A Spacious Year: My 2024 Word & Yearly Reflections20 Dec 202300:49:09

It's the annual reflective episode where I dive deep into how my word of the year served me for this past year and looking forward to setting intentions and receiving a new word of the year for 2024!

Even though I have taken a step back from creating content, I really didn't want to miss this tradition. So, in this episode:

  • I catch you up on my life and plans for 2024
  • I reflect on this past year using my favourite reflective tools and talk about how my 2023 word 'devotion' has served as a red thread
  • I talk about how the word 'space' will probably be my 2024 word and the intentions that this word offers me too

I hope you have a wonderful end to the year and start to the new year. I want to thank you SO deeply for being here and sticking around, it means the world!

Hi Saturn Return: Turning 29.5 & Absolute Recalibration22 Oct 202300:19:58

I've officially entered my Saturn Return and, totally *on brand*, I've been going through many shifts! In this episode, I talk about what Saturn return means and how it's affecting me right now. I muse on why I'm taking a step back from entrepreneurship, how for the first time in my life I don't need to know what's next (or plan it) and how my creativity is pouring back in.

This episode is a little different than usual, as it is me reading out loud my first ever Substack piece. I love writing, always have and probably always will, and this new venture feels very exciting. Make sure you don't miss a thing - not every Substack piece will be turned into a podcast or vice versa (most likely), so subscribe to both (if you're not already) and receive my (irregular) musings automatically. What Turns Wild Girls into Good Girls?31 May 202300:45:48

Join Goodbye Good Girl - my brand new programme with lifetime access to weekly, monthly and seasonal inspiration & guidance!  Cart is open until June 2nd.

A big part of inner child work IMO is reflecting on where, how and when your inner wildness was conditioned into good-girl-energy. In this episode, I reflect on my own take on this and how we can potentially bring our consciousness to the next generation too.

I talk about...
1. How fear, guilt and shame are external factors we internalise as the framework of our inner good girl.
2. How we can redefine 'good' and 'bad', perhaps especially when it comes to emotions and how we feel about ourselves.
3. Why community is a key part in breaking through blockages and connecting back to the inner wild.

You're deeply invited to join us inside Goodbye Good Girl - my brand new programme in which we journey together on this healing and empowerment journey. This programme is set up so that you never again have to feel alone on your path - and you can journey at your own pace and in your own way through it all too. Join us for this enrolment and you get lifetime access to all the workshops, mentoring sessions, and community aspects inside.

Prioritising Self Care & Aligning with your Female Cycle ~ w/ Moika of Ike Uwa21 Aug 202000:46:06

For today’s podcast, I (virtually) sat down with Moika, founder of platform Ike Uwa, meaning the healing power of nature. Moika is a self love advocate and spaceholder, combining her passion for self care with her knowledge on the female cycle.

In this episode, we talk about the importance of making self care our number one priority! We discuss how you can align yourself with your female cycle more and how that invites a more conscious and intentional way of living too. We discuss hustle culture, self care amidst a global pandemic and BLM-conversations.

Throughout this conversation, Moika moves us from a disconnected, overwhelmed state to a place of recognition, grounding and inspiration.

To connect to our cycles is to connect to the seasons of the earth - and there’s a whole lot of empowerment in that!

Embracing Change, Flow & All Versions Of Ourselves07 Aug 202000:57:54

How can we fully embrace change? How can we honour all versions (past, present, future) of ourselves whilst also feeling into flow?

In this podcast episode, I share with you the changes I’m currently feeling into (hello new house!) and how I try to navigate them as authentically as I can. I reflect on the idea of manifestation and surrender and how I’ve been feeling into a deeper meaning of those things. I share the fears coming up around this new step and the HUGE sign I received that showed me I can trust this new step of my life!

I recorded this episode before I got the keys to my new apartment and - as I’m typing this I’m deep into the moving process - I am SO happy I did. I love how podcasts are snapshots of your life in that moment and this episode is no exception.

So how can be embrace change and all versions of ourselves? Through reflection, embodiment and self love! And those are ALL things I will hold space for you in during our online retreat on 22-23 August. I themed this retreat FLOW because I think to FLOW in life is to live an empowered life, on your own terms, with a deeply rooted trust that you’re held and supported in the learning process.

You’re the Alchemist of Your Own Life ~ w/ Nicola of Sunday Sage30 Jul 202000:50:49

I virtually met Nicola McGregor of the platform Sunday Sage about a year ago around a time when both of us were miserable in our 9-5 jobs and yearning for change. Fast forward a year and here we are, both building our business rooted in spirituality and empowerment and creating a life on our own terms! We connected on a deep level back then, both knowing life had so much more in store for us, and we have been able to be a support system for each other in those changing times in the past year.

I am so excited to have had the opportunity to talk to Nicola all about her choices of the past year(s) and how that has resulted in her created a new reality for herself. We discuss the meaning behind Sunday Sage and what influence Reiki has had on Nicola’s journey. We bring in how breaking free from the expected life’s path has been and the influence of social media on this! Nicola also brings in the idea of ‘personal leadership’ in her work and we talk about how we can bring more of that into our feminine, intuition-led lives.

