What is the best thing you read this summer? My guest Carmel Phillips and I are sharing the books that made the greatest impression over the last few months, including backlist titles and the buzziest books of the season. (And yes, of course we mention the NYT Best Books of the 21st century list that dropped in July.) Carmel Phillips is a design and style blogger who regularly shares bold interiors, budget-friendly fashion, and a splash of book talk! Ep 226: Hollywood Horror Story 27 Jun 202401:36:16
This is a story about growing up feeling like an outsider and finding a book that made you feel less alone. And then growing up to create an adaptation of that book for the screen, in a dream project that took years to complete. This is a story about my friend Jill Killington and her work on the tv adaptation of Stephen King's THE STAND. You don't have to like horror or Hollywood to appreciate this conversation. Jill gives us a behind-the-scenes Hollywood perspective that was new and fascinating to me even after knowing her for 20+ years and sharing a longtime love of Stephen King. I think you are going to love the insight and insider stories she shares in this episode. NOTE: There are spoilers for THE STAND in this episode. BONUS: FRIENDSHIP STORIES: The Breakup (JeriLynne's Story)21 Apr 202300:50:07
Welcome to another episode in my Friendship Stories series.  Over the last few months, we’ve heard a number of uplifting stories about unique and transformative friendships in this series. But today’s episode is about an aspect of friendship that is painful and rarely discussed: the friendship break up. My guest, JeriLynne, shares that when her marriage ended, there was collateral damage in the form of friendship loss as well. That friendship breakup left her without real closure and she continues to struggle to be vulnerable in friendships. While it’s certainly easier to talk about all the positive aspects of friendship, I think it’s also important to discuss these harder, more painful parts of these formative relationships. JeriLynne’s experience is significant and unfortunately a very real part of these friendship. I write about friendship breakups and friendship loss in The Life Council in a chapter called The Empty Chair.   BUY THE LIFE COUNCIL NOW   SUBSCRIBE to 10 Things To Tell You so you never miss an episode! Ep 170: The Old Friend (a conversation with Shauna Niequist)18 Apr 202301:01:53
In my new book The Life Council: 10 Friends Every Woman Needs, I write about how the "old friend" doesn't necessarily mean than you've known one another for decades. All that is required to hold that Life Council seat is to have a friend who has known you from one version of yourself into another. That actual timeline might vary.  But Shauna Niequist is one of my oldest friends however you measure it. We met in the late 90's working at summer camp, where (as I wrote about in my first book Share Your Stuff), I learned from Shauna a different way to walk in the world than I had previously been exposed to.  For twenty-five years, Shauna has been a friend, role model, mentor, and, yes, even a fellow obsessive as we discuss in this episode.  Shauna Niequist is the New York Times bestselling author of Cold Tangerines, Bittersweet, Bread & Wine, Savor, Present Over Perfect, and I Guess I Haven't Learned That Yet. She is married to Aaron, and they live in New York City with their two sons.  To listen to the full reading tangent Shauna and I take in this conversation, you'll have to join my Secret Stuff community.  LEARN MORE ABOUT SECRET STUFF You can learn more about Shauna here Follow Shauna on IG Follow Shauna on FB Subscribe to Shauna's Substack Reading & Eating   FULL SHOW NOTES HERE   MENTIONED: Episode 112: Who was there? BONUS: FRIENDSHIP STORIES: Island Life (Kammy's Story)14 Apr 202300:32:08
Welcome to another episode in my Friendship Stories series. The childhood that my guest Kammy is going to describe in this conversation is unlike any I've ever heard. She grew up on a remote island just two square miles in size, without much contact with the rest of the world. Looking back, Kammy can see that the friendships from this time in her life shaped her relationships to come, and the bond she shares with other children from the island is unrivaled.  This is a fascinating conversation so different from the rest of our Friendship Stories.  * The Friendship Stories series came from the dozens of interviews I conducted while writing my new book The Life Council: 10 Friends Every Woman Needs. Ep 169: Battle Buddies (with Beth Silvers and Sarah Stewart Holland of Pantsuit Politics)11 Apr 202301:03:43
