Midlife Reinvention: Are We Having Enough Fun?28 Oct 202600:13:36

When did having fun become something we save for after everything else is done?

Between career burnout, midlife responsibilities, and the endless to-do lists, I started wondering if we've forgotten how to make room for the good stuff. This week, I'm talking about little pleasures, big realizations, and my rather embarrassing relationship with The Young and the Restless. Hehe.

Plus, an invitation to join me November 12 for a girls' night with author Kristy Halvorsen to talk about her memoir, Perfect Unfolding. No finished book required!

Why High Achievers Burn Out and How to Break the Cycle with Erika Coleman21 Oct 202600:50:45

What happens when the very qualities that make you successful are the same ones burning you out?

Erika Coleman was a lifelong high achiever who believed that if she worked hard enough, pushed a little further, and gave everything she had, things would work out. Until they didn’t.

After navigating her mother’s terminal illness, the loss of her business, and a level of burnout so severe she could barely function, Erika found herself questioning everything she believed about success. So she went to Harvard to study stress, motivation, well-being, and high performance.

What she discovered changed everything: Sometimes burnout isn’t about doing something wrong. It’s about taking your greatest strengths too far.

In this episode of A Beautiful Fix, Erika and I unpack the hidden cost of overachieving, why giving your all isn’t necessarily giving your best, and how to pursue big dreams without sacrificing your health, relationships, or happiness.

We get into the early warning signs of burnout, the difference between healthy stress and harmful stress, and why your relationship with yourself might be the most important measure of success.

Erika also introduces her concept of Even Achieving, a healthier, more sustainable approach to ambition that doesn’t require you to stop dreaming big. And we explore her Human Design as a 1/3 Sacral Manifesting Generator, including why pivoting, trusting her gut, and learning through experience have played such important roles in her journey.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re carrying the world on your shoulders, struggling to slow down, or wondering why achieving more doesn’t necessarily make you feel better, this conversation is for you.

Calling All Fall Nerds! We Doing This?14 Oct 202600:10:19

Calling all my fall-loving, book-obsessed girlfriends. This one’s for you.

I’m recording this with a suitcase to pack and a plane to catch because my husband and I are heading to Colorado to celebrate 30 years of marriage. THIRTY. We’ve known each other for 40 years, and I genuinely have no idea how that happened.

But before I go, I have some things to tell you.

First, can we talk about fall? The sweaters, the bookstores, the crisp air, the excuse to stay home with a good book. I’m obsessed. And apparently, all this fall energy has me on a creative tear because I’ve been building something for you.

Introducing the A Beautiful Fix Bookshelf!

I’ve gathered the books my podcast guests have written and recommended into one curated library. It’s full of incredible reads, and I’ll keep adding to it with every new episode.

And speaking of books, we’re having a girls’ night in!

On November 12 at 7 PM Central, I’m hosting a free virtual book club with Kristy Halvorsen, author of Perfect Unfolding, a memoir about seven years of solo travel, unexpected adventures, and following the life that’s calling you.

Think cozy blankets, something warm to drink, and an evening hanging out with the author herself. Cameras on or off, book finished or unfinished. Come as you are.

In this episode:

  • Celebrating 30 years of marriage (and wondering where the time went)
  • Why fall will forever be my favorite season
  • My brand-new bookshelf of guest-recommended books
  • A free virtual book club with author Christy Halverson
  • A little reminder from Mother Nature about the beauty of letting go

Explore the A Beautiful Fix Bookshelf:

Save your spot for our free November 12 book club with Christy Halverson:

Grab your favorite sweater, find something good to read, and come nerd out with me.

Until next time, keep getting high on life, one beautiful fix at a time.

Do It Scared: How to Stop Letting Fear Decide Who You Become with Samantha Norman07 Oct 202600:42:24

What if fear isn’t a sign to stop, but an invitation to become who you were always meant to be?

In this episode of A Beautiful Fix, Tracy sits down with Samantha Norman, brand strategist and founder of Cradle to Grave Creative, for a conversation about fear, identity, starting over, and what happens when the life you thought you were supposed to want falls apart.

After losing her mom, her marriage, her home, and eventually a job she loved, Samantha found herself starting over and asking a question many of us eventually face: Who am I now?

Samantha shares what it took to stop living from fear, why courage doesn’t mean waiting until you’re no longer afraid, and how one simple question, “Why not?” helped her begin building a life on her own terms.

Tracy and Samantha also explore the difference between fear that warns us and fear that shows up when we’re expanding, why so many of us are more afraid of looking stupid than actually starting, and Samantha’s “Who Before What” philosophy. Before we figure out what to say, sell, build, or do next, we have to understand who we really are.

Plus, Tracy dives into Samantha’s Human Design as a 6/2 Sacral Manifesting Generator and the season of life she’s in now, one where she’s learning she doesn’t have to push, rush, or treat everything like an emergency.

In this episode:
• Doing it scared and learning to move with fear instead of letting it make your decisions
• Starting over when the life you built no longer fits
• The question “Why not?” and what it can reveal about the stories holding you back
• Fear versus intuition and recognizing when discomfort is actually growth
• Why authenticity matters in life, not just in business
• Samantha’s “Who Before What” approach to personal branding
• Why you may not be afraid to start, you may be afraid to look stupid
• Samantha’s 6/2 Sacral Manifesting Generator Human Design
• Slowing down, trusting yourself, and realizing not everything is an emergency

Connect with Samantha:
Find Samantha on Instagram at @SammiNormanFit. If you’d like to take her up on her offer of an intro call and 90-day action plan, just send her a DM and let her know you heard her on A Beautiful Fix.

