Ep #3: Foundations of Hormones: Everything You Need to Know13 Apr 202300:44:16

In this episode of The Wellfuel Podcast, my colleague Sydney Flippo, MS, RDN joins me to discuss The Foundations of Hormones: Everything You Need to Know.

When people think of hormones, they think of the "big three" - right? Estrogen, Progesterone & Testosterone.
It's a common misconception that hormones only have to do with reproduction & sexual health/wellness - when in fact, hormones are chemical messengers, driving activity and behavior throughout the body.

We're doing a deep dive into:

  • How hormones influence sleep
  • The gut health/hormone connection
  • What the adrenals are and how they affect hormonal health
  • What environmental factors & items to avoid to maintain or improve hormonal health (you're going to be surprised at some of these!)

And yes, we are going to talk about those "big three" hormones mentioned above - and how to better understand them and their functions. They're not the bad guys they're often made out to be!