In the framework of my new book The Life Council: 10 Friends Every Woman Needs, the duo behind the Pantsuit Politics podcast could be considered Business Besties or Old Friends, but I see them primarily as BATTLE BUDDIES. Beth Silvers and Sarah Stewart Holland have spent nearly ten years publicly discussing the American political landscape on the podcast Pantsuit Politics, and, well, you can imagine why I see them as having walked through a battle together.  Somehow, though, these two women have navigated these conversations with integrity, grace, and - especially - nuance.  I've been a fan of Beth & Sarah for years now, and respect their work so much. It was honor to have them on the show to talk about their friendship and partnership.    FULL SHOW NOTES ARE HERE   Listen to Pantsuit Politics Follow Pantsuit Politics on IG Follow Beth on IG Follow Sarah on IG Buy their book I Think You're Wrong (But I'm Listening) Buy their book Now What?   MENTIONED in this episode: The Pantsuit Politics Premium Episodes on Patreon   SPONSORS: LUME // Go to LumeDeodorant.com and use code YOU for 40% your starter pack ZocDoc // Go to Zocdoc.com/YOU to download the Zocdoc app for free   SUBSCRIBE to 10 Things To Tell You so you never miss an episode! Ep 166: How To Write A Book (in 10 steps)21 Mar 202301:02:21
My second book The Life Council: 10 Friends Every Woman Needs comes out in just two weeks, and so I have writing on my mind.  PREORDER THE LIFE COUNCIL NOW Becoming an author has been my life's biggest dream since I was in elementary school, but I was in my 40's and had been writing professionally for over a decade before it finally happened. And, truthfully, my first two books are not what I ever pictured myself writing!  I created this episode because I really wish someone had broken down the process of writing a book for me years ago. And because I think a lot of people want to write a book, but have no idea where to start.  Although the 10 steps I walk through here follow my own process of writing nonfiction, a lot of what I'm sharing here could apply to any sort of creative endeavor. I'm talking about preparation, mindset, rituals, and radical honesty.  How To Write A Book (in 10 Steps): Be honest about the WHY (and if a book is the best format to tell your story) Decide what you’re really trying to say Outline, outline, outline Give yourself a deadline Find your rituals Measure something Write for yourself, rewrite for your audience Use an editor and don’t take the edits personally Let the book become what it’s supposed to be Call it done   MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE: Ep 73: I wrote a book! BONUS: 10 Ways To Support A Friend Going Through Crisis or Chronic Hardship 25 Jun 202400:48:01
Since I write and talk about friendship so much, a frequent question comes up around supporting a friend when they are going through something difficult. I think the answer on this can vary, depending on the particular hardship, but my guest today is someone who knows what friends need when their difficult life circumstance is ongoing. Jessica Patay is the founder of We Are Brave Together, a nonprofit organization that provides respite, community, and resources for mothers caring for children of any age with disabilities, unique needs, or other medical or mental health challenges. BONUS: FRIENDSHIP STORIES: Pen Pals. (Sarah's Story)10 Mar 202300:21:43
Welcome to another episode in my Friendship Stories series.  When I was young, I always dreamed of having a pen pal. It seemed like something straight out of a movie! Well wait until you hear Sarah's story...it really is like some magical fiction.  In the years before the internet connected us all, Sarah and her childhood pen pal exchanged hundreds of letters. But when they went to college, they naturally lost touch. A very serendipitous mutual aquaintance reconnected Sarah and her long lost letter writing friend and THEN....well, you just have to listen to find out.  I just loved this story of friendship evolving through pen and paper across the decades.  * The Friendship Stories series came from the dozens of interviews I conducted while writing my new book The Life Council: 10 Friends Every Woman Needs.  PREORDER The Life Council now!  If you preorder the book in any format from any retailer before April 4, you're also eligible for my preorder BONUSES.  CLAIM YOUR PREORDER BONUSES HERE. * SUBSCRIBE to 10 Things To Tell You so you never miss an episode! Ep 162: 10 Ways To Handle Overwhelm21 Feb 202300:55:11
We all have seasons of overwhelm, whether it's a packed schedule, an insane To Do list, or events that require a lot of emotional processing. I've been navigating my own overwhelm in the last few months while juggling a larger-than-normal workload with travel and family obligations. So I sat down to make a list of the things that are helping me handle it.  Circumstances are often largely out of our control, but we can still find pockets of peace that keep us in the present and help us maintain a clear mind.  I made this episode for me, but I hope it helps you, too. Ep 161: My Husband Is Not My Best Friend14 Feb 202300:45:23