If this conversation leaves you with one question, let it be this: What would you do if fear didn’t get to make the decision?

Why Surrendering and Letting Go Just Might Save Your Life30 Sep 202600:16:31

I have had three near death experiences in my life. Whitewater rapids in Ontario. A riptide as a toddler. A frozen glove on a ski lift with my father. And in every single one of them the only thing that saved me was surrender.

That is where today's episode begins.

This is the tenth and final principle in the Yamas and Niyamas series and it is called Ishvara Pranidhana. It translates as surrender, or devotion to something greater than yourself. And it is not about giving up. It is about releasing your grip on the outcome and trusting that life knows something you do not.

In this episode we get into what surrender actually looks like in everyday life, the difference between contraction and expansion and how to recognize which one you are in, why savasana at the end of yoga class is one of the most important practices there is, the three stories from my own life where letting go was the only way through, and what Deborah Adele writes in The Yamas and Niyamas about melting into the stream instead of fighting the current.

What If It’s Not a Coincidence? How to Trust Your Intuition with Psychic Medium Becca Francis23 Sep 202600:58:19

What if that feeling you keep brushing off isn’t just a coincidence?

This week, I’m sitting down with psychic medium and Human Design teacher Becca Francis for a fascinating conversation about intuition, self-trust, mediumship, Human Design and learning to listen to the inner knowing we so often dismiss.

Becca spent years in the corporate world feeling increasingly miserable and trying just about everything to find her way out. Then Human Design found her, and what started as curiosity eventually changed the trajectory of her life. It also helped create the space for another part of herself to emerge: the psychic and mediumistic abilities that had quietly been there all along.

We talk about how Becca learned to recognize and trust those abilities, what it actually feels like when she connects with spirit, the difference between psychic work and mediumship, and why she believes intuition is something we all have access to.

We also get into the difference between intuition and our own thoughts, why self-trust is so important, how to start noticing and documenting your own intuitive hits, and one simple question Becca uses with her students when they’re tempted to dismiss something as coincidence:

What if?

We also talk Human Design, including how it helped Becca leave a career that no longer felt right, what it means to be a 6/2 Emotional Generator, and why neither of us believes you need to memorize every gate, channel and detail to begin experiencing the wisdom of your design.

If you’ve ever had a feeling you couldn’t explain, known something before you had any logical reason to know it, wondered whether a loved one who has passed is still connected to you, or simply wanted to trust yourself a little more, this conversation is for you.

Know Yourself: The Ancient Practice That Changes How You See Everything16 Sep 202600:11:42

How well do you actually know yourself?

Not your preferences, your go-to coffee order, or the labels you can rattle off without thinking. The deeper version. The you that existed before the world started layering its expectations on top of you.

That is what today is about.

Svadhyaya is the fourth Niyama in the ancient yogic tradition and it translates as self study. In this episode we get into what self study actually means beyond hitting the books, the conditioning that starts in childhood and the boxes we live inside of without realizing it, the mirror experiment that reveals more about you than you might expect, the beginner's mind and why the older I get the less I feel I actually know, and the 99% principle that might be the most useful thing Deborah Adele shares in this entire chapter.

I also share something I have been sitting on for more than a year. Something for the woman who is ready to give herself an entire season of her own attention.

If you have been on a lifelong quest to understand yourself, this one was made for you.

What If Your Body Could Tell You Everything: A Live Energy Scan with Daniel Zavrel09 Sep 202601:02:56

What if your body already knew everything you needed to know about your health, your emotions, your stress, and your energy, and there was a technology that could read it?

That is exactly what happened in this episode.

Want to see the scan in real time? Watch the full episode on YouTube to see the screen shares as they happen. Video goes live today, September 9, 2026, at 2 PM CST at https://youtu.be/5aMz-kBxksw.

Daniel Zavrel is the founder of Consciouz, and for more than 35 years he has helped people better understand the patterns influencing their health, emotions, relationships, and daily lives. His work spans healthcare, coaching, elite sports, and global organizations, all guided by one belief: meaningful transformation begins with awareness.

In this episode Daniel performs a live conscious body and mind scan on me using biophoton technology originally developed at Stanford University, further refined for Russian cosmonauts, and now medically certified in Germany. And we experience the results together in real time.

What shows up surprises me. Lots of yellow suns signaling positive outlook despite my biggest stressor being my business. A heart scan described as beautiful with a lot of energy. A gallbladder showing suppressed frustration that needs release. A brain with enormous untapped potential. And a conversation about moving from things happening to me, to by me, to through me, that I am still thinking about.

This episode also covers the quantum principle of quantum entanglement, why your photo holds all of your energetic information, personalized nutrition recommendations, electromagnetic radiation and your brain, and what it means to live in your ikigai.

Can You Stand the Heat: What Tapas Taught Me About Self-Discipline and One Minute More02 Sep 202600:11:44

Have you ever been in a situation where you thought you could not hold on one more second? And what happened when you stayed?

That question is the whole episode.

Tapas is the third Niyama in the ancient yogic tradition and it literally means heat. The kind of heat that transforms you. Whether you practice yoga or have never stepped foot on a mat, this principle is going to apply to your life.

In this episode we get into what Tapas actually looks like in everyday life, from a deep stretch on a yoga mat to a twenty mile bike ride to the seasons of your life where you had no choice but to stay in the fire. We also get into what Deborah Adele writes in The Yamas and Niyamas about the controlled burn, the promise of a crisis, and what grows on the other side of the hardest seasons of your life.

