Echoes of Wisdom was revealed at the Nintendo Direct today... I think that Echoes of Wisdom is an absolute miracle, it's a game that shouldn't exist by all accounts, it's made in the Link's Awakening art style, Zelda is the protagonist and it's the first new original 2D Zelda in around 15 years. But I'm worried, there are some things that are irking me about this game.

I love Tears of the Kingdom, it's one of my favourite Zelda games... But, while Breath of the Wild had used freedom to it's absolute fullest potential, TotK really didn't, it kept butting heads with the idea that freedom is going to be the future of the series. So today I want to look beyond Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom and explain why more isn't always better.

The Zelda series has been going in a direction that a LOT of people LOVE, and some people don't love quite so much, they'd like some more traditional elements to return that aren't currently in Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild. Today I'm gonna be looking at some interviews that Aonuma and Fujibayashi have attended to look for some clues as to what's in the future of the Legend of Zelda series, more open games, more of a mixture... Or no more "linear" elements in Zelda games from now on? We take a look at this and more in this video.

In my opinion, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has made Breath of the Wild feel like a tech demo... But how did we get into this situation? Well I think after playing BOTW over the course of years I found more and more that needed "fixing" in that game, stuff that could easily be improved upon... Which is why I bring the thesis of this video, I think that TOTK improves on a TON of stuff that Breath of the Wild introduced in the first place, as an example, dungeons is one of them that I include... By virtue of it being a sequel, TOTK has that edge over BOTW.

Are you in the camp that thinks that Tears of the Kingdom's Dungeons are BAD? Well I don't think they are at all, this video is my explanation as to why I don't think that dungeons in TOTK are bad at all, in fact I think a few of them are some of the best in the entire series... But there are a lot of reasons why you might like a dungeon, for it's theme, atmosphere, combat, puzzles, bosses, and all that other good stuff, so it's time to delve into my thoughts in each dungeon in Tears of the Kingdom... And why I believe they're WAY better than the divine beasts.

The Zonai are an EXTREMELY mysterious race of people, even MORESO after Tears of the Kingdom... And that means we have mysteries to try and figure out. Tears of the Kingdom has the chance to make Breath of the Wild basically obsolete, if Breath of the Wild's world is smaller and less detailed than Tears of the Kingdom's, and if TOTK improves on everything that BOTW set out to do back in 2017... Spirit orbs played an integral part in Breath of the Wild's story and it's gameplay loop, you go through a shrine and a spirit orb lays waiting for you, with an ancient sheikah monk on the other side of that spirit orb. Using the orbs you can increase your heart containers or your stamina vessels. This made for a fun gameplay loop... To this day though we don't really know what spirit orbs were... So today I want to discuss what Tears of the Kingdom's BRAND NEW spirit orbs could be, and where they might be in the map, could there be new shrines? Could they be out in the open world, in caves? We talk about all of that and more in this video on TOTK (The Sequel to Breath of the Wild!)