One of my core friendship philosophies is that my spouse is not my best friend.  When I talk about this, people raise their eyebrows. Some assume our marriage is in trouble or that we're ill matched. It has become so common in romantic relationship culture to claim that you're married to your best friend that anything else seems unhealthy.  But while my husband Jeff is the most important person in my life, he is NOT my best friend. He's my partner. My co parent. My lover. I have best friends, and those relationships are different. Early in our marriage, when I tried to make Jeff be my best friend, the pressure for him (and me) to be all things to one another was too much.  We both needed and wanted lots of different types of relationships in our lives. Our marriage was stronger when we were closely connected to our friends. I write more about this in my new book The Life Council: 10 Friends Every Woman Needs, but I wanted you to hear Jeff and I talk about it with each other. We don't have the exact same take on this topic, and our perspectives shift with age and in various seasons, as almost everything does. My hope is that this conversation will give you something to think about that counters the current cultural ideal that our partners have to be our best friends. Maybe it will become a talking point with YOUR partner or with your best friends.   FULL SHOW NOTES ARE HERE   SPONSORS: Prose // Go to Prose.com/YOU to take your free in-depth hair consultation quiz and get 15% off your first order HelloFresh // Go to HelloFresh.com/YOU65 and use code YOU65 for 65% off your first box plus free shipping   SUBSCRIBE to 10 Things To Tell You so you never miss an episode! Ep 160: FRIENDSHIP STORIES: Betrayal. (Melissa's Story)07 Feb 202300:55:53
This is a conversation about infidelity.  Welcome to another installment of the FRIENDSHIP STORIES: a new series where guests share their experiences of the friendships that have shaped their lives.  In this episode, Melissa tells us about her best friend "Lauren." This story has several jaw dropping moments, but this isn’t a perspective only about scandal. There are also so many details here about those friends - or sometimes even acquaintances - who met Melissa in the moment, just when she needed it most.  FULL SHOW NOTES HERE Preorder The Life Council: 10 Friends Every Woman Needs by Laura Tremaine   SPONSORS: Zocdoc // Zocdoc.com/YOU to download the Zocdoc app for free Betterhelp // Go to Betterhelp.com/YOU for 10% off your first month   SUBSCRIBE to 10 Things To Tell You so you never miss an episode! Ep 225: Change Happens When You're Looking The Other Way (The Birthday Episode)20 Jun 202400:56:16
It's my birthday week! I'm turning 45. And every year around this time, I do a birthday episode looking back and looking ahead. This year's theme is about the quiet changes that happen when you're distracted, or busy, or not paying attention. Last year on my birthday I was convinced that something HUGE was going to happen in my 44th year. I thought I had an intuition about it. I journaled my heart out about what was coming for me. And then...when I approached the end of 2023 and then eventually the end of my 44th year, I was disappointed that what I thought was a premonition hadn't come true. Instead, what I found was that I fundamentally changed in the last year. Through a series of events, heart aches, conversations, and maturity, I find myself at a really different place than I was last June. And while it might not be the seismic event I was anticipating, it has been earth shifting all the same. FULL SHOW NOTES HERE MENTIONED in this episode: Join us for Stephen King Summer! Ep 158: Sexism and Ageism Had a Baby and Called It Menopause (a conversation with Dr. Suzanne Gilberg-Lenz)24 Jan 202301:14:55
This conversation is for anyone who will go through menopause, is currently going through menopause, or who has already gone through menopause.  Dr. Suzanne Gilberg-Lenz is my personal gynecologist and I trust her completely with the information she shares in this episode about the changes that women go through biologically, hormonally, physically, and emotionally. She's recently published Menopause Bootcamp: Optimize Your Health, Empower Your Self, and Flourish As You Age.  In this conversation we talk about her path to this work that combines holistic and modern medicine and her compassion and mission to help other women find the answers they need for this next stage of life.  Don't be scared by the "m" word. Ep 157: True Crime as Entertainment (A Victim's Story with Amy B. Chesler)17 Jan 202301:07:43