Plus two invitations from Deborah's closing explorations, including the one minute more challenge that I think is going to stay with you long after this episode ends.

If you have been in the fire lately, or if you keep walking away from hard things before you get to the other side, this one is for you.

Botox, Fillers & Facelifts: What Works & When to Do Nothing with Facial Plastic Surgeon Dr. Michael Brandt26 Aug 202600:56:00

Facial plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Brandt joins Tracy for an honest, judgment-free conversation about Botox, fillers, facelifts, aesthetic medicine, and the decision to do nothing at all.

Dr. Brandt, founder of FORM Face + Body in Toronto, explains the differences between traditional, mini, and deep plane facelifts; what creates natural-looking results; and why choosing the right provider matters as much as choosing the right procedure. He also discusses Botox and other neuromodulators, how long facial fillers may remain in the body, nonsurgical rhinoplasty, lip filler, eyelid surgery, neck lifts, laser resurfacing, chemical peels, retinol, red light and infrared masks, and everyday ways to protect aging skin.

Tracy and Dr. Brandt also explore:

  • How to know whether an aesthetic procedure is right for you
  • Why a reputable provider may tell you to wait or do nothing
  • The risks and benefits of surgical and nonsurgical treatments
  • What women with melanated skin should know about lasers, chemical peels, scarring, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
  • Why fillers can sometimes create a pillowy or overfilled appearance
  • Whether Botox and cosmetic procedures can become addictive
  • What to consider when looking for natural-looking results
  • Why second opinions are important before a major procedure
  • How aesthetic medicine can support confidence without becoming a pursuit of perfection

Whether you are considering cosmetic work, firmly opposed to it, or simply curious about the options, this conversation is designed to help you make informed decisions from a place of knowledge rather than pressure or fear.

When It Rains, Let It Rain: How to Find Contentment When Life Doesn’t Go as Planned19 Aug 202600:18:03

What if contentment isn’t something you find when life finally goes according to plan, but something you can practice right in the middle of the mess?

After a powerful derecho tore through my neighborhood, we were left with flooded streets, fallen trees, no power, no WiFi and neighbors suddenly pouring out of their homes to help one another. Somewhere between clearing storm drains, laughing with my neighbor Sue in her red rain boots and watching complete strangers show up for each other, I realized I was experiencing something I’d recently been studying in yoga philosophy: Santosha, the practice of contentment.

In this solo episode of A Beautiful Fix, we explore what Santosha can teach us about finding contentment when life doesn’t go as planned, practicing gratitude for what’s already here and letting go of our constant need for life to be different before we allow ourselves to enjoy it.

Because maybe contentment isn’t about pretending everything is perfect. Maybe it’s learning to stop looking over the fence, stop waiting for the next thing and fall in love with the life that’s actually happening right now.

And sometimes, when it rains, you just let it rain.

She Left Everything Behind: 7 Years of Solo Travel | Kristy Halvorsen, Author of Perfect Unfolding12 Aug 202600:57:40

What happens when you leave behind the life you’re supposed to want and start following what actually makes you feel alive?

After 14 years as a firefighter and paramedic, Kristy Halvorsen walked away from her career, sold her home and most of her belongings, and set out alone in an Airstream. What began as a leap into the unknown became seven years of solo travel across North America and ultimately inspired her book, Perfect Unfolding.

In this episode of A Beautiful Fix, Kristy shares what she learned about trusting yourself when you don’t know what comes next, overcoming fear, embracing uncertainty, and following what she calls the “tickles of your soul.” We talk about the extraordinary kindness of strangers, finding freedom outside of society’s expectations, falling in love with life, and why you don’t need to sell everything or travel across a continent to begin changing your own life.

We also explore Kristy’s Human Design as a 1/3 Emotional Generator with an open Identity Center and how beautifully it reflects a life built through experimentation, experience, and the willingness to let identity evolve.

If you’ve ever wondered whether there could be more for you, or felt the pull toward a life that doesn’t quite make logical sense, this conversation is an invitation to trust the next step. You don’t have to know where it will lead.

Leave Yourself Alone05 Aug 202600:13:40

Have you ever spent more energy avoiding something than it would have actually taken to just do it?

This week I finally recorded my first yoga teacher certification video. Six months late. Fifteen minutes of footage nobody will ever see. One husband who said two words. And one hour that actually counted.

What happened in the middle of all of that led me straight to Saucha, the first Niyama in the ancient yogic tradition, and it had something very specific to say about what I had been doing to myself.

Saucha means purity. But not the kind you are thinking. This episode gets into what purity actually looks like in everyday life, the energy that moves through us in moments of unexpected beauty, the beginner's mind, and three words from Anthony de Mello that I am still sitting with.

Leave yourself alone.

If you have been managing yourself, judging yourself, or making something simple into a whole production, this one is for you.

I Had It All and Then I Didn't: Dr. Susan Miele on Identity, Menopause, and Beginning Again29 Jul 202600:47:04

What happens when everything you built your identity around disappears in less than a year?

Dr. Susan Miele was a Chief People Officer at a Fortune 500 company. She reached the C suite before 40, which had been her goal since she was a teenager. Her career was not just what she did. It was who she was. Then at 42, undiagnosed perimenopause began dismantling everything. Her performance. Her marriage. Her sense of self. She resigned without a plan, downsized her life, and then watched her new home burn to the ground twelve days after moving in.

In less than twelve months she lost her career, her health, and her home.

What followed was not a reinvention. It was a pause. And that pause became the foundation for her book, Paused: Redefining Identity When Our Story No Longer Holds Us.

