what its like to be a fan of a team that sells at the deadline and gives a new meaning to the phrase - "Dog Days of Summer"!

The All-Star game is almost upon us, a chance for baseball fans to take a step back from the grind of supporting their team and come together to celebrate the best players in MLB...or so we thought? The past couple of years has seen a rise in undeserved players making it in with a chance of getting to the ASG through the dreaded Fan Vote! Last year Ronald Acuna Jr started the game despite having only played a month due to injury and I'm afraid it's only got worse this year! Alejandro Kirk, Vladimir Guerrero Jr and Teoscar Hernandez are merely just some of the players that have reached Phase 2 of voting - despite all of these guys either having been injured or just plain bad this year! The All-Star selection needs a rethink and who better than to help plan it that the BDB team! So join Cal & Gaz as they give some suggestions as to how the selection process could be improved as well as announcing BDB's own All-Star team for the National League! Happy Listening!

| BDB Does Podcast Episode 27 - What makes a White Sock? | 14 Jun 2026 | 00:52:39 | |
Gaz has been a baseball fan for 4 seasons now and still doesn't understand what makes a good baseball rivalry.....but hopefully this episode can help! The Crosstown Classic is the name given to the series between the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox but despite the close proximity between the teams, may not be one of the best rivalries in baseball! What makes the Crosstown Classic so good? Find out on this episode! The 2024 Chicago White Sox were historically the worst team in modern day baseball, finishing with a record of 41-121. But so far in 2026 its been a completely different story! They are currently 2nd in the AL Central and have a winning record as we approach the halfway point of the season! Murakami-mania, top prospects making an impact and good vibes appear to be driving this team to a potential wildcard appearance this year - so what exactly is making the White Sox tick? Joining us from the Sox on 35th Podcast is Carson Kass, lifetime White Sox fan and all round great guy! So join Gaz and Carson as they discuss what has worked for the White Sox this year and what exactly turned them around from perennial losers, to arguably the most fun team in baseball this year!

| BDB Does Podcast Episode 26 - Middle Infield Rankings! | 31 May 2026 | 00:37:39 | |
It's time for a bit of a change-up and this time the lads have done a positional ranking episode! So join George & Gaz as they rank all 30 MLB Teams' middle infields! The middle infield is arguably the core of the positional group - with the Shortstop leading the defence and the 2nd Baseman having to show multiple defensive characteristics! Therefore we thought we would rank each team's starting SS and 2B, by putting them in 1 of 5 tiers: Lock, Stock & Smoking Barrels - They can hit dingers and have the defensive side locked down! Young but not Dumb - they may be on the younger side, but this doesn't stop these guys from being really good at their job! One Man Army - one of them is doing all the work! More Buck than Bang - disappointing this year considering the expectations! Swiss Cheese - as you would expect, full of holes! Let us know what you think of our list in the comments!

The Subway Series, The Crosstown Classic, The Citrus Bowl, The Freeway Series and the Eddie Vedder Cup (?) were just some of the marquee matchups played this weekend as MLB decided to turn up the pressure! Well what teams sunk like the Eddie Vedder Cup merchandise and which ones rose like Eddie Vedder at a Cubs game? Find out with Gaz & Alan on this week's Roundup! Expansion talk is all the craze in 2026, especially with MLB's consistent focus on making MLB a 32-team league in the near future! Whilst we have previously discussed where we would like expansion teams to be located and potential division realignments, we've never actually discussed what an expansion roster would look like! So join George, Gaz and Cal as they each give us their expansion rosters, with a certain set of criteria applied, along with where their team will be located and its name! Also on this episode, Boo returns with some Hot Takes, we do a divisional check-in after one month of the MLB season and Start Bench Cut takes a philosophical turn! Happy Listening!