Grab your favourite cup of tea because this is such a cozy episode in which we talk all about what it means to become an alchemist of your own life. How empowering does that sound right??

There’s No Rising Without Discomfort: Growth Edges & How You Can Navigate Them24 Jul 202000:44:28

2020 is definitely THE year of growth edges for most of us - myself included. In general, I do find that in conversations with you all, I meet you at a crossroads of fear and rising, of retreating and growth. In my experience, we cannot rise without discomfort. We cannot find empowerment and true happiness without constantly pushing ourselves and feeling into the excitement of new things instead of living the way we have always known.

So, in this episode, I explore what it means to sit in discomfort and navigate growth edges. We can experience many different types of growth (spiritual/work-related/relational/etc.) but in the end, we experience growth because we’re human living on planet earth, where nothing is ever stagnant and change is the only constant! So how do we approach these growth edges? How do we hold ourselves in the process of discomfort?

I also talk about my personal growth edges of this year so far, including my experiences in and of Bali, my new-found entrepreneurship and my redefinition of ‘home’. I hope it serves as inspiration and support for you and the growth edges you find yourself in at the moment!

F#ck Finding Your Purpose & Embrace Intentional Living17 Jul 202000:48:46

There’s a lot to do around ‘finding your purpose’, especially in the spiritual self-development world. I believe it stems from the desire for a more connected, fulfilling life and to break out of the restricting and stagnant systems of society. And I have felt this (and feel this still) too! However, I think it’s time to debunk the myth that this is something you need to seek outside of yourself. What if our purpose is already living within us, ready to be uncovered? What if our purpose in life is to raise our consciousness by choosing things that excite and expand us, over and over again? What if there’s nothing tangible to make of that but it’s simply a way of living you need to adopt?

In this episode, I explore the idea of finding your purpose and how I think there’s a lot of pressure that comes with that phrase. I also talk about how intentional living is its counterpart. The idea of finding your purpose or calling is capitalised by the industries that profit off of selling the idea that there’s something missing or broken in your life or personality. Intentional or slow living, to me, shows me that following the breadcrumbs of excitement and finding stillness and awareness in this process is the true calling of humankind. Lean into the trust that everything is unfolding as it should - this will give the space for your soul’s calling to come through, from within. Trust truly is the most empowering thing you can give yourself.

Calling In A Spiritual Money Mindset10 Jul 202000:56:03

I am so excited to talk about one of my favourite topics ever - MONEY! Why do we hate it? Why do we shame it? And how can we call in a HEALTHY relationship with money which includes spirituality too?

In this episode, I tell you all I have learned so far about abundance, scarcity and our relationship with money in relation to that. When we see money as an energy flow, we also need to acknowledge that it needs to move and that we will always attract it and give it out.
This to me was the first step in changing my view on money. The second was to get critical on my limiting beliefs: do I actually think I am worthy of receiving money and spending it too? Can I make money living my dreams? Is it abundantly available around me, FOR me?

What truly helps is creating mantras enforcing your gratitude for it and reflect on how money has worked for you in the past and what it can do for you in the future.

These are just a few of the tips and tools I share with you in this episode. Please let me know what my words and views brought up for you. I believe that only by healing our relationship with money we can fully empower ourselves. This too is the work that needs to be done in order to break through patriarchy and other systems of oppression that hold us back on our journey. So feel into that abundant energy around you and take steps to a healthy relationship with the good ol’ dollar bill! You are worthy of it all.

Practicing Radical Empathy in the Anti-Racist Discourse & the Importance of Intersectionality ~ w/ Sadia Masud
24 Jun 202001:33:42

Important note: Sadia and I decided to push back our recording for a few weeks when the conversation around Black Lives Matter started to gain momentum - to not just give space to black voices, but also to pause and reflect on our own place within the discussion. In this way, we believe we were able to come onto this podcast recording with a better understanding of the current discourse.

-

I met my incredibly inspiring friend Sadia Masud 6 years ago, in Canada, in a Race & Ethnicity class at the University of Alberta where we both studied back then (I was there for a semester!). Sadia has always inspired me in terms of sisterhood, female strength, compassion and so much more. Since forever we’ve been wanting to record a podcast together to speak about her activism, writing talents and personal experiences of life and I am so incredibly happy to present you this episode.

We talk about the meaning of identity and how for the BIPOC community specifically, identity is often seen as something in relation to someone else’s (e.g. you’re ‘not’ white), instead as an individual. We talk about the importance of awareness of privilege - of course, it is relative, but the majority of us carry some type of privilege with us. Sadia calls to seek discomfort in this work and states that, ‘you can’t be a good activist if you seek to just liberate yourself’. YES! I couldn’t agree more.