In this conversation we get into the story she wrote for herself at fourteen and lived into for decades, what perimenopause really looks like when it does not look like what anyone told you to expect, why she spent seven years trying to get back to who she was before she realized there was no going back, the three questions that anchor identity, who am I, how did I get here, and where am I going, what it means to try on possible selves like clothes in a dressing room, and why the struggle is the path.

This episode also touches on menopause in the workplace and why less than twenty percent of US companies currently offer any menopausal benefits, even as fifty percent of their workforce will experience it.

If you have ever defined yourself by what you do and wondered who you would be without it, this conversation is for you.

What We Try to Possess Possesses Us.22 Jul 202600:11:47

There is a grand piano in your life that you keep trying to carry to the dining room.

Maybe it is a career you walked away from but still dream about. Maybe it is clothes hanging in your closet from a chapter that is already closed. Maybe it is a story about who you are that you wrote a long time ago and have not been able to put down.

In this episode we get into Aparigraha, the fifth and final Yama from the ancient yogic tradition, and what non attachment actually looks like in real life. Drawing on Deborah Adele's book The Yamas and Niyamas, we explore the difference between loving something fully and clinging to it, why letting go feels like being suspended in midair on a trapeze, and what a teenager with no plans for packing taught one of the wisest women I know about freedom.

Plus a brief tease of next week's guest, who held on to a story she created at age fourteen for decades, and what it cost her.

If you have ever thought you let go of something only to find it still showing up in your dreams, this one is for you.

Walking the Camino: What is it and why is everyone doing it? (with Karen Richter)15 Jul 202600:57:05

Have you been hearing about the Camino de Santiago and wondering what it actually is and why so many people seem drawn to walk it?

Karen Richter of Confident by Nature walked the most popular route across northern Spain. Six weeks. Roughly 500 miles. Almost no reservations. Everything on her back. Most of it alone.

What she came home with was not what she expected.

In this conversation we get into what the Camino actually is, what drew Karen there, and what happens to a person when they spend six weeks putting one foot in front of the other with nowhere to be and no one who knows them.

Non Excess: How to Stop Burning Your Energy on Things That Do Not Make You Come Alive08 Jul 202600:11:41

I am an Olympic level overthinker. If there were a medal for it I would have swept the podium by now.

This Fourth of July I applied that skill to a single rib. Seven year vegetarian streak on the line. Barbecue sauce involved. The rib never got eaten. But it did teach me something about where my energy actually goes and why it matters.

Today we are talking about Brahmacharya, the fourth Yama in the ancient yogic tradition, and what non excess actually looks like in everyday life. Not just with food. With your time, your mental energy, your busyness, and the decisions you have been running laps around for no good reason.

Drawing on Deborah Adele's book The Yamas and Niyamas and a quote from Howard Thurman, this episode is an invitation to stop spending your energy on things that do not make you come alive so you actually have enough left for the things that do.

You Do Not Have to Choose: Kim Waller on Having the Career and the Life01 Jul 202600:48:49

What if you never had to choose between the career you built and the life you actually want?

Kim Waller spent more than three decades at the highest levels of corporate America, holding senior leadership roles at Aon, Willis Towers Watson, and Korn Ferry, helping organizations navigate transformation, inclusion, and culture change. And somewhere in the middle of all of that, she also built a lake house she calls the House of Healing, deepened a yoga practice that has sustained her through divorce, career pivots, and personal reinvention, and became a yoga teacher whose classes fill up every single week.

In this conversation we get into what it really means to own your power, why self care is not a luxury but a leadership strategy, the role yoga and mindfulness played in keeping Kim grounded through decades of high pressure leadership, her thoughts on inclusion and why diversity drives high performance, what retirement actually looks like when you have been quietly building a full life all along, and why the most important thing you can do is trust that you have what you need.

This is one of those conversations that makes you want to rethink how you have been spending your energy.

Four Ways You Are Stealing Your Own Peace Without Knowing It24 Jun 202600:15:47

I have a story I tell sometimes that gets the same reaction every single time. People ask me if I am crazy. It involves a $75 shirt, a register total that did not add up, and a decision that, looking back, taught me more about honesty than almost anything else in my life.

Asteya, the third Yama in the Yoga Sutras, is what got me thinking about that story and it completely changed how I define stealing.

Turns out there are four different ways we steal without realizing it, and most of them have nothing to do with a cash register. This episode gets into all four, drawing on Deborah Adele's book The Yamas and Niyamas, including the one that might be stealing your own peace right now.

Real Girls Guide to Midlife: Author Angela Burk on Rewriting the Rules After 5017 Jun 202600:49:31

Angela Burk spent years being the good girl. The rule follower. The one who showed up exactly the way everyone expected. Then her forties hit and everything she thought she knew got rewritten all at once. A difficult divorce. A career leap into a pre-IPO startup with no safety net. Menopause she did not see coming until she was already in it. And somewhere in the middle of all of it, falling for a man who lives in Australia while she lives in California.

Angela is the founder of Real Girls Guide to Midlife and author of the book by the same name. In this conversation she opens up about the rulebook she spent decades following without ever questioning where it came from, the moment she realized the best parts of herself had gone missing, and what it took to burn that rulebook down and build a version of her life that actually belongs to her.

We get into self possession, the stories we let define us at work and at home, why no is a complete sentence, and the simple practice of saying out loud what you need even when no one else is listening. Angela also shares how her sons are responding to the woman she has become and why she has almost no regrets about any of it.

Plus Angela is giving away three copies of her book to three lucky listeners. Details on how to enter are in this episode.