What does this mean for Volpe's future in the team? We discuss all that here! And finally there is a certain Japanese slugger lighting up the league this year and its' not the one you might think...listen to find out more!!!
| BDB Does Podcast - Interview w/ the Portland Sea Dogs GM, Jesse Scaglion! | 03 May 2026 | 00:49:55 | |
The lore with a Brit Does Baseball and the Portland Sea Dogs is almost as old as our podcast itself! Almost a year ago, Cal confused Portland Oregon with Portland Maine, and instead of realising his mistake and apologising (like he should have done), he instead doubled down and thus began his rivalry with the Portland Sea Dogs! Well, as a way of atoning for his attitude, Gaz reached out to the General Manager of the Portland Sea Dogs and set up this incredible interview! Joining us all the way from Portland (Maine), is Jesse Scaglion, the GM for the Portland Sea Dogs!!! The Sea Dogs are the current Double-A affiliate for the Boston Red Sox and are one of the most unique minor league teams in baseball in that they are the only professional baseball team in Maine! So join Gaz & Cal as they discuss with Jesse what its like to work for the Sea Dogs, what a General Manager actually does, his career to date so far and who his favourite player is to have passed through the Sea Dogs' system! | Rounders Roundup Week 6 - Sox & Streaks! | 29 Apr 2026 | 00:37:18
It's been a week of change in MLB - as the Red Sox unexpectedly got rid of long-time manager Alex Cora this past weekend! After the slow start for the Sox, Alex Cora was relieved of his duties following Boston's 17-1 win against the Orioles. Joining Cora on the unemployment line were 6 other coaches - so it was a massive Spring Clearout for John Henry and the gang! In other news, after the Mets got over their recent 12 game slump, attention turned to the Philadelphia Phillies who decided to get swept by the Cubs last week en route to an 10 game losing streak! In comparison, the Cubs went on a 10-game win streak as they swept both the Mets and Phillies before coming up against LA's finest this past weekend! So join Cal & George as they discuss all things Sox and Streaks from this past week in baseball!

Konnor Griffin, Kevin McGonigle and Colt Emerson are just some of the top prospects that have signed long extensions in the past month or so, despite not having played much baseball at the MLB level! So why are teams locking down these top players for huge sums of money? Join us as we discuss! Also on this episode, two of the best hitters of this generation went Head to Head as Mike Trout and the Angels visited Aaron Judge and the Yankees! Who came out on top - let us know in the comments! And finally the Rockies beat the Dodgers in back to back games this past weekend - newsworthy in itself, hence making it to the Roundup!
| BDB Does Podcast Episode 23 - Met's go to Therapy! | 19 Apr 2026 | 00:48:17 | |
What's it like being a fan of the New York Mets? They have the richest owner in all of baseball in Steve Cohen, signed a generational talent in Juan Soto and yet still decide to randomly hit a 10 game losing streak in the first 3 weeks of the season! It's an absolute roller coaster being a Mets fan, as Gaz finds out this week as he doubles up as therapist for George! George has been a Mets fan for the past 5 years and even in that short space of time, has experienced the highs of the NLCS run in 2024, to the lows of the one of the greatest slumps in recent memory of 2025. So join them as discuss what it is like to be a fan of the New York Metropolitans, with some of Boo's finest Hot Takes and some Start Bench Cuts added for good measure!

Saddle up BDB fans - it's time for a British baseball episode! Joining Gaz & Alan on this one is Taff Mercer from the Plymouth Outlaws - a baseball club based down in the South-West of England! The Plymouth Outlaws are one of the newer clubs in Britain, founded in 2025 by 3 players who had previously played for the Plymouth Mariners club. They now operate two teams in British Baseball, one at the Division 4 and one at the Division 5 level! What really sets them apart however is their social media game - with reels and interviews with the team going viral and really helping to drive interest in the game down South! Plymouth has had a long history with baseball, due to Naval officers from the US bringing the game over with them when they were stationed there (Plymouth has a long proud history as a naval base in the UK)! Since then clubs have been popping up all over the South West, in places such as Plymouth, Exeter and even Tayport! So we sat down with Taff to discuss why the game is growing so much locally and what the Outlaws have done to help promote the game! We also discuss the general feeling of the game over here and what we wish MLB would do more of to help promote the game! If you're interested in learning more about the Plymouth Outlaws, then drop them a follow on Instagram at @plymouthoutlaws - you won't regret it!