This is an important topic. Since the explosion in popularity of the true crime genre over the last decade, I've questioned the ethics of crime as entertainment. Many of us have become obsessed with grisley stories of murder.  But have you ever actually talked to someone whose loved one was murdered? Would it change your opinion on the true crime entertainment genre?  This episode is a conversation with author, award-winning blogger, and actress Amy B. Chesler. Amy's mother was murdered in 2007 and her book Working for Justice: One Family's Tale of Murder, Betrayal, and Healing is about the events before and after this tragic event.  Amy surprised me with her take on the popularity of the true crime genre and it definitely affected how I consume these stories.  FULL SHOW NOTES ARE HERE MENTIONED in this episode: Amy B. Ep 156: FRIENDSHIP STORIES: Soul Mates Christi & Cindy10 Jan 202300:37:32
Introducing FRIENDSHIP STORIES: a new series where we explore different aspects of one of the most important relationships of our lives. We're going to talk about friendships that work and friendships that end. We're going to hear about soul mates, infidelity, friendship breakups, rogue bridesmaids, and more. Last year when I was researching for my book The Life Council: 10 Friends Every Woman Needs, I did dozens of interviews with women about their friendships. We talked about the best parts and the worst pain of adult friendship and these stories were fascinating. I am excited to share some of them with you over the next few months leading up to the release of The Life Council. PREORDER The Life Council: 10 Friends Every Woman Needs We're kicking off the series with soul mates Christi and Cindy, friends who met at work over twenty years ago when they both had toddler daughters. Though they met when their circumstances were similar, things soon changed when Christi's husband joined the military after 9/11, and their family began a life adventure that took them away from their home in Louisiana indefinitely.  In our conversation, Christi and Cindy share why their friendship works and how their opposite personalities have shaped them into better people. We talk about their first big fight, the fact that they're jealous of each other's spouses, and how their friendship has survived the long distances. They also give excellent advice for making new friends.  I wanted to kick off the Friendship Stories series with a beautiful story, and Christi and Cindy are such an excellent example of what it takes to find and maintain a friendship soul mate.  FULL SHOW NOTES ARE HERE   SPONSORS: This episode is sponsored by PROSE. Ep 155: 3 Affirmations and 3 Habits for the New Year03 Jan 202300:59:15
Happy 2023!  As we kick off a new year, it's natural to think about what we want to do differently going forward. For me, I want to return to some habits that promote work/life balance and I'm activitely working to shift some of my mindsets by using affirmations.  Somewhere along the way I got out of the affirmation habit (I really stopped doing my whole morning routine in general) and while it was fine for awhile, I'm definitely noticing it now. The simple repetitions that you write in a journal or put on a sticky note on your mirror really do make a difference to your self-talk.  So I'm sharing the 3 affirmations and 3 habits that I'm working on in the early days of this new year, and I hope these help you as you think about the changes you want for 2023.    FULL SHOW NOTES ARE HERE   MENTIONED in this episode: The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod Episode 79: 10+ Mantras and Affirmations for RIGHT NOW Episode 145: Time Anxiety Sign up for JOURNALING for GROWNUPS   SPONSORS: Journaling for Grownups by Laura Tremaine Zocdoc.com/YOU to download the Zocdoc app for free   SUBSCRIBE to 10 Things To Tell You so you never miss an episode! Ep 154: 10 Things I Learned in 202227 Dec 202201:24:18
The week between Christmas and New Years is one of my favorite parts of the year. I love the reflection, the final Best Of lists, the hope and excitement for the year ahead.  In the past, I've called this final episode of the year "10 TAKEAWAYS from 20__" but as I was journaling through all that had happened in 2022, I realized that (for me) it was all about the lessons learned.  From Covid wreaking havoc to writing my second book to welcoming two new members to our household, 2022 became a season of learning how to change.  I hope that listening back to the lessons I took from the year inspires you to think about the biggest takeaways of YOUR 2022.  FULL SHOW NOTES ARE HERE   MENTIONED in this episode: jackass forever Max the Dog Trainer The Life Council (preorder!)    SUBSCRIBE to 10 Things To Tell You so you never miss an episode! Ep 151: 10 Questions for Starting Over06 Dec 202200:57:55
We all have to start over sometimes. A project, a job, a relationship, a new year.  And for me, this podcast! 10 Things To Tell You is BACK and this week I'm sharing 10 (oops, actually 9!) prompts that will help you think through anything you're starting over. Take these prompts to your journal, to a business partner, to significant other, or anyone who is walking alongside you in your fresh start.  NOTE: Your ears are not deceiving you - one prompt is missing from this episode. I accidentally skipped prompt #7. The question was meant to be "What are your top two priorities?" so add that one in as you're journaling.     MENTIONED in this episode: Sorta Awesome podcast  Smartest Person in the Room podcast Atomic Habits by James Clear   SPONSORS: Secret Stuff by Laura Tremaine   SUBSCRIBE to 10 Things To Tell You so you never miss an episode! SURPRISE! Guess who's back??02 Dec 202200:03:35