It calls in the idea of Radical Empathy, which calls on the resilience of the BIPOC community and our interconnected communities as well as the urgent need for awareness and action.

On this podcast in general, we talk about liberation in terms of womanhood. I truly believe that all systems of oppression are rooted in patriarchy (be it white supremacy and thus racism, sexism, capitalism, etc.). However, it is also extremely important to be aware of the intersections that take place for all of us. My experience as a white, heterosexual, able-bodied woman with a university degree is very different than Sadia’s, who identifies as Muslim,Canadian with South-Asian and Middle-Eastern descend and, with wearing her hijab, being part of the visible minority community. And of course, there are countless examples like these. Sadia mentions the Combahee River Collective as one of her inspirations to become aware of intersectionality. I speak about the White Feminism lecture by Rachel Cargle which speaks about white privilege in the feminist movement.

Sadia’s book will celebrate the resilience in and diversity of minority communities. It aims to give BIPOC a voice. Read Sadia’s essay ‘Taken Over by the West’ which inspired her to work on this book. Sadia also recommends ‘Sick Woman Theory’ by Johanna Hedva to dive deeper into the concept of Radical Empathy.

I know this is only the start for this podcast of more inclusive, reflective conversations around these topics. I hope this episode instigates you to think about your role in this conversation and about ways to commit to activism. As Sadia mentions, ‘activism isn’t just about outward change but also about creating inward change’. The two need to co-exist to practice active activism and create actual change, not just for yourself but for others as well. Practicing self-care should be an important part of this as well. In the end, I believe we are all connected, so change needs to happen in order to raise the collective vibration. We need to seek the discomfort to make it comfortable for every single one of us.

Sadia - I know you read this ;) - thank you for being such a bright, shining light in my life. I admire your strength, your compassion, your beliefs and your activism. Meeting you six years ago was a blessing back then and it is grown to be an even bigger blessing in the years following our time at Alberta University. I can’t wait to see your next year and celebrate your wedding with you.

And for everyone else - please let me know what you thought of this episode. What triggered it in you, what resonated, what did it enlighten for you? Let’s keep the conversation going!

Food Freedom & Healing Your Body Image ~ w/ Eden Thaler19 Jun 202001:13:45

Eden Thaler is a Food Freedom coach - guiding people in their relationship to food, body image and self love. For her, healing her food issues was the start of her personal development and spiritual journey.

I knew that at some point I wanted to talk about these topics but I didn’t want to approach it on my own, especially because these topics can be so triggering and personal, which is why I’m so happy I got to have this insightful and empowering conversation with Eden.

In this episode, we talk about what food freedom means and how our relationship to food can be so all-consuming. We discuss our inherent worth as human beings and women and the generational trauma that we carry around. Eden talk about how meditation and other tools has helped her heal and I feel into how such tools bring us back to our most true self. We also talk about femininity and womanhood and how our body image is key to connecting to ourselves.

Going within and lifting the shame - it’s only one of the many nuggets of wisdom that Eden shares with us in this episode.
I’m aware this topic can be triggering for some (or many) of us. I hope you feel held in this conversation, and never hesitate to reach out to Eden or myself about this if it did strike a chord with you. Love you!

Taking Care of Yourself Amidst Global Crises11 Jun 202000:45:40

In this very spontaneous and un-edited episode, I talk about taking care of yourself and your mental health amidst these heavy, strange times. Not only are we in the middle of a pandemic still, and most of us also still in lockdown and are we engaging in the intense and important conversations surrounding Black Lives Matter, but it’s also eclipse season (plus a bunch of retrogrades and all of that…).

We are literally being asked astrologically to slow down, surrender and let the Universe do her thang, whilst on the other hand we are being asked to engage in protest & debate, whilst on ANOTHER hand (I mean, we only have two!) the pandemic is still demanding most of us to live our lives differently than we used to. Phew, it’s a lot.

And it’s okay to feel like this is a lot.

I hope that from this episode you’ll take away that if you don’t rest, you also cannot fight. In the words of @feministsexed, ‘Rest is not the enemy of change. It is one part of its fuel’.
I also talk about Rachel Cargle in this episode (see her website and her Instagram). Plus, I mention April Harter’s @racismrecoverycenter.

More resources will be shared as I engage in conversation with friends and colleagues on these topics.

My intention with this podcast and the Spiritual Fem community moving forward is to emphasise their inclusivity and diversity whilst also acknowledging that it is founded and run by me, someone who experiences privileges from many angles. That’s okay - it just means I have all the more reason to step up and also use this platform to help other women step up too.

I invite you to ask yourself ‘what is it that I need right now?’ more often moving forward. I truly believe that’s at the root of honouring who we are and all we can do to make the world a better place.

Growing Pains on your Spiritual Path24 May 202300:24:35

Join Goodbye Good Girl - my brand new programme with lifetime access to weekly, monthly and seasonal inspiration & guidance!  Cart is open until June 2nd.

