I have bittersweet news: I am (lovingly) closing down my podcast and business!

"Lovingly" - because I have LOVED working on this project, serving my career coaching clients, and meeting my listeners and followers over the last 3+ years! I am PROUD of this body of work and it will continue to exist on the internet to help more people in the future.

In this final episode, I explain the rationale behind this personal decision and how I made it. I talk about how my core values have changed, the key questions I asked myself when I made this decision, the "warning signs" that helped me understand that it was time for a change, and why I am ready to divest myself from grind & hustle culture.

Diego reassures any aspiring product manager that you don't need to have a "technical" background or MBA to break into this path - and his YouTube channel, PM Diego Granados, dives even deeper to help people pivot into this fulfilling and exciting career path. 

On this episode, hear from Isabel Longoria, a French-Mexican-American policy and public affairs professional from Houston, Texas. Isabel, a queer Latina, ran against an incumbent on the Houston City Council in 2019 and narrowly lost by only 16 votes. Isabel shares what the experience was like, what she learned, and how she's pivoted into a new exciting role leading voter innovation in Harris County. 

After graduating from Morehouse College in 2014, Nate Jones only spent a couple of years working in the financial services industry before deciding to merge his passion for improving the socioeconomic status quo for low-income neighborhoods with his financial and analytical skillset. Nate went on to co-found the Village Microfund, a social impact fund empowering entrepreneurs in Metro Atlanta by providing access to capital, business education, and a "Village" of support. In 2020, Nate was named one of HBCUVC's "31 under 31" emerging leaders in venture capital. On this episode, he talks candidly about his early career experiences and decisions, while inspiring us all to stay motivated and make the world a better place.

After graduating as a civil engineer major at Rice University in 2014, Maria Paula Muñoz opted for a stable career path within the oil and gas industry, only to soon realize that the role wasn't exactly the best fit for her. On this episode, Maria Paula talks about what it was like to start and go through a challenging yearlong job search process only months after taking her first job after college, what it took to pivot into a brand new industry and function, and how she used her MBA to later break into a career at Google in the tech industry. This episode is a refreshing story for the job-searcher who is seeking career fulfillment or for anyone who has ever felt alone at work. 

On this episode, Annick Jordan shares what it was like to work as a paralegal at a big law firm and Spotify before going to Stanford Law School. She breaks down her longer-than-expected law school application process and what it was like to overcome the LSAT and self-imposed expectations on her law school application timeline. She also shares what it was like to be one of the few Black women in her Stanford Law class, and her path to becoming a public defender in New Orleans, Louisiana - the mass incarceration capital in the world. Annick's story is a wonderful reminder to set big goals and go after our dreams - no matter how long it takes to get there.