It's time for a MiLB reliever interview - so join Alan & Gaz as they sit down with Cooper Adams - a reliever in the Boston Red Sox organisation! Cooper was a standout pitcher at Mount St. Mary's University in Maryland but didn't manage to find a major league team through the well-documented draft route. Instead he went to the famous pitching lab - 'Tread Athletics' - and through their pro day programme - managed to find himself a place within the Boston Red Sox organisation! Cooper began his professional career at Greenville Drive (High-A) before finishing the season strongly at Cal's favourite team - the Portland Sea Dogs (Double-A)! Heading into 2026, Cooper finds himself in Florida in the big league camp waiting to find out where he's going to start his second year in professional ball! | BDB 2025 Season Review Series Episode #16 - The Tampa Bay Rays (w/ Grant Kerry!) | 01 Mar 2026 | 00:58:05
It's time for our final 2026 Season Review and we are finishing up in Tampa of all places, as we review the Rays! Joining Gaz and Cal on this one is Grant Kerry - former GB Men's Alumni and one of Cal's oldest friends! The Rays started off very strong in 2026, at one point leading the AL East, before sliding to a 77-85 record, good for 4th place! The season didn't start the way the Rays would have wanted, with Tropicana Field being unusable following Hurricane Milton passing through. So the Rays played half their games at the Yankees' Spring Training facility - Steinbrenner Field! Despite playing at a minor league ballpark, the Rays did put on a show worthy of the major leagues at times! Junior Caminero was smashing the ball everywhere and Jonathan Aranda was a contender for the batting title for much of last year! Throw in the speedy Chandler Simpson and the ever-reliable Yandy Diaz, and its safe to say that the Rays had a lineup capable of causing damage to a lot of the teams in the league! The off-season was very interesting for the Rays, with them being involved in numerous 3-team trades and a lot of new faces in the 2026 roster! So how exactly will they fare in 2026? Joining Gaz & Cal on this episode is Grant Kerry, avid Rays fan and childhood friend of Cal! So have a listen as we review the Rays' 2025 season and discuss what 2026 may have in store - Happy Listening!