10 Things To Tell You is returning to weekly Tuesday episodes starting December 6! At the beginning of 2022, I took a step back from weekly podcasting in order to focus on my family, my health, and more importantly to write my second book.  And I did that!  (Preorder The Life Council: 10 Friends Every Woman Needs in all formats now.) I always knew I wanted to return to podcasting, but I wasn't sure if it would be 10 Things To Tell You or if I would be ready for a new project. After I turned in The Life Council this fall, I realized I still have LOTS of things to tell. And I just love what we've created together on the 10 Things To Tell You podcast. So I'm bringing it back! I've already recorded dozens of conversations for you for 2023, including a series on friendship that is fascinating. I can't wait for you to hear it. But I wanted to go ahead and relaunch in December because I love end-of-the-year episodes designed to make us think about how to end the year strong.  10 Things To Tell You will have a fresh look, new music, and renewed energy, but the concept will stay the same: sharing ourselves is the key to connection. Each episode will continue to give you a prompt that you can take to your journal or use as a conversation starter. Because sharing yourself will make you less lonely. Sometimes we just need a little nudge.  SUBSCRIBE to the show so you don't miss a thing! Call for Friendship Stories13 Dec 202100:06:54
I'm working on my next book, and while I can't give you too many details yet, I would love your help on one particular aspect:  I want your unique friendship stories! This next project is all about friendship, and I'm collecting unique friendship stories that could potentially be used in the book or part of a podcast series on the same topic.  Here's what I'm looking for: Stories about a surprise in a friendship  The heartbreak of a friendship breakup Something very unusual about a friendship (a wide age gap, for example, or a workplace friendship, etc) Something dramatic that happened within a friendship (someone saved a life, a cult infiltrated a friendship, a friend married another friend's ex, etc.) If you think you have a unique friendship story that fits this description (or anything along these lines), I would love to hear from you.  Please fill out the form HERE: https://www.10thingstotellyou.com/friendshipstories And of course feel free to share this call out with anyone who might be interested.  I can't wait to hear from you!   Learn more about your ad choices. I’m sharing four mistakes I don’t regret in my: Education Marriage Business & Body As we come to the end of another calendar year, I’m (as always) nostalgic and reflective. Here are some of the biggest choices in my life that were the “wrong” choices, but I don’t regret them. (Okay, one of them I do regret.) Ep 145: Time Anxiety30 Nov 202100:48:44
Have you ever had the thoughts: I don’t have enough time Time is passing me by I’m wasting too much time If this is something that really affects your mood, your schedule, and you're full of frazzle, overwhelm, or a continuing existential crisis, then you may have Time Anxiety. (Not an official thing - just a name I gave to something that affects me regularly.) In this episode, I’m sharing about my own Time Anxiety and how it hurts my productivity and my parenting. I’m also talking about how to notice ALL the messages we get in our culture about TIME, and why those messages are giving us constant low-level hums of anxiety. I’m also sharing a few concrete methods I use to combat Time Anxiety. I hope you find this episode helpful or at the very least like you’re not the only one obsessed with the passage and managing of time. FULL SHOW NOTES HERE Sponsors: Ritual vitamins. Ep 143: Planning and Paper Planners (with Sarah Hart-Unger)16 Nov 202101:16:39
We're in the home stretch of 2021 and plans for 2022 are starting to take shape. So I am so excited to welcome Sarah Hart-Unger to the show to talk about planning (rituals, philosophies, and more) and planning tools (paper planners, apps, and books).  Planning and productivity is a side hobby of mine, but Sarah Hart-Unger is much more of an expert. She's a doctor, a mom, a blogger, and has not one but TWO podcasts on these topics. You can find her blogging daily at TheShuBox.com and on her podcast Best Laid Plans (all about planning tools) and as a cohost with Laura Vanderkam on Best of Both Worlds (all about time management and work/life balance).  We had a great conversation about ALL of these things, which left me excited for the year ahead in both work and family life.  FULL SHOW NOTES HERE Read more about Sarah Hart-Unger Follow Sarah Hart-Unger on IG   SPONSORS Betterhelp. Ep 223: You Only Die Once (a conversation about living with Jodi Wellman)06 Jun 202400:51:53
