Crusades to Trump: A No-Limits Conversation with James McCann
Saison 1 · Épisode 166
samedi 25 avril 2026 • Durée 01:03:23
In this episode of The Winston Marshall Show, I sit down with comedian and writer James McCann for a wide-ranging conversation on religion, culture, politics, and the search for meaning in a rapidly changing world. We begin with his journey into Catholicism, and why he ultimately rejected the Church of England, arguing that modern Anglicanism has become too compromised by cultural trends, political correctness, and a reluctance to defend clear doctrine. McCann explains why he was drawn instead to the structure, tradition, and certainty of Catholicism in an age he sees as increasingly chaotic. The conversation explores the decline of institutions, the collapse of shared values, and the growing sense of cultural and spiritual dislocation among young people. We discuss the rise of online radicalisation, the appeal of extreme ideologies, and why many young men are searching for identity, purpose, and belonging in a fragmented society. We also examine immigration, economic change, and the breakdown of public trust, from housing pressures to the transformation of high streets and the growth of black market economies. The discussion turns to global politics, including the Iran war, just war theory, and the wider crisis of legitimacy facing Western governments.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Our show is independently supported by you, consider signing up to our substack to get added benefits like ad-free and extended episodes here: https://www.winstonmarshall.co.uk/-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I went on Gutfeld and THIS happened...

I went on Fox’s Gutfeld with Greg Gutfeld to talk about Ilhan Omar, corruption, and the insanity of modern politics on both sides of the Atlantic. From Somali-led welfare scams and taxpayer billions, to the media’s bizarre kid-glove treatment of her, we dug into how identity politics shields obvious wrongdoing. We then got into the California gubernatorial race – Katie Porter’s meltdowns on and off camera, Gavin Newsom’s catastrophic record on homelessness (and how he still gets a “B” from Democrats), and the wildly different ways left-wing and right-wing outlets spin the exact same story. Media bias, blind spots, and the importance of seeing every side of the narrative were all on the table. From there, we turned to two-tier justice in America and Britain: cops getting multi-year sentences while actual killers and rapists walk with slaps on the wrist, veterans jailed for Facebook posts, and “protected” groups seemingly playing by different rules. We rounded things off with Greta Thunberg’s infamous “Hamas flotilla,” alleged sex scandals at sea, the policing of jokes and prayer in the UK, and why in some ways Britain is now even more dystopian than New York.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Our show is independently supported by you, consider signing up to our substack to get added benefits like ad-free and extended episodes here: https://www.winstonmarshall.co.uk/-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Matt Ridley - The COLLAPSE Of The Post-War Institutions
samedi 28 mars 2026 • Durée 01:10:18
In this episode of The Winston Marshall Show, I sit down with science writer Matt Ridley for a wide ranging conversation on the collapse of the post war consensus, the crisis of expertise, and the growing distrust in global institutions.
We examine the failure of international organisations, from the WHO to the United Nations, and why the rules based order is now being challenged across the world. Ridley explains how technocratic systems, built after 1945, have become detached from reality, and why top down control has repeatedly failed to account for how complex systems actually work.
The conversation explores the politicisation of science, from Covid origins to climate change, and how institutional incentives, funding pressures, and groupthink can distort the pursuit of truth. We discuss the suppression of debate, the lab leak theory, and the growing perception that scientific authority is being used to defend power rather than question it.
We also debate Net Zero, energy policy, and why Britain’s economic stagnation is increasingly tied to high energy costs, overregulation, and political decision making that prioritises ideology over growth. Ridley outlines how innovation, markets, and technological breakthroughs are transforming the United States, and why the UK risks being left behind.
A deep and challenging conversation about science, power, and whether the institutions that shaped the modern world are now losing the trust of the people they were built to serve.

David Zweig - The Damaged Generation: How Lockdown Damaged 50 Million Children For Life
samedi 26 avril 2025 • Durée 01:08:45
Journalist and author David Zweig joins The Winston Marshall Show to expose one of the greatest scandals of our time—the catastrophic shutdown of America’s schools during COVID.
Zweig reveals how faulty public health planning, political tribalism, and media malpractice led to the closure of schools for over 50 million children—causing untold harm while doing nothing to stop the virus.
He dismantles the myths: no, school closures didn’t protect communities; yes, lockdowns hurt the poorest children the most. From teachers’ unions to the CDC, from Trump’s missteps to Fauci’s failures, Zweig names the names and follows the evidence.
All this—Silent Lunch, the corruption of expert authority, media complicity, and the long-term damage we’re only beginning to understand...