If you are in the middle of your own midlife rewrite, or you think you might be circling one, this conversation is for you.

Stop Editing Yourself10 Jun 202600:11:18

Are you a good blender? Not the kitchen kind. The kind where you walk into a room and immediately start editing yourself down to something safer, smaller, and easier for everyone else to digest. In this episode we get into Satya, the second of the ancient yogic principles called the Yamas, and what truthfulness actually means when you apply it to yourself. Spoiler: it has nothing to do with being brutally honest with other people and everything to do with stopping the performance you have been giving your whole life. Can Sex Actually Get Better With Age? with Susan Bratton03 Jun 202600:50:02

What if we’ve been given the wrong story about aging?

In this episode of A Beautiful Fix, Tracy sits down with intimacy expert Susan Bratton for a candid conversation about desire, connection, pleasure, and why some things actually do get better with age.

Susan shares her own journey from Silicon Valley executive to one of the world’s leading voices on intimacy and sexual wellness. Together, they explore why so many women disconnect from this part of themselves, the difference between sex and intimacy, how pleasure impacts confidence and vitality, and why intimacy can be viewed as a skill set that continues to grow throughout life.

This conversation isn’t just about sex. It’s about possibility. It’s about self-trust. It’s about questioning the idea that certain parts of life have an expiration date.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • Why intimacy and pleasure don’t have to decline with age
  • The difference between sex, connection, and orgasmic intimacy
  • How cultural conditioning shapes the way women think about desire
  • Why pleasure, confidence, and vitality are more connected than we realize
  • The role communication plays in creating deeper intimacy
  • Why many women are told the wrong story about aging
  • Susan’s concept of the Upward Pleasure Spiral and how intimacy can continue to evolve throughout life
  • What becomes possible when women stop assuming the best part is behind them

Whether you’re curious about intimacy, navigating midlife, looking to deepen connection in your relationship, or simply interested in what it means to feel more alive, this conversation will give you plenty to think about.

Embrace the Suck13 May 202600:11:15

Some seasons just suck. And if you are in one right now, this episode is for you.

In this solo episode you are going to hear the story of Deanna, a woman who turned her husband's eight hour chemotherapy sessions into weekly picnic adventures, complete with a pretend flight to Italy, first class and coach included. Her story is going to change how you think about hard things.

You are also going to learn why resisting the hard stuff makes it harder, what Buddhism and yogic philosophy have taught for thousands of years about suffering and attachment, and where the phrase embrace the suck actually came from.

By the time this episode is over you will have a new framework for the hard seasons, a permission slip to stop labeling things as good or bad, and one practical question to ask yourself the next time life gets heavy.

This one is for the woman in the middle of something hard who needs a reminder that getting through it is its own kind of beautiful.

The Conversation Women Aren’t Having About Intimacy with Elana Auerbach06 May 202600:47:38

What happens when women reconnect to themselves?

In this episode, I’m joined by Elana Auerbach for a conversation about intimacy, pleasure, self-trust, embodiment, and why so many women feel disconnected from this part of themselves in the first place.

This episode is about connection. To your body. To your desires. To your nervous system. To the parts of yourself you may have stopped listening to somewhere along the way.

Elana shares her deeply personal story of stepping off what she calls “the conveyor belt of life,” leaving a marriage that looked good on paper but didn’t feel aligned in her body, and eventually creating a weekly “pleasure practice” with her husband that completely transformed their intimacy and relationship.

We talk about:

  • why intimacy can feel uncomfortable or vulnerable
  • what happens when women disconnect from their bodies
  • pleasure and nervous system regulation
  • trusting your body’s signals
  • the power of slowing down
  • feminine energy, embodiment, and self-acceptance
  • why intimacy is something we practice, not just something that happens

Elana is the creator of the Sure Thing LOVE Experiment and author of The Sure Thing: A Pleasure Practice to Revive the Spark.

Mr. No Almost Won: What I Found When I Stopped Listening to the Voice in My Head29 Apr 202600:24:35

What would you do if the voice in your head talked you out of one of the most important moments of your life? In this episode I am taking you on a road trip to rural Tennessee — to a 1,400 acre spiritual retreat founded by world-renowned yogi Sadhguru, and to the back roads where my grandfather's land sits quiet and waiting. Two destinations. Two completely different kinds of humbling. And one voice I call Mr. No who almost made sure neither one happened. This is a story about fear, curiosity, ancestral connection, and what becomes possible when you stop listening to the chatter in your mind and go back anyway. If you have been waiting for a sign to explore something new, visit somewhere that is calling you, or simply be a beginner again — this one is for you.

Human Design Session with Emma Dunwoody: How We Get in Our Own Way22 Apr 202600:45:07

There’s a difference between knowing what to do… and actually trusting yourself enough to do it.

In this episode, I’m sharing a conversation that originally aired on The Human Design Podcast, where Emma Dunwoody takes me through a live Human Design session.

And let’s just say… it got real.

We talk a lot about self-trust, listening to your body, and finding your own answers. But in this conversation, I had to face where I was still getting in my own way—overthinking, second-guessing, and looking outside myself for validation.

Together, we unpack what was actually keeping me stuck… and chances are, you’ll recognize yourself in it too.

In this episode, we explore:

  • Human Design and how it reveals your unique decision-making style
  • Emotional authority and why timing matters more than you think
  • The real reason you keep second-guessing yourself
  • Overthinking, self-doubt, and the “stories” that keep you stuck
  • Why we teach what we need to learn—and how to start living it

If you’ve ever felt stuck in your head, unsure of your next move, or disconnected from your own inner guidance, this conversation will hit in all the right ways.