This spiritual life isn’t easy - it’s a conscious choice and also something you can’t really back out of once you find yourself this path. So much about this discovery journey is about growith, and with that, comes the discomfort of getting out of your comfort zone. So if you find yourself in a phase of growing pains, with your nervous system being activated and the ground underneath you quite shaky, this one's for you.

I talk about...
1. The three main ways in which you can experience growing pains: when shadow work comes up but you don't feel ready, when you know you need to start setting boundaries and bring your new-found beliefs to the outside world, and navigating a vulnerability hangover and an activated nervous system.
2. How to hold yourself through these growing pains: with acceptance, a holistic and compassionate approach, consciously seeking joy whenever you can and leaning into the support of a community too.
3. My new programme Goodbye Good Girl and how I believe you should never have to navigate the hard parts of your spiritual journey alone!

I hope this episode inspires you to be really kind and patient with yourself as you navigate these shaky grounds. Know that this is a big part of your journey and you're so brave to sit in the discomfort and taking it one step at the time. You got this sister, and you're truly never alone! x

Owning Your Spirituality & Reclaiming Your Truth Online ~ w/ Kalyn Nicholson20 May 202000:58:11

I met Kalyn during our Yoga Teacher Training in Bali ~ and we instantly connected over tarot cards, our experience of the online world and the idea of sisterhood. To be honest, I think our souls have been connected for a very long time, we only needed to physically meet still!

In this episode, we chat about Kalyn’s spiritual journey, what spirituality means to her, how she experienced our intense YTT experience in Bali and having to come home.
We dive deep into her journey in reclaiming her spirituality and truth, both online and offline. She mentions how spirituality for her means a strong connection to the Universe.
We also discuss her moving into adulthood online and the pressures she felt with that. She is super honest about navigating a more conscious creating through a strong sense of rootedness within. It has allowed her to move out of a mindset rooted in fear and scarcity ~ something in which therapy has helped a lot for her.

I get curious about her favourite spiritual practices (hint: slowing down has a lot do with it!) and how she navigates being vulnerable online, on which she says, “through our vulnerability and imperfection, we create space for others to be human too”.
Ahhh, there is SO MUCH in this episode!

The way in which Kalyn navigates mental health, spirituality & life is truly inspirational (in my very-biased-opinion). We met each other amidst the crazy discomfort the world finds itself in right now & I am so grateful that she very quickly has become one of my close friends in this crazy world of online entrepreneurship. I truly feel we captured the energy of our deep dives in Bali too, which I’m so excited to share with you.

From Doing to Being, Living Your Purpose & Coaching Women ~ w/ Emilia Francesca19 May 202000:59:42

I met Emilia in Bali and knew from the minute we started chatting she had so much beautiful wisdom inside of her. Emilia Francesca is an entrepreneur, coach and all-round bad-ass inspiriatrice in my humble opinion! I was so happy when she agreed to come on the podcast to talk about women’s coaching, navigating life and so much more.

In this episode, we dive deep into living your purpose (and how to find that), going within, finding stillness and softness in the process and how to listen to your intuition. Emilia mentions how allowing yourself to lean back can actually give yourself all the answers you’re looking for. You don’t always need to do the work ‘actively’! We talk about being fully present in the ‘now’ and finding stability in our inner world.

I

LOVE that the conversation went into softness and stillness. I see Emilia as a super ambitious, driven woman who knows her stuff, and I wasn’t expecting us to feel into the other side of that as well. I left this conversation feeling inspired to both find some time to rest as well as to work on new projects, and I love how both sides of this coin can co-exist.

Cultivating Self-Trust Through Rooting Down12 May 202001:09:47

In this episode, I talk you through everything that is currently going on in my life. I guide you through a meditation, I pull cards with you, chat about my morning rituals and routines and how I’ve been connecting to nature. I have been finding a sense of rootedness which I have never truly felt before living here in the Netherlands - so interesting!

This rootedness and, consequently, this deeper connection to myself, made me feel into manifestation more. What is it that I would like from life this year? How can I call this in? I have been visualizing my dream home and feelings around that and through that something clicked into place.
A deep trust in that everything will unfold for my highest good came up and hasn’t left me since. This also allowed me to release certain limiting beliefs around my money mindset (which is an ongoing process!).

Please let me know what resonated with you and what you’d like me to dive deeper into as well!

~ In this episode, I mention BiddyTarot.com for tarot explanations.

I pull from:

Spirits & Guides: How to Connect and Trust ~ w/ Sophie Jongejan05 May 202001:13:00

Since our last recording in October, I struck up a friendship with the beautiful Sophie from The Place, an online and offline space for spiritual moments and connections.
I talk to her a lot about spirits and guides and she always inspires me to deepen my connection with the spirit world. In both of our online communities, we see a huge number of you also being interested in building these relationships, which is why I asked Sophie to come on the podcast again to chat about it all.

