| Apollyon | 11 Sep 2025 | 00:41:47 | |
In this episode, we dive into Apollyon, the award-winning sci-fi audio drama created by writer and director Faith McQuinn with sound design by Joshua Suhy. Set in the 22nd century, Apollyon tells the story of a world forever changed by a deadly virus and the scientists racing to secure humanity’s future.
But what truly sets Apollyon apart is its heart. Faith McQuinn crafts characters who are three-dimensional, intimate, and deeply human—relationships that feel both familiar and surprising, driving the tension and emotion at every turn. Joshua Suhy complements that vision with immersive sound design, building the sense of space and atmosphere that makes the world come alive.
Together, Faith and Joshua show how creative teams transform compelling stories into fully realized experiences. Apollyon isn’t just a podcast you hear—it’s a world you inhabit.
Seasons 1 and 2, along with the mini-series Patient Zero and Chronicles, are available now wherever you listen to podcasts. Season 3 is in pre-production and will debut in 2025.

| Punching Out | 30 Oct 2024 | 00:29:07 | |
"Punching Out" by Jenni Stukin and Ruby Fink is a dark comedy that combines office humor with a zombie apocalypse twist, focusing on Rosie, a young woman excited for her last day at work before opening her dream pet bakery. Alongside her is Clea, a loyal friend harboring unspoken romantic feelings for Rosie. Just as the office begins planning Rosie’s farewell, a radio broadcast announces an alarming zombie outbreak. The quirky office crew—optimistic pacifist Atlas, sarcastic and gruff Melby, bold and witty Marge, and awkward, hopeful Dave—must abruptly shift gears, transforming from lighthearted coworkers into reluctant survivalists. Under Melby’s assertive leadership, they barricade the doors, scramble to create makeshift weapons, and brace themselves for whatever the apocalypse throws their way.
Throughout the chaos, the story finds darkly humorous moments as each character reveals unexpected layers. Atlas, true to his “love warrior” nature, tries to connect with a zombie child, only to meet a grim fate, emphasizing the futility of his pacifist beliefs in such dire circumstances. Meanwhile, Melby and Marge humorously take a moment for intimacy amidst the crisis, and Dave’s attempts to impress Rosie lead him to hide his infection, ultimately forcing Marge to make a tough decision for the group’s safety. As the situation becomes increasingly hopeless, Clea finally confesses her feelings for Rosie, and together, they make a last stand before securing themselves in a bank vault. Leaving a note outside for potential rescuers, they cling to a glimmer of hope they will be found.

Delve into the mind of Jimmy Murray, a former fiction writer, famous for his Trish Hunter series. Jimmy now showcases modern audio fiction on his radio show. Despite his popularity, Jimmy harbors deep resentment towards his listeners, fellow writers, and himself. One fateful day, as Jimmy leaves the radio station, he finds himself inexplicably transported into a nightmarish realm that mirrors the horrifying stories he once penned...and the final girl he forced to endure his twisted stories.
About the cast:
Daniel Penz (Jimmy) is an American voice actor known for his deep, rich, and professional voice-overs, narrations, and characterizations in various audio-books, anime, and video games. With over 30 years of industry experience, he has worked with numerous renowned clients such as Audible.com, FUNimation Entertainment, and several others, contributing to a wide range of projects. Apart from his exemplary voice acting skills, Daniel is also a two-time Emmy Award-winning video editor and producer, having created content for organizations like CBS, JCPenney, and PBS.
Crystal Storm (Trish) initially wanted to be a lawyer but ended up not attending classes in college and was asked not to return. Years later, she decided to change her thinking and began pursuing a career in the arts. She has written novels, hosted a podcast, and is involved in voice acting, voice directing, and writing for the Tales Network. Crystal also enjoys playing video games and tabletop games on Twitch.
This podcast also featured the incredible talents of Nicole Fikes, Matthew Boudreau, and Owen McCuen, and excerpts from other works by Matthew Boudreau featuring Patrick Pizzolorusso, Sophia Howes, John Bell, G. Anton Moore, Gyda Arber, and Christianne Greiert.
Warning: This podcast contains elements of psychological horror and sexually suggestive scenes. As always, 11th Hour material may not be suitable for sensitive listeners.