This episode originally aired on The Human Design Podcast and is shared here with permission. Be sure to check out the original episode and more of Emma’s work on her podcast.

The Train Doesn’t Stop: The Unexpected Gift of Loss15 Apr 202600:07:04

I’ve been saying goodbye a lot lately…

And it’s made me think about how fast life moves, how little control we actually have over time, and how much of our energy we spend worrying about things that don’t matter.

In this solo episode, I’m sharing some personal reflections on loss, grief, and the perspective that comes from experiencing more goodbyes than you expected. This isn’t a heavy episode. It’s actually a reminder. A powerful one.

Because when you really sit with it…

life becomes a little clearer.

We talk about:

  • The reality of loss and how it shifts your perspective
  • Why time feels like it’s speeding up (and what to do with that awareness)
  • Letting go of the small things that don’t matter
  • What truly matters at the end of life
  • How to live more intentionally and fully right now

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, caught up in the day-to-day, or stuck in things that don’t feel important… this episode might bring you back to what actually is.

And this week’s invitation:

If the train keeps moving no matter what…

what do you want to do with the time you have?

This Might Not Be a You Problem (It’s Your Nervous System) with Lori Montry08 Apr 202601:03:26

If you’ve ever felt stuck in the same patterns…

overthinking, self-sabotage, burnout, or wondering why change feels so hard…

this might not be a you problem.

In this episode, I sit down with somatic healing practitioner Lori Montry to talk about something that’s changing the way more and more women understand themselves… the nervous system.

Because if your body is operating in survival mode, no amount of mindset work, discipline, or “trying harder” is going to create lasting change.

Lori breaks down what it really means to work with your nervous system, how patterns are formed, and why the behaviors you’ve been judging yourself for might actually be intelligent survival responses.

We also talk about her Freedom Formula, a nervous system-based approach to creating sustainable change by focusing on safety, capacity, and energy first.

This conversation will help you see yourself differently… with more compassion, more clarity, and a deeper understanding of what’s actually going on beneath the surface.

In this episode, we talk about:

• Why nervous system regulation matters more than mindset

• What somatic healing actually is (and why it’s gaining so much attention)

• How your body stores experiences and shapes your behavior

• The difference between your Adaptive Self and Expansive Self

• Why “fixing yourself” doesn’t work and what to do instead

• The foundation needed for real, lasting change

• How to start building a relationship with your body

Why Being Sensitive Is A Superpower (Inspired by My Conversation with Karen Blaine)01 Apr 202600:09:28

For years, I was told I needed to toughen up.

I felt everything. Every shift in a room, every unspoken word, every emotion. And somewhere along the way, I learned that was “too much.”

In this solo episode, I’m sharing a powerful conversation I had with Karen Blaine, a retired hypnotherapist and author who works with empaths and highly sensitive women. Due to audio issues, I wasn’t able to release the full interview, but the message was too important not to share.

We talk about what it really means to be sensitive in today’s world, why empathy isn’t a weakness, and how your ability to feel deeply is actually a form of awareness, not something to fix.

If you’ve ever been told you’re too sensitive… if you pick up on energy, emotions, and what’s not being said… this conversation will hit home.

We also explore how this shows up through the lens of Human Design, including Reflectors and undefined solar plexus centers, and why what you feel in your body is valuable information you’re meant to trust.

In This Episode:

  • What it really means to be an empath or highly sensitive person
  • Why sensitivity and emotional awareness are not weaknesses
  • How to trust what you feel (instead of overriding it)
  • The role of empathy in today’s world
  • Human Design insights: Reflectors & undefined solar plexus
  • Learning how to feel without carrying everything

Waiting for Permission to Live Your Life?18 Mar 202600:10:35

What if the only thing standing between you and the life you want… is the permission you’re waiting for?

In this solo episode of A Beautiful Fix, Tracy explores a pattern so many women fall into without even realizing it. Waiting for the right time. Waiting for clarity. Waiting for someone else to confirm what they already feel inside.

From small everyday decisions to bigger life shifts, it’s easy to look outside ourselves for answers. But what happens when no one gives you the permission you’ve been waiting for?

This episode is a real, honest conversation about self-trust, decision-making, and the subtle ways we outsource our power to external validation, expectations, and opinions.

Tracy shares how this shows up in her own life, why it’s so common for women to second guess themselves, and how self-trust is actually built through small, consistent choices.

She also introduces the concept of Human Design as a tool for understanding your unique decision-making style, helping you reconnect with your inner authority and trust the answers within.

In this episode, we explore:

• Why so many women wait for permission before making changes

• How external validation keeps you stuck and second guessing yourself

• The hidden ways you may be outsourcing your power

• How self-trust is built in everyday decisions

• Understanding your Human Design authority and inner guidance

• What shifts when you stop waiting and start choosing

If you’ve been feeling stuck, overthinking your next move, or looking for clarity outside of yourself, this episode will help you reconnect with what you already know.

Because the truth is… no one is coming.

And maybe that’s the permission you’ve been waiting for.

How High-Achieving Women Can Create a Fulfilling Career Without Burning Out with Carrie Fabris11 Mar 202601:00:37

What if the problem isn’t your job… but how you’re approaching it?

In this episode of A Beautiful Fix, Tracy sits down with leadership coach, speaker, and author Carrie Fabris to talk about how high-achieving women can build a fulfilling career without burning out trying to do it all.

After two decades in leadership roles at companies like Google, Travelocity, and Sabre, Carrie reached a turning point. One afternoon while pushing her daughter on a swing, she asked herself a powerful question: “If I could do absolutely anything, what would it be?”

