Episode 11 of the 2 Girls and a Game curling podcast's season 10 is in the books and Girl 3—Daryell Nowlan—makes another celebrity appearance.

G1 and G3 run through the latest Scotties news, and there's a bunch of topics to discuss. The latest men's provincial results are in and get digested, as well as the Winter Youth Olympics, championships in Japan and Sweden, an upcoming championship in Alberta, the hunt for the men's final wild card berth in the Brier, and more.

Lori then spends time with 2018 Olympic champion and U.S. curling ambassador Tyler George, who breaks down the just-completed USA Curling Nationals held in a mammoth shopping mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

In Episode 6 (Season 6) Lori and Mary check in on each other to see how they are managing with all the turmoil in the world.  They get caught up with what curling events took place on the weekend and some Covid scares that have hit clubs in Canada.  Lori talks with Canadian Scotties Champion, Val Sweeting.  They discuss Val's successful skipping career, her transition to playing third with Team Einerson, winning the Scotties and being so close to playing the World Championships only to have everything cancelled with 2 days to go.  Val reflects on what she has learned during her curling career and what she has taken away from this uncertain season.  Thank you for listening and please enjoy the episode!  Stay Safe!

In the 5th Episode (Season 6) "Is Covid Making People Lose it?" Lori and Mary discuss the recent survey that Dr. Luethy conducted with the participants of the USA Club Nationals which showed how Covid spreads at a curling event.  The girls chat about the various events that have taken place around Canada and the emergence and success of the younger teams.  Lori and Mary then talk about the events that were shut down in Saskatchewan and the social media storm that took place.  Team McCarville shared a letter they received from a former curling "fan" and the girls talk about the unfair criticism women receive in sport.  Thank you for listening and please enjoy the episode!  Stay safe!

In the 4th Episode (Season 6) Lori and Mary discuss the Covid numbers climbing in Ontario and how that forced teams to withdraw from the latest spiel held in KW.  The event was held with  a decreased field and on the ladies side Team Mann defeated Team Jones in the final and on the men's side Team Epping defeated Team Howard.  The girls were able to commentate a game during the live streaming on CurlingZone so they discuss the experience and some of the guest commentators.  Team Koe made their debut this weekend at a spiel out in Alberta, losing in the quarters.  The girls review the new calendar picks for the 2021 version of the curling calendar!  Then Lori and Mary discuss new restrictions in and around Canada and the impact it will make on curling and the players.  Thank you for listening, please enjoy the episode and stay safe!!

In the 2nd Episode (Season 6) there are curling events beginning to happen here in Canada in the midst of a second wave of Covid.  Some clubs are deferring their openings, some are choosing not to open and some regions are faring quite well though the pandemic. In the Season 6 Premiere episode Lori and Mary get together to figure out how to proceed with a curling podcast when there isn't much curling taking place.  Luckily, they never seem to run out of topics and crazy stories to share!  The girls discuss all the recent announcements and cancellations of curling events worldwide and how each country is handling travel restrictions and quarantining differently.  Lori and Mary chat about all the epic events and moments they will miss about this shortened and different season and what some of the curlers have been up too.  They share a ton of laughs and even wrote a song about this pandemic curling season!  Welcome back to the podcast and please enjoy the episode!

In this summer bonus episode, Lori and Mary get to know more about one of their favourite players - Kate Cameron!  The girls find out what life has been like for Kate during Covid and how it affected her wedding plans.  They find out more about the ups and downs in Kate's curling career before she finally broke through and made it to the Scotties in 2017.  Lori and Mary chat with Kate about that experience and what it was like playing in the final against Team Homan.   Kate discusses how it felt wearing the Team Canada jersey after Team Homan was unable to go back to the Scotties the following year with the Olympic conflict.  The girls find  out more about Team Walker, their experience in Moosejaw, how she feels about the current Scotties format and what is happening with the team moving forward.  Then Lori and Mary ask some fun questions about Kate modelling in the Women of Curling Calendar, her signature look and get a curler's confession!  Please enjoy and stay safe and healthy everyone!