Join George, Gaz and Cal as they share what they enjoy most about it! | BDB 2025 Season Review Series Episode #15 - The New York Yankees (w/ Alan from Bad Arm!) | 06 Feb 2026 | 00:54:10
It's time Yankees fan - on our 15th edition of the 2025 Season Review Series, we're reviewing the New York Yankees! Joining Gaz and Cal on this one is Alan Taylor - owner of Bad Arm, the UK's best baseball meets fashion brand! (Also one of our new friends!) The Yankees seemed to struggle this year to a 94-68 record, finishing 2nd in the AL East before beating their long time rivals the Boston Red Sox in the Wildcard Round! Unfortunately, in the ALDS they came up against a more than game Blue Jays, losing 3-2 and being bounced from the playoffs. We can't talk about the Yankees without mentioning the AL MVP, Aaron Judge, who finished the 2025 season putting up video game numbers! He was supported by his outfield teammates Trent Grisham & Cody Bellinger, who all combined for one of the most potent offenses in all of baseball! It was a good thing that the offense were as good as they were, because the Yankees bullpen didn't want to help it seems! Devin Williams, Luke Weaver, Jake Bird and Mark Leiter Jr are just a number of pitchers who cost the Yankees a few games last year! So what does 2026 have in store for the Yanks? Joining Gaz & Cal on this episode is Alan Taylor from Bad Arm Baseball (and also one of our new roster additions!) So have a listen as we review the Yankees' 2025 season and discuss what 2026 may have in store - Happy Listening!
| Brit Does Baseball Does Podcast Episode 15 - The Roster Expands! | 01 Feb 2026 | 01:03:49 | |
With the 2026 season almost upon us (you can smell Spring Training in the air), we thought it would be a fantastic chance to introduce you to the newest members of the Brit Does Baseball team! We have 3 new additions joining the team (some of whom you may have already heard on the pod): Up first is Josh, band mate of Cal in Crocodile Death Trap, and more importantly our new AL West expert! Josh is a fan of the Seattle Mariners and made his debut appearance on our Mariners 2025 Season Review! We look forward to keeping track of the Big Dumper's exploits on a more consistent basis! Also joining the podcast is George - a fan of the New York Mets! George also made his debut on our Mets 2025 Season Review, so he's had a taste as to what to expect! We can't wait to see what George is going to bring to the pod - especially supporting the New York Team that wasn't referred to as the 'Evil Empire' for years! Our final addition is Alan - creator of baseball based fashion brand 'Bad Arm Baseball' but arguably more importantly a new member of the BDB roster! We thought we had to equal out the New York fandom - so we have done that by bringing in New York Yankee fan Alan! So there you have a brief introduction to our new roster additions, joining Gaz and Cal with the aim of bringing you even better content in 2026! We debut this new era for the podcast by playing a few games and quizzes - with Cal putting all the new debutants and Gaz through their paces before the 2026 season begins properly! | BDB 2025 Season Review Series Episode #14 - The Philadelphia Phillies (w/ Jay from Drunks on the Pond!) | 25 Jan 2026 | 01:08:24
On our 14th episode of the 2025 Season Review Series, we're looking at the Philadelphia Phillies! It's a full circle moment for Gaz as he's joined by Jay from Drunks on the Pond, part of the Infield Media network! Gaz made one of his earliest podcast appearances on Drunks on the Pond and it was nice almost a year later for BDB to return the favour! The Phillies had what you may consider a standard season at this point considering their standards - finishing with a record of 96-66 and taking home the AL East title! They did face off against the Dodgers in the NLDS but unfortunately came up short, as the Dodgers took the series 3-1! The Phillies were carried by Kyle Schwarber offensively, as the beefy boy smashed 56 HRs and 132 RBIs! He was supported by long-time friend of Rob Manfred, Bryce Harper and Max Kepler. On the pitching side, Zack Wheeler again showed his class before heading to the IL, but in his absence Christopher Sanchez ably stood in, pitching to a 2.50 ERA and helping lead the Phillies to the playoffs! So will Philadelphia run it back successfully in 2026? Joining Gaz on this episode is Jay from the Drunks on the Pond podcast, part of the Infield Media Network! So have a listen as we review the Phillies' 2025 season and discuss what 2026 may have in store - Happy Listening!
| BDB 2025 Season Review Series Episode #13 - The Cleveland Guardians (w/ Sarah Allis from the Caught Lookin' Podcast!) | 22 Jan 2026 | 01:07:57 | |
Well it's time for lucky No. 13 in the 2025 Season Review Series and this one we are reviewing the Cleveland Guardians! Gaz and Cal are joined by Sarah Allis - from the Caught Lookin' podcast! The Guardians had a great season in 2025 - managing to chase down the Detroit Tigers to win the AL Central with a record of 88-74! Despite having a typical quiet offseason, it was still business as usual for the Guards as they ended up making up a massive 15.5 games to beat the Tigers to the AL Central title - an MLB record! What was the reward for this I hear you ask? A Wildcard meeting with those pesky Tigers and despite it being a close series, the Tigers did edge it 2-1, thus eliminating them from the post-season! Despite losing Luis Ortiz and long-time closer Emmanuel Clase to a suspected betting scandal, the pitching was a real strength for the Guardians in 2025! Led by the Big Rig, Gavin Williams, in the rotation and Cade Smith in the bullpen, the Guards were a difficult side to breakdown at times! On the other side of the ball however, the offense did not really live up to their end of the bargain. Jose Ramirez and Kyle Manzardo were good for their part, but the rest of the team didn't want to join in the fun! So what does 2026 have in store for the Guardians? Joining Gaz & Cal on this episode is Sarah Allis from the Caught Lookin' Podcast - a Cleveland Guardians and sports podcast with an all-female crew! So have a listen as we review the Guards' 2025 season and discuss what 2026 may have in store (hopefully no betting related scandals!) - Happy Listening!
