Paramedicine offers an exciting and challenging career within the Emergency Medical Services field.  Paramedics are vital members of the quick-response healthcare team, providing an advanced level of care in the pre-hospital environment under the direction of a physician.  Paramedics prioritize patient needs and perform patient assessment, providing advanced life support in situations where trauma, respiratory, diabetic, behavioral, cardiac, allergic, poisoning, and childbirth emergencies might exist.

The Dental Assisting curriculum at Chattahoochee Tech prepares individuals to assist the dentist in the delivery of dental treatment and to function as an integral member of the dental team while performing chair-side and laboratory procedures as well as related office tasks. Dental Assistants work alongside dentists, hygienists, and patients delivering a multitude of healthcare services.

Dental Assisting occupational courses will be completed in three (3) semesters.

The goal of the Paralegal Studies Program is to train students in legal theory, analytical, communication and adaptation of skills. Paralegals shall not engage in the unauthorized practice of law as proscribed by the Official Code of Georgia, 15-19-51 and must work under the supervision and direction of an attorney in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia.

Surgical Technologists play a key role, under medical supervision, in a variety of surgical settings, ensuring that each surgery runs safely, effectively, and hygienically. A clinical rotation at a hospital is a vital part of the Surgical Technology students’ educational experience.  Surgical Technology graduates are eligible to sit for the national certification examination.

Surgical Technology occupational courses will be completed in three (3) semesters.

Physical Therapist Assistants provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Employing the knowledge of the patient’s condition, the PTA performs hands-on treatments utilizing therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, pain relieving modalities and other functional activities. A PTA must use critical thinking and problem solving skills on a daily basis to treat a variety of patients of all ages and cultural backgrounds.

Physical Therapist Assistant occupational courses will be completed in four (4) semesters.

Occupational Therapy Assistants work under the direction of occupational therapists to help rehabilitate patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities through the therapeutic use of everyday activities (occupations). They help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working. Common occupational therapy interventions include helping children with disabilities to participate fully in school and social situations, helping people who are recovering from injuries to regain necessary skills, and providing support for older adults who are experiencing physical or cognitive changes.

Occupational Therapy Assistant occupational courses will be completed in four and a half (4.5) semesters. Curriculum is delivered in a combination of face-to-face and distance learning formats.

Learn the fundamentals about brewing and fermentation with coursework in production, operations, safety and sanitation, advanced brewing, brewery software, and associated process technologies. Students will learn about brewing and fermentation in a 3-BBL brew lab on our North Metro campus. Students must be at least 21 years of age to enroll in this program.

Program graduates receive a carpentry diploma and have the qualifications of an entry-level residential carpenter or entry-level commercial carpenter.

The Automotive Technology associate of applied science degree program is a sequence of courses designed to prepare students for careers in the automotive service and repair profession. Learning opportunities develop academic, technical, and professional knowledge and skills required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. The program emphasizes a combination of automotive mechanics theory and practical application necessary for successful employment. Program graduates receive an Automotive Technology Associate of Applied Science degree, which qualifies them as entry level automotive technicians.