That moment sparked a reinvention that led her to launch CareerFrame, where she now helps leaders and organizations redefine success through energy, alignment, and sustainable leadership.

In this conversation, Tracy and Carrie explore why so many women feel pressure to “do it all,” and why managing your energy may matter far more than managing your time.

Carrie shares practical tools and mindset shifts including:

• Why success without energy alignment leads to burnout

• The difference between managing time vs. managing energy

• Her Return on Energy (ROE) concept

• The VIBE Checklist, a framework for evaluating where your energy goes

• Why putting yourself first isn’t selfish, it’s necessary

• How emotional intelligence shapes leadership and decision-making

Carrie also shares insights from her book ALL IN: A Working Mom’s Unapologetic Quest for a Juicy Life, where she explores how women can pursue ambitious careers while creating lives filled with energy, purpose, and joy.

I Paid a Coach to Tell Me Who I Was… She Read Me a Poem Instead04 Mar 202600:17:26

Years ago, I paid a career coach a lot of money to tell me who I was.

I showed up ready for answers about my career and my life.

Instead… she read me a poem.

At the time I didn’t fully understand why. But years later those words landed in a completely different way, and they’ve shaped how I see my life and the work I do today.

In this episode, I’m sharing that story, the poem that stayed with me for years, and why learning to trust the wisdom within might be the most powerful thing we can do.

In this episode of A Beautiful Fix, I’m joined by Kim Costa, founder of Lifestyle Foundations and author of Live in Your Wheelhouse, for a powerful conversation about alignment, environment, and the way our homes reflect who we’re becoming.

We talk about what it really means to live “in your wheelhouse” — not just in your career, but in your physical space, your relationships, your lifestyle, and your energy. Kim shares how she went from living out of alignment as an accountant on a remote farm to redesigning her life and career around authenticity, creativity, and connection.

We explore:

  • How your home can either support or drain your energy
  • The connection between your nervous system and your environment
  • The Wheel of Life framework and identifying your biggest pain points
  • When to stay, renovate, or move
  • The emotional power of decluttering
  • How multi-generational living is becoming a rising trend

Maybe There’s More to You Than You Realized18 Feb 202600:14:09

Have you ever pulled your Human Design chart and thought… this doesn’t feel like me? That was me.

In this solo episode, I’m finally sharing how learning I was a Generator didn’t resonate at first — and what shifted when I actually understood what it meant.

This isn’t a technical breakdown. It’s a real conversation about energy, frustration, self-trust, and what changed when I stopped fighting how I’m wired and started experimenting with it instead.

We talk about:

• What Generator energy actually means in real life

• Why frustration is information

• The power of responding instead of chasing

• Micro-choices you can make when life doesn’t feel aligned

• Why this matters even if you’re not a Generator

Over 70% of the population are Generators or Manifesting Generators. Even if that’s not you, someone you love is. Understanding energy changes how you move, how you work, and how you relate.

If you’ve ever wondered whether there’s something about you that you’re overlooking, this one’s for you.

What does real strength look like when life knocks you down?

In this powerful conversation, Tracy sits down with Pam Sandrock to talk about resilience, identity, and what it truly means to rise after hardship. After navigating a cancer diagnosis and life-altering decisions, Pam shares how acceptance, self-trust, and honoring your truth can become the foundation for healing and growth.

Together, they explore what it means to be “knocked down, not knocked out,” why midlife is not a crisis but a turning point, and how letting go of obligation and “shoulds” creates space for clarity, peace, and alignment. Pam reflects on redefining strength, embracing both weakness and resilience, and trusting that there is always something on the other side of the hardest seasons.

This episode is for anyone who feels down, stuck, or overwhelmed by change and needs a reminder that even when life disrupts everything, there is still more life to be lived, more joy to be found, and more truth waiting to emerge.

  • What “knocked down, not knocked out” really means in hard seasons
  • Healing, resilience, and acceptance after cancer
  • Letting go of guilt, obligation, and the pressure to be everything
  • Why midlife is a moment of curiosity, not crisis

How to Design a Life You Love with Human Design & Healing Tools with Lyndsey Kampen28 Jan 202600:45:40

On this episode of A Beautiful Fix, Tracy Hill sits down with Lyndsey Kampen, founder of Design the Life You Love with Lenz, for a conversation about Human Design, nervous system healing, and learning to live in alignment with your own energy. Lyndsey shares her journey from hustle and burnout in design and corporate work to building a life and business rooted in intuition, presence, and energetic alignment. They explore how understanding your Human Design type, especially as a manifesting generator, can provide clarity and relief, helping you embrace your natural rhythms instead of resisting them. We also dive into tools that support nervous system regulation such as meditation, walking in nature, journaling, breathwork, and sound healing with chakra‑aligned bowls, plus how unlearning people‑pleasing and rewiring ambition can reduce burnout. This episode is perfect for listeners interested in personal development, energy psychology, mindful living, intentional business design, and practical ways to stop living on autopilot and start designing a life you actually love.

Connect with Lyndsey Kampen and Design the Life You Love with Lenz to explore Human Design, alignment coaching, and sound healing tools that support energetic well‑being.

What Will You Do With Your One Wild and Precious Life?21 Jan 202600:12:54

What Will You Do With Your One Wild and Precious Life?