Jodi Wellman is focused on death. And she wants you to think about it more, too. Death is (clearly) not a popular topic, and something most of us avoid thinking about at all costs. But Jodi believes that knowing you have something to lose can help you live like you mean it. Her new book You Only Die Once: How To Make It To The End With No Regrets can walk you through making the most of your time on this earth. In this episode, author and speaker Jodi Wellman shares 5 ways to live like you're dying: Count your Mondays (quantifying your time can be remarkably clarifying) Diagnose the dead zones (areas in life that feel dead inside) Identify your deathbed pre-grets (regrets-in-the-making that can still be course-corrected) Live wider (with vitality) and deeper (with meaning): identify a list of enlivening endeavors  Pick one small thing to take action on at a time Learn more about Jodi Wellman Buy You Only Die Once: How To Make It To the End With No Regrets Follow Jodi Wellman on IG FULL SHOW NOTES HERE JOIN STEPHEN KING SUMMER HERE SUBSCRIBE to 10 Things To Tell You so you never miss an episode! Ep 142: The Tremaine Fish Tank (with Nic Tiemens from Infinity Aquariums) 09 Nov 202101:13:51
Well this episode is a bit of a departure.  One of the strangest things about our life in Hollywood (and there are many, many strange things) is our enormous fish tank. Every time I share a little bit about our fish tank on social media, I get flooded with questions that I mostly can't answer.  So I finally recorded a conversation with someone who could! Nic Tiemens is the co-founder of Infinity Aquariums and not only does he take care of the Tremaine Tank for us every week, he has installed and maintained tanks for some of the biggest celebrities and most beautiful homes in the world.  In this episode, Nic shares how he stumbled into this line of work, why you shouldn't ever get a fish tank on a whim, and the insane new project he's been working on for two years in Bel Air.  My husband Jeff also joins us for part of the conversation, because he's the real reason we have a 1,500 gallon fish tank in our dining room.  FULL SHOW NOTES HERE Learn more about Nic and Infinity Aquariums Follow @infinityaquariums on IG SPONSORS Rothys. #OneDayHH 2021 is November 9th!05 Nov 202100:12:00
My annual social media challenge #OneDayHH will take place on Tuesday, November 9th 2021.  This short, informative episode will explain a little more about what #OneDayHH is, how it works, and why it's so meaningful.  #OneDayHH stands for One Day Hour by Hour, and that's what we do: document ONE DAY in our life, hour by hour. Sharing the things that don't usually get shared, like routines and spaces and outfits and all that other minutia.  We do it because it's fun, and that's reason enough. But this minisode might give you a little more inspiration to jump in.  Follow me on IG @laura.tremaine to see MY day.  For more information go to: 10ThingsToTellYou.com/OneDayHH Can't wait for you to join in with this day-in-the-life challenge this year!    Learn more about your ad choices. Ep 141: 6 Classic Novels You Should Read (with guest Colleen Powell)02 Nov 202101:24:10
This episode is for anyone who misses being a student.  I have a running list of classic novels that I want to re-read as an adult or read for the first time because I missed them in high school English class.  And so once a year or so, I force myself to pick up those novels that end up on All Time Best lists like this one. Or this one. Or even this one.  If you have the same literary burden, this episode is meant to help you choose a classic that won't be a total bore.  I'm joined by my friend and Patreon producer Colleen Powell, a former teacher and current audio editor outside of Chicago.  Colleen helps me with the Secret Stuff Book Club, and this winter we're reading a few classic novels starting this November with Little Women by Louisa May Alcott.  Join the Secret Stuff Book Club HERE.  In our conversations, Colleen and I are sharing both the best contemporary books we've read lately AND the best classic novels we'd recommend to anyone.  FULL SHOW NOTES HERE  Best Books We've Read Lately: The Guncle by Stephen Rowley A Swim in a Pond in the Rain by George Saunders The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune Oh William! by Elizabeth Strout   6 Classics You Should Read:   Frankenstein by Mary Shelley Catcher in the Rye by J.D.Salinger The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough Native Son by Richard Wright Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte Little Women by Louisa May Alcott SPONSORS: Noom.