We discuss what spirits actually are, how you can find out who your guides are and how to connect with them. We also discuss the stigma around this part of spirituality, if it’s dangerous to connect with the spirit world and where our imagination comes in. What is reality? Does it matter? Do we make our own reality?

Sophie offers intuitive readings in which she connects with your guides and uses oracle and tarot decks to channel their messages.
Check out her website for all the information and her Instagram for more spiritual offerings.

In this episode, we talk about the book Signs by Laura Jackson.

Intuition: How I Use My Female Powerhouse to Connect Body, Mind & Soul 28 Apr 202000:43:52

Intuition is such a huge topic in the spiritual community. What is it? How can we cultivate a relationship with it?
I find these questions so difficult to answer, since it’s such an intangible ‘thing’. However, it’s also the most powerful tool we have within us to make decisions and stand in our power. To me, it is an integral part of my feminism and spirituality, which is why I'm talking about it more in-depth in this episode!

We have not been taught to listen to our intuition. Conscious reasoning is favoured in our patriarchal society - facts, stuff we can see and explain and have a linear pattern. The cyclical, emotional and intuitive side of us has been silenced for centuries.

Uncovering our intuition can therefore be an uncomfortable process. It often means going out of the comfort zone we know.

However, I truly believe that amidst the discomfort, you can meet your wildest, truest, most authentic self. Your female power, with limitless possibilities.

I think this episode is only the start of our chat on intuition - there is SO much more to say but it is definitely a dialogue. Let me know what came up for you in this episode. What is your relationship with intuition? How do you connect with her? Please reach out, I’d love to connect!

Live Your Human Design & Embrace Who You Are ~ w/ Olivia Iasonos21 Apr 202001:31:30

In this episode I talk to Olivia Iasonos about Human Design, a topic I have wanted to dive deeper into for a long time. What is it? How can we use it for ourselves?

Sidenote: we use my personal chart as an example throughout the episode.

I loved this conversation with Liv, who goes really deep into Human Design and how you can see it as a tool to uncover your uniqueness. Human Design sheds light on our energetic, spiritual, psychological and emotional make-up. Drawing wisdom from many philosophies, this tool allows us to go on a journey of self-discovery.

Human Design knows particular (non-)energy types, and in this episode Liv explains them all. We also chat about how Human Design came into the world, how she came into contact with it and how we can read the rest of our chart, such as our Authority and Profile (it’s more than just your energy type!).

Liv mentions the book ‘Way of the peaceful warrior’ by Dan Millman.

Of course we are only scratching the surface here because there is SO much to Human Design! This episode really opened my eyes to that and I love how this tool focusses on alignment, uncovering your truth and living your most authentic you. As Liv said, ‘No one’s designed to operate from the mind’. I love how Human Design emphasises this connection to our intuition and I definitely feel called to dive much deeper into my chart now :)

Burning Woman by Lucy H Pearce: Rekindle your Fire, Take up Space & Join Sisters throughout Her-Story13 Apr 202000:43:30

In this episode, I discuss the amazingly powerful work Burning Woman, written by Lucy H Pearce.
I discuss a couple of chapters in the beginning and at the end, leaving space to read the work yourself and gather your own thoughts and ideas.
I think this book will trigger a lot in every woman reading it, which is what it did to me and why I wanted to discuss it on the podcast.

Lucy lays bare the painful his-/her-story of women’s relationship with fire.
The continuous collective threat and fear is deeply rooted in our nervous system. Fear of what? The fear of being labeled a bad girl. Bad girls get burned. Literally and metaphorically. This is why as women collectively we are kept small, and we keep ourselves small. Think about the word ‘heresy’ as an example. Her-e-say. Her Say. RIGHT?!

This book discusses the sisterhood wound, about taking up space, and mainly about reclaiming our inner burning woman. The woman who listens to her burning passions. Who knows that in the past (at least in the Western world) she would have gotten burned for her power and her beliefs but now she can reclaim her power and burn brightly from within.

I’d love to know your thoughts on this episode, what triggered you and what resonated (or both!) and if you’d like to pick up this book yourself now too.

I also wrote an article on this archetype and book for Roots & Wings Magazine. Check out their website to order your copy of the first edition, which features my article alongside other incredible texts by inspiring women (including Lucy H. Pearce herself!).

Navigating Disappointment & Resilience Whilst Everything Is Uncertain06 Apr 202000:54:24

How do we navigate disappointment amidst a time where everything is uncertain? How do we handle heaviness & insecurity in a society that is riddled with anxiety? And how do we practice gratitude and remain a sense of perspective through this all?

I was inspired by an article I read to record an episode about how I’m currently navigating life ~ which is definitely not looking like I thought it would!
Coming back from Bali, I have now been able to finish my YTT! This helped to heal the emotional + spiritual wound I brought with me from the other side of the world. Becoming a yoga teacher is a dream come true and made me realise life, amidst the chaos, is not so bad after all.