| BDB 2025 Season Review Series Episode #12 - The New York Mets (w/ George Westaway!) | 18 Jan 2026 | 00:48:56 | |
A dozen 2025 Season Review episodes have now been completed, with this one seeing us reviewing New York's favourite team - the New York Mets! Gaz is joined on this one by fellow brit - George Westaway! After signing Juan Soto to a record contract in the 2025 off-season, big things were expected from them this past season, and boy oh boy did they start well! The Mets started out with a 45-24 record and looked a lock for both the NL East and maybe more, but a combination of injuries, untimely slumps and no Grimace result in a 38-55 record the rest of the way. For all the money he was paid, Soto more than lived up to his end of the bargain as he led the team with 43 HRs. He was supported by Pete Alonso and Francisco Lindor, with even Brandon Nimmo putting up a career year offensively! However the pitchers did not want to commit to this level for the duration of the season, with David Peterson and Clay Holmes struggling in the second half, Frankie Montas and Sean Manaea plagued by injuries and Kodai Senga being moved down to Triple-A! The Mets have made a lot of noise in the 2026 off-season, trading for Marcus Semien, signing Bo Bichette and Devin Williams, but also losing Edwin Diaz and Pete Alonso! So what does 2026 have in store for Stevey Cohen and the boys? Joining Gaz on this episode is fellow Brit - George Westaway! So have a listen as we review the Mets' 2025 season and discuss what 2026 may have in hold for New York's most loveable baseball team - Happy Listening!
| BDB 2025 Season Review Series Episode #11 - The Texas Rangers (w/ Jeremy Martinez!) | 16 Jan 2026 | 00:40:15 | |
Our 11th stop of our 2025 Season Review Series sees us going down South as we discuss the Texas Rangers! Gaz is joined on this one by Texas Rangers fan - Jeremy Martinez! It was a tale of two sides for the Rangers in 2025, with amazing pitching being let down quite massively by the offense! The pitching was led on the mound by future HOF Jacob DeGrom and long-time stalwart Nathan Eovaldi and these guys were backed up in a massive way by the bullpen. Phil Maton, Jacob Webb and Hoby Milner to name just a few really contributed to the Rangers late on in games! Alas on the positional side, the Rangers were struck by the injury bug which prevented only a handful of players from playing more than 120 games. Evan Carter led the team in HRs but the usual suspects such as Jonah Heim and Adolis Garcia were nowhere to be seen with the bat! So what does 2026 have in store for the Rangers? Following on from the Brandon Nimmo trade there is a new look to the Rangers this year - is this another rebuild year or will they look to capitalise on a middling AL Wildcard picture? Joining Gaz on this episode is Jeremy Martinez! So have a listen as we review the Rangers and we discuss what 2026 may hold for the Texas - Happy Listening!
| BDB 2025 Season Review Series Episode #10 - The Milwaukee Brewers (w/ the 9 Inning Nomad!) | 11 Jan 2026 | 00:51:35 | |
We're a third of the way through our 2025 Season Review Series and this time we're talking about the Milwaukee Brewers! Despite being a Cubs fan, Cal & Dan have stitched up Gaz by making him do this one solo - but he is joined by Chris from 9 Inning Nomad! They took on their NL Central rival the Chicago Cubs in the NLDS and won 3-2 before getting swept by the Dodgers in the NLCS 4-0! Despite Willy Adames leaving in free agency, the Brewers were actually better in 2025 - led offensively by franchise icon Christian Yelich and young upstart Jackson Chourio! It was the year of the underrated trades by the Brewers, as they traded for both Quinn Priester and Andrew Vaughan, both of these went under the radar. Well come the end of the season, there are arguments that these were 2 of the most impactful trades of the year! The rotation was anchored down by long-time ace Freddy Peralta and they also got meaningful contributions from youngsters Chad Patrick and Jacob Misirowski! Pat Murphy is leading a very youthful organisation in Milwaukee and him and his pocket pancakes may be laughing all the way to the NL Central again next year! Joining Gaz on this episode is Chris from 9 Inning Nomad! So have a listen as we review the team with the best record in baseball and Chris gives us his insight into what 2026 may hold for the Brewers - Happy Listening!
| BDB 2025 Season Review Series Episode #9 - The Baltimore Orioles (w/ Sports Man Dan!) | 04 Jan 2026 | 00:58:33 | |
It's time for our first Season Review Series of the New Year - so we thought we'd begin our year in familiar territory with Dan's Baltimore Orioles! Joining Cal & Dan on this episode is Sports Man Dan (Dan's alter ego)! The Orioles' season got off to a terrible start and by mid-May, it seemed like the writing was on the wall. Gunnar Henderson wasn't hitting much and with the loss of Santander in free agency, it was a real struggle for the offense in the early going! It wasn't much better on the pitching side, with Grayson Rodriguez going down injured early on in the season and Felix Bautista also ending the year on the injured list - the rotation really struggled in the early months of the season! Cue the return of Trevor Rogers to the rotation - who pitched to a 9-3 record with a 1.80 ERA down the stretch! With Rogers holding down the rotation, a lot of the Orioles did find some form towards the back end of the season with Henderson ending up with 17 HRs! With a youthful core coming to an end soon in Baltimore - what does 2026 have in store for the Orioles? Joining us on this episode is Sports Man Dan! So have a listen as review the Orioles' season and Dan lets us know what we have to look forward to in 2026 - Happy Listening!
