This is it. Season finale and it's gut-wrenching. Prepare yourselves.
Goliath meets Poppy over the phone and it's bittersweet. We learn about Tora's fear of spiders, and Poppy asks if they're brothers. Turns out... they're TWINS. This explains so much.
Dawn has arrived. Goliath's captor comes. Tora and Poppy clutch each other as the worst happens. Goliath goes out happy that after a life of betrayal, he did one thing right for his brother.
Tora tells Poppy about Goliath and seeks a cigarette, but Poppy wants to distract him by climbing on his lap.
We switch scenes to Tracker #6. The jerk on the train apparently has been following them and is reporting to Cat Lady, also known as Courtney.
And Courtney is reporting to... none other than CORDELIA, who calls Poppy "young mistress." !!!
What a season finale! What heartbreaking and shocking twists!
We discuss Goliath's character and his and Tora's relationship in depth, and freak out and are generally sad.

As Poppy showers, Tora receives a call.
IT'S GOLIATH.
Tora is in shock and asks him where he is. Goliath says he's in Malibu, but it's clear he's very far away and in a dingy jail cell.
He looks out the window and sees the incoming dawn. We can all guess what that means.
Tora wants to come get him, but all Goliath wants to do is say he's sorry. He is moved to learn that Tora came to get him that day that he called.
We flashback to Tora's memory of how Goliath ratted him out and got him imprisoned in return for a clear record and wishful thinking. He visits Tora in jail and is completely oblivious and unrepentant.
Years later, he comes to pick up Tora, very far removed from the clean civilian lawyer he said he would be.
We discuss Goliath's personality and Tora and Goliath's relationship.

Tora shocks Poppy and readers with his guitar playing and singing skills. He lets his feelings show and Poppy sees them, reaching to comfort him. He asks if Quincey told her what he does, and she says she does. Tora is incredulous that she is still there. So incredulous that he traps her underneath him and proceeds to kiss her senseless.
Poppy thinks about Tora's potential punishment and begins to spiral and ask him random questions before bursting into tears. Tora thinks she is worried for herself, but then she drops the L bomb: "I love you, Tora."
Tora immediately thinks of his impending doom and the pain his mother experienced, and withdraws. He then rejoins with cutting words and we are left there.

I had the pleasure of chatting with #NetflixWitcher actor and second assistant editor, Nathanial Jacobs.
We talked about how he got to where he is now, including a very embarrassing early acting experience, and how he came to work for #TheWitcher. Nathanial shared fun behind-the-scenes from the set and also explained his fascinating job in the editing room, including his work (there was a sock involved) on the Witcher trailer!
We went through some fun Witcher related questions and ended with more personal questions about role models and advice.

Quincy tries to force Poppy into a very sexy maid outfit, and ends up being punished to wear it instead, along with some humiliating signs. He struggles not to slap Poppy's butt as she did to him, and we discuss his attraction to Poppy and what it means.
After dinner, Tora and Quincy discuss the mafia situation, and Poppy is so taken by Tora's competence that she drools.
Damien is guarding Erdene (with all of his heart), and Gyu is with Jacob.
Yadori shows Nicholas and his gang a photo of Poppy that he got from Scharch, telling them that she has the notebook. Theory time!
In turn, they show Yadori a picture of Tora and Poppy. Uh-oh.
Poppy decides she wants to return Tora's favor by working as a housekeeper, to which Quincy responds with an odd gleam in his eye. Tora returns with an ominous face and pulls out Gil's files. We see that Gyu texted him that none other than Yadori and his crew have been by Poppy's apartment.
Poppy spends all day cleaning and then runs looking for Tora to tell him something. They're about to have a moment when scheming Quincy comes in, with a Cheshire grin, holding something special for Poppy...
Purple Hyacinth 119: Savvy Spy (with Bundin and Fwoot)

Turns out we fans aren't the only ones suspecting Dakan and Tristan (ok, we cleared him) of Phantom Scythe involvement. Lisbeth, Stephan, Mr. Goatee, and Albert Einstein also do. Aaaaand in an ironic twist, Stephan is royal spymaster. We discuss some theories concerning Raphael and Stephan.
There are more than enough spies to go around. Wouldn't you know, Neyra was in a secret passageway, spying on the the meeting through a hole in King Edward's eye? Cute little Arthur finds her and we do some more theorizing.
Neyra relates all this to Dakan and Tristan, after which Dakan shows Tristan some croissants Lauren supposedly baked. Mindy is suspicious but the others think Lauren has a secret hobby.
Lauren, meanwhile, has gone to the circus, and is remembering the fortune she was told. We do even more theorizing (what would PH be without theorizing?) and then enjoy the sight of Kieran blowing bubbles and making sexual jokes. Lauren then does NOT enjoy the prospect of dressing up!
Purple Hyacinth 118: Valuable Visitor (with Fwoot and Joy)

The APD is pulling overtime shifts; Kym is working hard and Will is being oddly supportive, going so far as to make a joke! This gets the overtired Kym apoplectic, and Will drags her to the infirmary, where they share a meaningful conversation.
Kym talks about the Phantom Scythe's goals and methods, and Will worries about his family being the PS's next target, the perfect opportunity for us to do some speculation. Kym comforts him and we share a totally shippy moment.
More shippiness comes when we see Tristan looking at a family picture where their old friends, our primary suspects, are all gathered together. We cross Tristan off the sus list, speculate about Stefan, and discover a mysterious guest waiting downstairs... none other than Fwoot's beloved future girlfriend Neyra Elana Darcy!
Purple Hyacinth 117: Personal Promises (with Emily C and Lily)

The patrol unit walks through a protest, and Lauren feels faint. Will notices, and wants her to take care of herself because, as he emotionally unburdens himself, he can't handle being the only one left. Lauren gives him a well deserved hug.
Walking through the protest is blue-haired pronouns, whom we discover is called Ms. Green and is an actress/screenwriter. We stan.
Meanwhile, the leader and Apostle IV are discussing both Apostle VII and Kieran, both of whom are on thin ice.. The leader lets us in to a little bit of his history and discloses that he has plans for Kieran.
We theorize as to the leader's identity and his plans for Kieran.

Poppy ruminates over Tora's kindness, and opens the door expecting him but getting a sunny faced Quincy, who asks about the food outside.
When they notice the maybe ghost (Ulaan and Yuwa? Tora? Intruder?) has written "Go," they offer it more palatable food and ingratiate themselves to it.
Tora, thoughtfully installing solar lights in the garden, watches them and thinks wistfully of how their first encounter would have gone had he not been in the mafia. His heart-tugging reverie is interrupted by an ominous text, which causes him to skedaddle out of there.