However, closing that circle also made space for the disappointment I felt about how everything regarding my travels went. I try to welcome these feelings in, in order to heal them. The article said, ‘You can never miss out on anything. Everything is happening as it should’. Reading this, I realised that surrendering into this moment is all I can do. The article also said, ‘If you stop searching for what should have been, you can be found by what is actually there’. No more ‘could have’ or ‘what if’, but feeling into this moment as I’m right where I’m supposed to be.

How are you navigating these uncertain times? I would love to know. Reach out on Instagram or via email. We’re all in this together! x

Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert: Creative Living Beyond Fear & With a Touch of Mysticism31 Mar 202000:59:25

In this episode I talk about one of my favourite books of all time: Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert. This text has shown me time and again (and still does!) that creativity is a co-creation with the universe. The mysticism of creative ideas and endeavours never ceases to amaze me, and Elizabeth’s words make the process all the more special.

I believe everyone is creative. Whether that is singing, painting, writing OR decorating your home, finding a new road to work etc. Everything in life is creativity. Therefore, you are already working with this universal energy.

Elizabeth explains it like this: ideas are energy (or a disembodied life-form) and they decide to pay you a visit because they want to be made manifest by you. You have the choice to engage with the idea. If you decide to do so, it is now your (amazing) responsibility to do the idea justice. Create, whether you feel inspired or not. Create and the process will transform you. Have the courage to say yes - and see what magic will unfold.
Opening ourselves up to creativity is the biggest rebellion & success in itself.

Let me know if you have read this book and how it changed YOUR perspective on life. If you haven’t read it yet, I’d love to know if this episode sparked anything in you. Get in touch!

The Bali Diaries #3: Starting My YTT & Having To Go Home23 Mar 202001:14:51

Not recording the last Bali Diaries in Bali is strange, but my reality right now! Considering everything that is currently happening in the world, I had no choice but to come home. My YTT got postponed two weeks in, and along the way my mental and physical health had been suffering as well.

It’s almost strange to say that I feel pretty okay with being back in the Netherlands. It’s a huge surrender-experiment, but I also know deep down this is exactly where I’m supposed to be right now.

In this episode, I answer your questions about my Yoga Teacher Training and talk about how I experienced the first two weeks of this intense programme. We will be finishing our course online in the very near future, after which I can call myself a yoga teacher, woohoo!

I also talk about my travels in general, how my mental health suffered in the past few weeks, how I got physically ill and how that affected my body image, and ah, so much more. I basically talk to you like I’d write in my journal.

I hope there’s resonance and support in my words. These past 7 weeks of traveling have not been easy, and saying that brings some shame with it as well. I hope by being honest and transparent about it all, it helps me gaining confidence and helps you in turn too.

Let’s stay grounded and connected during these crazy times. I think it’s all we can do.

Unravelling the Spiritual Feminist Archetype17 May 202300:29:07

Join Goodbye Good Girl - my brand new programme with lifetime access to weekly, monthly and seasonal inspiration & guidance! A 20% discount code is valid until May 23rd. Cart is open until June 2nd.

As an energy, our inner Spiritual Feminist is the ultimate wild woman, the ultimate witch, the ultimate divine feminine archetype. It speaks to the necessary intersection between feminism (and activism) and spirituality (and conscious living). Leaning into this archetype can help us break free from the chains of our inner Good Girl and bring us towards a more aligned and authentic way of living. In this episode, I explore the different ways in which we can reconnect with (and reclaim!) our inner Spiritual Feminist.

I talk about…
1. What the Spiritual Feminist archetype means to me and what reclaiming the Witch, creating space for the Wild Woman, and calling in the Dark Feminine have to do with this.
2. Honouring that this reclamation gets to be an ongoing journey and how my inner Good Girl still crops up too.
3. How you can allow your inner Spiritual Feminist to support and inspire you on this journey just as it does for me!

I hope this episode inspires you to uncover empowering energy within you, and makes you realise that your inner Spiritual Feminist has been there all along. It's simply about releasing the layers of conditioning that make you believe it's not! And remember: my programme Goodbye Good Girl can help you with this too! The Bali Diaries #2: What 3 Days in Silence, 40 Mosquito Bites and 1 Mystical Dog Taught Me (so far)29 Feb 202001:01:54

What happens when you are silent and offline for three days?!
In this episode, I tell you all about my Bali adventures after Kerry left. In those two weeks, I have felt anxious, insecure, nervous but also empowered, on fire and very high vibe.

After a lot of insightful moments in different parts of Bali, I spent three days at Bali Silent Retreat. It was both a beautiful closure of a triggering time and the start of a journey to a more empowered me. I am so humbled and happy to be able to share the raw and unfiltered parts of this journey with you.

I talk about my time leading up to the Silent Retreat, where I saw a healer, spent a few days in a remote village where it rained the entire time I was there, and where I wrote the first letter to my inner child.

During the Silent Retreat, I felt so nurtured and held by myself. I realised how much I’d been relying on other people’s affirmations and validations for my own voice and could gently move away from that. Little did I know that that was the most liberating experience I could have ever given myself!

