So it's been exactly one week since the last one and we're glad to be doing our next installment, good to see you!

It's been six months, but after a move, a trip, and some serious World Cup coverage we are officially back. The World Cup happened, the Premier League has happened, and Ronaldo to Saudi Arabia has happened, but the real question is whether Football Manager 2023 can be considered progress.

We are back and we are ready to talk through just about everything. Massive transfers have happened, I went to an F1 race, Ben dropped a YouTube bombshell, so there is plenty to keep us busy and eventually find a good 20 minutes in there somewhere.

20 good minutes is back and the Premier League relegation battle is heating up just in time for us to talk about it. Who is it going to be? Burnley? Everton? Leeds? Or is the real relegation the friends we made along the way.

The FM Streamer Showdown has come to pass and Doctorbenjy would rather forget it. At least he would rather forget his performance because the event as a whole that Ben put on was fantastic. Zealand should know, he got all the way to the final. We decompress for a jam-packed weekend of Football Manager fun.

The Streamer Showdown happened last weekend and our two fortunes were SLIGHTLY different. Zealand won, and Ben? Well, it wasn't great. We break down the whole Streamer Showdown (it's an FM tournament, by the way) and how it all works behind the scenes. Doctorbenjy does run it, so he has some valuable insights.

We do our monthly whip around of every major league in Europe and guess what? They are all bad. Do you know what isn't bad? Our reviews! Thank you all for that. Ben had a really great time giving them a read-through on this podcast and they're incredibly insightful.

Doctorbenjy is the leader of the streamer showdown and that sometimes means he has to make tough decisions in order to spice things up. Well, Ben made a rather controversial decision about the showdown this weekend that has the internet world up at arms, was it the right one? Also, who is going to win?

With Newcastle getting a massive injection of cash, it raises the question, is there room for another top team in the Premier League? Is it possible to do what Man City did before Financial Fair Play and climb to the top of the league? If so, who makes room? Can I come up with another question for this description?

After a snafu that ruined our perfect podcast recording, we sat down later in the week to talk Christmas traditions from one side of the pond to the other. Shockingly, Ben is shocked at how different Christmas is in the United States. He is also dealing with the daily aspects of being a dad that has nearly broken his ankle.

Ben's pop music knowledge comes into question as we take stock of the premier league and one of its former superstars fall from grace. There is also the small question of mid-season international tournaments that may or may not decide the title race.

Zealand and Ben decide for all time how World Cup Qualifying should be done (recorded before the Portugal/Italy draw that shook the world and made our point anymore). It's not just Europe either, because something wild is brewing in CONCACAF.

Zealand has found himself in a pile of controversy on YouTube for the first time, fortunately, Ben is there to talk him through it. Ben is also still battling through illness. It's a difficult illness to shake, it's called being a parent. He's actually sick too but the two issues seem to be connected. Conte is also on the job, so have no fear.

Both of us moved to new (and better) locations and the show is back on the weekly schedule! Thus, we this new chapter with a bang talking about the mighty Moldovan side in the Champions League and obscure world cup qualifying.

Round two of the Euros has come to a close with the deciding group stage games all that are left to cut the European Championship down to its final 16 teams. England struggled to put away its northern neighbor, which to many was the highlighted match of the round, but there was plenty of other drama to keep us busy as teams jockeyed to avoid 2-match elimination.

We cover the first week of Euros action after consciously not picking the tournament so we would be able to just critique what is happening after the fact. I did, however, have an FM prediction saying Turkey was going to do well, and well, they haven't. The first week didn't lack for drama elsewhere.

You may have heard, but we have a new European champion. Was it deserved? How did Chelsea do it? Then, most importantly, is this the beginning of Chelsea's dominance under Tuchel? Also, I don't know if you've heard, but PSG lost LOLOLOLOL

There are a lot of things happening in the world of football / soccer (most of which happened right after this podcast was recorded) but one of the most pressing issues of yester-year is the explosive growth of Lingard as a prospect for major clubs. Man City also signed a wonderkid, and oh yea JESSE LINGARD TO MADRID.

Ben and Zealand return after a one-week hiatus to touch on the most pressing realization in their absence. Why is Jesse Lingard suddenly god on earth. There is also the small but also huge question of where Haaland is going, and youtube as a whole. Really nothing to talk about this week.

Ben and Ze talk about the royal family, the royal family of France (PSG) being on the brink, and Ze has to eat some sort of shortbread thing. Clearly, Zealand is writing this description because I have no idea what this shortbread thing is. I'm sure it's good though, right?

Are beaches in England worth it? Who's better, Mbappe or Haaland? And what is the title referring to? Man, we're good at asking questions. A breakdown of European action is on the way with some hope for our favorite Liverpool fan. Zealand also checks off multiple bingo boxes (again).
