What is a Wellness Coach vs. Health Coach vs. Life Coach?29 Jun 202300:37:44

In this episode, Erin explains what she does as a health, wellness and life coach. When we asked you if you knew what a coach was over on Instagram, half of you said you kind of understood, but weren't totally clear. Let's change that!

Erin's experience working with a life coach in her mid-twenties, changed the entire trajectory of her life. She began somatic healing work that helped her reduce anxiety and finally heal her relationship with food and her body. This newfound freedom allowed her the mental capacity and clarity to come up with the idea for the original Raw Beauty Talks interview series and the rest, as they say, is history!

Coaches provide strategies and perspectives to help you step into your highest potential. A good coach will provide the right structure, accountability and support to get you from where you are to where you want to be.

As a coach, Erin specifically focuses on these key areas;

  • Helping you heal your relationship with food and your body through intuitive eating, mindfulness, habit change and mindset work.
  • Anxiety reduction using evidence-based practices.
  • Overcoming limiting beliefs and low self-esteem.
  • Uncovering your purpose and stepping into alignment with your best self.

  • In this episode Erin explains what health coaching is, and what you can expect when working with one.

    • What is a health coach vs. a wellness coach vs. a life coach?
    • What’s the difference between a coach and a therapist?
    • What can a wellness coach support you with?
    • What kind of tools does a coach use?

Codependency & Boundaries with Terri Cole10 Mar 202301:02:19

Today on the show mental health, self love and boundary expert, Psychotherapist Terri Cole joins us. Terri went from alcohol-abusing teen to a globally recognized teacher, healer and author who has helped thousands to attain and sustain vibrant mental health and become empowered in their relationships.

The happiest, most successful people on the planet all have one thing in common: the ability to create and communicate clear, healthy, concise boundaries. This ability is hands-down, the biggest game-changer when it comes to profound and lasting transformation.

Most of us were never taught how to effectively express our preferences, desires or deal-breakers.

Instead, we deny our own truths, or push our emotions down until we get depressed or so frustrated that we explode, destroying trust and relationships, and STILL not getting our needs met!

If you feel overwhelmed, stressed out, resentful or like, "there must be more!" this episode is for you.

    Alcohol-free & Thriving with Elizabeth Gascoigne03 Mar 202300:36:01

"I'm worried I'll be so boring without alcohol." This is one of the top concerns people have when they think about reducing their alcohol intake. The thought of being social without the social lubricant is enough to keep people sipping alcohol when they don't really want it.

Today's guest, Elizabeth Gascoigne had a social, on-again/off-again relationship with alcohol. Deep down, she knew alcohol wasn't serving her and it was actively hindering her ability to feel good and thrive. Like many others of her generation, she was officially ‘sober-curious.’

Quickly realizing there was a lack of nightlife options that didn't center around alcohol, she decided to launch a non-alcoholic pop-up bar experience, Absence of Proof, and was amazed when the parties popped off. Now she's expanding into new cities and hosting a variety of alcohol-free events.

Whether you're drinking alcohol, reducing your intake, alcohol-free or sober this episode has something for everyone to sip on!

While it can be super exciting, fun and enriching, travel can also stir up a lot as we move out of our comfort zone and into the unfamiliar. Is Sober-ish A Thing?21 Jan 202300:58:05

Whether you're doing dry January or carrying on with drinking as per usual, "to booze or not to booze" is a question that everyone seems to be asking in 2023. Even Gary Vaynerchuk, who is well known for his success in growing his family wine business, recently noted, "the mocktail biz is about to explode". Health Canada just released a statement recommending adults consume no more than two alcoholic beverages per week, due to the increased risk of disease.

In this episode, Erin shares her personal experience re-introducing alcohol back into the fold after 1.5 years sober. Will alcohol trigger more anxiety? Is it possible to open the door to drinking but still say no most of the time? Is the messy middle social drinker and sobriety worth it? Tune in to find out whether it's truly possible to be sober-ish in a culture obsessed with drinking.