If you’re interested in the Bali Silent Retreat, check out their website.

Ayurveda for Empowerment, Compassion & Balance ~ w/ Julia Blohberger21 Feb 202001:24:57

For this episode, I sat down with Ayurvedic expert and Yogi Julia Blohberger. For a long time I’ve been interested in Ayurveda and what that can mean for my diet and lifestyle, and I am so happy and grateful that I was able to pick Julia’s brain on all things Doshas, elements, tongue-scraping and oil pulling!

Ayurveda is an ancient wisdom and lifestyle which shows us we are all unique beings - and how can we find balance in that along the way. We talk about finding compassion and self-love and how Ayurveda encourages a softer way of living.
Julia describes our connection to the five elements before diving deep into the three doshas (‘constitution types’): Kapha, Pita and Vata.
I ask her how we can live more in balance with the seasons and thus ourselves and she explains the good and ‘bad’ qualities of each dosha (which explain us how we can find that balance!).

From ceramic meditation bowls (LOL) to adjusting our gaze in yoga, and from traveling to oil pulling on your bike (WHAT?), Julia tells us ALL.

This is really a powerful and deep episode where you might want to write a few things down along the way. It is packed with soooo much wisdom!

This conversation showed me how accessible Ayurveda is and how small adjustments really do go a long way. It’s all about honouring yourself, the people around you as well as the animals, and nature which are all part of Mother Earth.

Let us know if you do the test and tell us which type you are and if you can relate to that!

~ Follow Julia on Instagram: @julia_blohberger and check out her website: https://www.juliablohberger.com. A comprehensive guide on the three doshas can be found on her blog. Check this test to see which dosha you lean towards more!

The Bali Diaries #1 w/ Kerry ~ on Inward and Outward Journeys through Kirtan, Cacao & Meeting Each Other15 Feb 202001:11:57

I am in Bali! I met my soul sister in real life! It is all happening!

On our last full day together, Kerry and I sat down to record what is probably the most intuitive episode I have ever done. We talk about our travels together as well as apart, the spiritual world in Bali, triggers and sisterly love.

Kerry spent a month in Borneo before she came to Bali, where she volunteered with orang-utans. It was a life-changing experience for her in more ways than one. At the same time, I needed some time when I arrived in Bali to ground and feel myself again. Mama Bali does not mess around with her energy and lessons!

We talk about the sound healing at Pyramids of Chi we went to, as well as the full moon kirtan & cacao ceremony we attended. Both were incredible in their own way, and we have similar as well as different experiences with them. We agree that the power of kirtan and gathering lies in losing yourself in such a way that you meet and find yourself completely.

In this episode, we pull from the Wild Kuan Yin Oracle Deck (pocket sized edition). Check out my highlight on Instagram (‘Card Pullings’) for a sneak peek of the look and feel of this deck, and look up Alana Fairchild for other beautiful decks like this one.

I am so happy we recorded this podcast, in our noisy and sweaty little hut on Nusa Lembongan. I feel like it captures our mindset so beautifully and reflects everything we were feeling and moving through at that moment. This is what the Diaries are going to be like!

I’m Leaving for Bali! Embracing my Intuition & Finding Trust31 Jan 202000:46:48

Yessss, I’m back! I’ve missed you, connecting with you through this medium, sharing insights with you, I’ve missed it all! It was good to have a break in January and I’ve had many break-throughs because of it, but YAY for being back :)

My January started soooo powerfully. I set the tone for this year & decade by choosing ME from the get-go. Making intuitive-based decisions can be scary but trust me when I say you’ll notice soon enough you’re so held, so supported & so seen when you do.

This month I’ve also been able to feel into my mission for the Spiritual Fem more, realising that this is so much bigger than myself, so I can release any imposter-syndrome of me doing this work (since it has very little to do with ‘me’!).

This is also why I now want to share my offering with you: I am going to be taking you on a three-month journey called ‘Facilitate Magic’, starting mid-april. In these three months I will be guiding you every step of the way to facilitate your own (women’s) circle. I believe healing & empowerment doesn’t necessarily happen alone, and creating more spaces where vulnerable and authentic connection can take place is at the core of the Spiritual Fem. Through sisterhood, we find empowerment, healing and so much more. I am incredibly excited to guide you on this journey. Check out the Instagram highlight for all the details so far - enrolment opens in March, but connect with me if you want more info before that!

I can’t wait to take this podcast, the Spiritual Fem in general, YOU and myself on this journey. It’s actually happening - I can hardly believe it - but I am leaving for Bali! Let’s see what’s on the other side :)

ReWriting My Story, Wrapping Up the Year & Soft Intentions for 202030 Dec 201900:47:11

I’ve been moving through a lot these past few weeks and recording this episode about it all made me realise what a privilege it is to be sharing this journey so raw and openly with you all. Thank YOU for sending me messages about all the episodes, telling me they inspired you, and sharing the podcast on your socials. It honestly means the world.

