Satisfied: Twisted Passions—It's your Turn to Speak!
mardi 9 juin 2026 • Durée 27:47
In this episode of Satisfied, Ryan Swanson continues the Twisted Passions series by turning from explanation to application. For those who have experienced same-sex attraction, the question is not only “How did I get here?” but “What do I do now?”
Using Ecclesiastes 4 and the picture of the threefold cord, Ryan explains the biblical importance of mutual discipleship, accountability, and outflow. He challenges listeners not to fight alone, but to share what God has used in their lives to help others pursue purity and satisfaction in Christ.
Listeners who have experienced same-sex attraction are invited to anonymously share a verse, biblical truth, testimony, or practical step that has helped them at https://theegeneration.org/ssa.
Topics Discussed- The loneliness often felt by those struggling with same-sex attraction
- Why Ecclesiastes 4 speaks directly to the danger of isolation
- The difference between one-way mentorship and mutual discipleship
- How the “threefold cord” illustrates shared strength and shared responsibility
- The importance of personal integrity in the battle for purity
- Why outflow is a necessary part of Christian growth
- A powerful testimony from a Christian school chapel where young men began helping one another pursue purity
- The invitation for listeners to anonymously share what God has used to help them
- How testimony, Scripture, and practical wisdom can strengthen others in their own fight
- You are not meant to face temptation alone.
- Mutual discipleship is not one strong person pulling up the weak, but believers strengthening one another as they walk with God.
- God can use the very truths He has taught you in your struggle to help someone else find hope and victory.
- Outflow helps turn the focus away from self and toward serving others.
- Even an anonymous testimony can be a meaningful first step in helping someone else become less gratified and more satisfied with Jesus Christ.

Dr. Jim: The Revival is in Here
samedi 30 mai 2026 • Durée 16:13
In this episode, Dr. Jim Van Gelderen challenges young people to pray for revival, not merely as something God did in the past, but as something He still desires to do today. Reflecting on the history of revival in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, and the heart cry of Psalm 85:6, he reminds listeners that revival begins personally before it spreads corporately. True revival is not earned by human effort, but received through thirst, trust, humility, and dependence on the God who delights to revive His people.
Topics Discussed- The history of God’s reviving work in places now spiritually forgotten
- The prayer of Psalm 85:6: “Wilt thou not revive us again?”
- Why young people should pray for revival in their school, youth group, church, and community
- The Welsh revival story and the reminder that “the revival is in here”
- The meaning of personal revival as Christ’s abundant life in the believer
- Two essentials for personal revival: thirsting for God and trusting Him to work
- How revival produces rejoicing, truth, righteousness, and holiness from the inside out
- Why revival is not something we deserve, but a mercy God gives
- The importance of dealing honestly and biblically with sin
- A testimony of God moving in a Christian school camp and stirring a lifelong burden for revival
- The difference between simply “getting by” and living in the presence and power of God
- Revival is not just a historical event to admire; it is a present need to pray for.
- Corporate revival begins with individual believers who are personally revived.
- A young person does not have to settle for dull, distracted, subnormal Christianity.
- Personal revival begins with a thirsty heart that wants God and a trusting heart that believes Him.
- Revival produces more than emotion; it produces truth, righteousness, holiness, and a passion for Christ.
- God’s reviving work is an act of mercy, not something we earn or deserve.
- The presence of God changes everything. When God “steps in the room,” hearts are humbled, sins are confessed, burdens are born, and lives are changed.
- The right prayer is still, “Wilt thou not revive us again?”

Satisfied: Twisted Passions—The Eunuch Principle
lundi 30 mars 2026 • Durée 24:56
In this episode, Ryan Swanson revisits Matthew 19 and the often-overlooked teaching of Jesus on the eunuch, bringing clarity to questions raised from the previous discussion on “Another Alternative.” Addressing confusion surrounding same-sex attraction and the absence of natural desires, he presents what he calls the “Eunuch Principle.” Rather than pushing listeners toward premature conclusions about lifelong singleness, the episode emphasizes a simple but powerful truth: singleness, in any season, is a gift meant to be stewarded for wholehearted devotion to Christ.
Topics Discussed- Clarifying Jesus’ teaching on eunuchs in Matthew 19
- The difference between absence of desire and same-sex attraction
- Missteps in church culture regarding marriage expectations
- The concept of being “born” without typical relational desires
- The danger of overanalyzing one’s calling
- The “Eunuch Principle” explained
- Singleness as a gift, not a handicap
- Practical application for teens and young adults
- Trusting God’s timing in relationships and life direction
- Not everyone is called to marriage, and that reality is acknowledged by Jesus Himself
- Some confusion around identity stems from lack of desire, not perverted desire
- The church has sometimes wrongly treated marriage as the only “successful” outcome
- Singleness is not a waiting room, it is a strategic opportunity
- You don’t need to figure out your entire life calling right now
- If you are single today, that is your assignment today
- God leads those who are already moving in obedience
- A life fully devoted to Christ is never wasted, regardless of future outcomes