In this solo episode of A Beautiful Fix, Tracy Hill explores a powerful question that gets at the heart of purpose, self‑prioritization, and intentional living. Inspired by a line from poet Mary Oliver — “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” — Tracy reflects on what it truly means to choose yourself, face the fear of judgment, and live with more authenticity in 2026 and beyond. Building on her 2026 theme of bringing selfish back and letting go of other people’s opinions, Tracy breaks down this quote and offers gentle encouragement to rethink success, reclaim personal agency, and create a life that feels meaningful. This episode is perfect for listeners interested in intentional living, self‑care and self‑prioritization, overcoming fear of others’ opinions, and discovering purpose in everyday choices.

Bringing Selfish Back: A Different Way to Start the New Year07 Jan 202600:11:47

I didn’t wake up on January 1st as a fully transformed version of myself. No perfect plan. No mapped-out year. No “new year, new me” energy. Instead, I felt tired, a little behind, and honestly ready to stop making myself wrong for choosing my own rhythm.

In this first solo episode of 2026, I’m sharing a more honest way to begin the year. One that honors seasonal energy, personal pace, and the quiet wisdom of slowing down instead of forcing forward momentum.

We talk about:

  • Letting go of New Year pressure and unrealistic expectations
  • Choosing peace, slow, and calm instead of productivity and hustle
  • What it really looks like to listen to yourself without guilt
  • Why being “selfless” has been glorified at the expense of women’s well-being
  • Reclaiming the word selfish in a grounded, responsible, self-trusting way

This episode introduces a theme I’m leaning into deeply this year: bringing selfish back. Not the reckless kind. The honest kind. The kind where you stop overriding your body, intuition, and truth just to keep everyone else comfortable.

If you’re feeling tired of performing, tired of pressure, or tired of postponing yourself, this conversation is an invitation to do less on purpose and start the year in a way that actually feels good.

Is Hidden Shame Running the Show Behind the Scenes?31 Dec 202501:13:54

Is Hidden Shame Running the Show Behind the Scenes?

Shame doesn’t always show up as shame. Sometimes it disguises itself as overthinking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or playing small. In this powerful panel conversation hosted by Dana Fradella, I sat down with a group of brilliant women to talk about the many faces of shame — the conscious, the unconscious, and the ones we didn’t know we were still carrying.

We talked about what it really means to release shame, how it lingers in the body, and why remembering your worth isn’t just a mindset shift — it’s a whole-body experience.

Spoiler: I shared things I didn’t plan to share. Dana has a way of drawing that out of you.

If you’ve ever said, “I don’t really struggle with shame,” this might be the exact episode for you.

PS — If you’ve been thinking about booking a 1:1 Human Design session, now’s the time. Prices go up in January. Let’s start the year with clarity you can feel.

Is Anyone Else Using This Life Cheat Code? Just Me?10 Dec 202500:11:30

This one’s either going to blow your mind… or make you roll your eyes and say, “Tracy, we’ve been doing that forever.”

Either way, I’m sharing one of my favorite low-effort hacks that’s made weeknight dinner feel way less annoying. It’s not a recipe. It’s not a meal plan. It’s just me, ChatGPT, and a whole lot less stress.

You don’t have to be a kitchen person to try this. Just someone who’s hungry and tired of asking, “What should I make tonight?”

Let me know if this was genius… or embarrassingly late to the party.

Why Slowing Down and Romanticizing Life Turns Your Days into Art Instead of Errands (with Khinya Wade)03 Dec 202501:01:41

Why Slowing Down and Romanticizing Life Turns Your Days into Art Instead of Errands (with Khinya Wade)

What if the answer to burnout, overwhelm, and the constant grind… was to slow down? Not a little. A lot.

In this soul-soothing episode of A Beautiful Fix, Tracy sits down with Khinya Wade—founder of Kirinyaga Wellness, intentional living guide, and creator of one of the most romantic, earth-rooted lifestyles we’ve ever seen. From cooking in a wood-fired clay oven in her outdoor Earth Kitchen to healing through ancestral rituals, Khinya shares what it means to truly build a life around beauty, ritual, and presence.

They talk about the power of slow living, how convenience can rob us of joy, and why daily moments—like candlelit dinners and homemade strawberry jam—are sacred acts of reclamation. You’ll hear how Khinya built Kirinyaga Wellness as a healing space, the way she navigates life transitions with grace, and what it really means to romanticize your life (starting with the ordinary).

You’ll walk away with a renewed desire to turn your days into art—not just errands.

Topics we explore:

  • The healing power of slow living & romanticizing your everyday routines
  • How to reconnect with your body, nervous system, and ancestral wisdom
  • Creating a life rooted in presence instead of pressure
  • The Earth Kitchen, wildflowers, strawberry jam & other acts of ritual beauty
  • Why slowing down brings more clarity than any to-do list ever could

Why Every Woman Needs a Retreat: What I Found (and Faced) in the Middle of Nowhere26 Nov 202500:19:41

Amish country. Snowstorm. Midnight hot tubbing. That’s how this retreat started—and somehow, it turned into one of the most important resets I’ve had all year.

In this solo episode, I’m pulling back the curtain on my recent retreat experience: the misadventures getting there, the big (and small) realizations that hit me once I arrived, and why I’m officially convinced everyone needs to book a retreat for themselves in 2026—or whenever you’re ready.

You’ll hear what really happens when you give yourself time to get quiet, tune in, and choose yourself without guilt. Spoiler: it’s not all face masks and journaling. It’s bigger than that.

I’m also celebrating a major milestone—A Beautiful Fix just passed 5,000 downloads and is streaming in 50 countries and over 575 cities—and it’s all because of you.

So grab your earbuds, let’s talk gratitude, selfishness (in the best way), and what it means to make space for something new. Even if it includes questionable GPS decisions and 33° hot tubs.