Steve Hilton - The Truth Behind California’s SHOCKING Decline And How It Can Be Saved
mardi 22 avril 2025 • Durée 52:56
Former Fox News host and political strategist Steve Hilton joins The Winston Marshall Show to expose the catastrophic failure of California’s ruling class—and why he’s now running for governor.
Hilton sounds the alarm on the state's sky-high poverty, homelessness, housing costs, and mass exodus. He blames decades of far-left policies, Soros-style “compassionism,” and a corrupt "homeless industrial complex" for gutting California’s promise.
We dive deep into the collapse of public education, the climate extremism destroying the economy, the war on affordable housing, and the madness of shutting down nuclear plants while importing dirty oil on carbon-belching supertankers.
All this...elitism, green Jim Crow, Newsom’s failures, and a battle to rescue the American Dream before it’s too late… #california #democrats #gavinnewsom

Yascha Mounk - The Populism Debate: Is It The Answer or The End of Democracy?
jeudi 17 avril 2025 • Durée 01:17:54
Political scientist Yascha Mounk joins The Winston Marshall Show for a sharp, wide-ranging discussion on the evolution of populism, the crisis of democracy, and the future of America's political coalitions.
Mounk draws a clear line between populism and fascism, warning that even democratically elected movements can veer into dangerous territory—citing Venezuela and Turkey as cautionary tales.
He critiques the failures of modern media, the persistence of woke ideology post-Trump, and the inefficiencies of U.S. foreign aid programs like USAID.
The conversation turns to 2024: Kamala Harris’s faltering coalition, the Republican Party’s pivot toward a multi-racial working-class base, and the growing tension between big donors and Main Street voters.
All this—populism’s promise and peril, woke culture’s staying power, the death of old political norms, and the battle for America’s soul...

Tim Pool - Is America In A New Civil WAR?! And The Return of Political Violence
mardi 15 avril 2025 • Durée 39:48
Tim Pool welcomed The Winston Marshall Show to his West Virginia compound for a high-stakes conversation on civil strife, censorship, and the looming risk of American collapse.
Tim makes the case that the U.S. is already in a Civil strife—escalating from administrative sabotage to sporadic political violence, and warns that the tipping point is near. From Trump’s lawyer arrests to Tesla firebombings, from judges blocking executive power to the targeting of Elon Musk—nothing, he argues, is off the table anymore.
The two dive into the Fourth Turning, the MAGA revolution, and whether Trump could (or should) run for a third term.
All this—populist revolt, Big Tech warfare, Soros-backed chaos, and the war no one wants to name…

Cenk Uygur - “Disaster In The Making!” Trump’s Tariffs, Left Populism and Corporate Rule
samedi 12 avril 2025 • Durée 01:13:08
Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks joins The Winston Marshall Show to rip into Trump’s China tariffs—and the bipartisan rot at the heart of American politics.
He slams the MAGA trade war as clumsy and counterproductive, arguing that broad-brush tariffs will backfire economically and geopolitically. Uygur calls instead for smart, targeted industrial policy—and a higher minimum wage to lift up working Americans.
With trademark fire, Cenk torches corporate capture in both parties, hails economic populists like Ro Khanna and Greg Casar, and urges the left to drop the culture wars and focus on kitchen-table issues: wages, drug prices, and inequality.
All this—populism left and right, Trump’s economic fallout, and the future of honest politics in an era of tribal madness… #trump #tariffs #politics

Senator Eric Schmitt - “Bureaucrats Are Controlling The Courts!” EXPOSING How The System is RIGGED!
mardi 8 avril 2025 • Durée 01:06:10
Missouri Senator Eric Schmitt joins The Winston Marshall Show for a no-holds-barred conversation on the decay of American institutions—from Soros-backed prosecutors to Big Tech censorship.
Schmitt recounts his early battles against "taxation by citation" in Ferguson, exposing how local bureaucrats turned traffic tickets into a cash cow—and how that injustice sparked bipartisan reform.
He lifts the lid on the Soros NGO network, the rise of activist judges, and the collapse of law and order in cities like St. Louis, where violent crime surged while prosecutors turned a blind eye.
The conversation turns to Missouri v. Biden, where Schmitt helped expose government coordination with social media giants to silence dissenting voices on COVID, vaccines, and lockdowns. He blasts the Biden administration’s Disinformation Governance Board as “Orwellian,” and warns that the First Amendment is on life support.
All this—free speech under siege, activist judges, USAID scandals, and the $2 trillion debt crisis no one wants to talk about… #trump #courts #america