In this episode, I talk about how empowering it is to rewrite your story. How I saw myself as a teenager, how other people see me, and how I use labels to form stories about who I am, has all been worth reassessing ~ and rewriting where necessary. You see, the stories we tell ourselves shape our reality and identity. It is therefore extremely powerful to critically edit where necessary.

I also talk about setting soft intentions and being kind with ourselves as we are slowly wrapping up this year and decade. Maybe setting an intention, and forming a mantra, will help you start 2020 with the right energy. Maybe your soul is craving something else. There is no right or wrong.

Personally, my 2020 mantra will be ‘I flow like the river’. This, to me, symbolises the permission slip to lean back. It’s a reminder to see life not as a path to be walked, but a river to flow with. I am held by the water!

I wish you a year full of self-love, empowered action, spiritual moments and intuitive decisions. I can’t wait to take you to Bali (and beyond), and share my raw and honest journey. I’ll see you in February! x

We talk about how in this society, we often define ourselves through our jobs, and how for us both this past year has completely shifted that perception. How can explore ourselves, our identity, our intuition? How can we tap into our inner wisdom again?
During her burn-out, Emma decided to quit her job and step into unknown territory in her life. Through that, she learned to trust in herself and go with the flow. She has learned to not focus on the future too much but live more in the now, which I find so inspiring. We discuss how setting boundaries is something you need to learn but is so important to thrive. Learning how to shift the feeling of responsibility towards others, towards ourselves, is incredibly powerful.

I hope you enjoy this life-update with Emma, that you feel supported by our words and that, if it made you reflect on your own 2019, you feel grateful and empowered about how far you’ve come.

Merry Christmas if you celebrate it, and I will see you before we close this year with the last podcast of the decade!

Spiritual Serendipity, Self-Sabotage and the Sisterhood Wound ~ w/ Kerry Hinns16 Dec 201901:12:50

I am so incredibly excited to share this interview with my wonderful friend Kerry Hinns today! Kerry is an incredible space-holder, providing space for women to show up as they are, working through shame, trauma and insecurities.

In this episode, we talk about self-sabotaging ourselves and creating a bliss list. We discuss the beauty of sisterhood and healing the collective wound, the power of empathy, and the lack-mentality that our society pressures on us. We share a discovery we did that day of a beautiful spiritual serendipity.
It’s pretty crazy to (unknowingly) already have connected to Kerry before we even knew each other. Our stories are running more parallel than we realised ~ and goodness do I feel grateful for Kerry and the connection I feel with her!

Kerry and I would love to invite you to share what you are proud of ~ if you share on Instagram, make sure to tag us so we can celebrate YOU!

I hope that through this episode, you will feel that you already belong. Feeling disconnected and afraid to show up as yourself is completely understandable, we all feel it from time to time ~ but know that in this safe space and loving community, you are seen, heard and supported.

Healing our Inner Child, Connecting to Mother Earth & Spiritual Poetry ~ w/ Caroline Fearns09 Dec 201900:56:30

Caroline shares the most beautiful poetry, insights and energy via her Instagram account @healingforshe. Connecting with her has been such an empowering experience and I am so excited to share that energy with you today!

In this episode, Caroline shares a part of her personal story. We talk about how she reclaims her inner voice through poetry ~ and does so beautifully! We discuss how healing starts from within (and usually with giving love to our inner child). Caroline often goes into nature to connect and release, which I find so inspiring. She states that we are disconnected from Mother Earth because we are disconnected from within ~ and that it home. I hope that through this episode, you will allow yourself to feel your emotions ~ it’s all allowed to be there! It’s simply a part of being the beautiful human being that you are.

Release the wild from within through listening to this podcast episode (perhaps whilst walking in nature!) and feel held and supported by Caroline’s energy.

Deconditioning the Sweet Goddess & Finding our Inner Medicine ~ w/ Farah Orths02 Dec 201900:50:54

This conversation with Farah blew me open like nothing else. Get ready to level up on your spiritual path!

I came across Farah on Instagram a while ago, and since then have been inspired by her energy and content. Recently, after a particular post of hers about her experience in a sweat lodge, I asked Farah if she wanted to come onto the podcast with me to discuss the ‘good girl’ conditioning we all carry within us. I am so happy and honoured to share this episode with you today.

We discuss Farah’s spiritual path and awakening, how she is reclaiming her body through dance (and posting about it online!), her experience in a sweat lodge and the sweet goddess & good girl conditioning. We talk about how she is currently moving through life and how those shifts have changed the way she shows up online. We also chat about her current work of helping women find their inner medicine.
Join us in a raw and honest conversation about spirituality, womanhood and how can decondition ourselves through moving our bodies.

Taking a Leap of Faith10 Nov 201900:51:53

I have a feeling this will be one of those episodes on which I will look back often! I’ve been alluding to my recent life decisions a few times in the past couple of episodes, and here we are :). In this episode, I tell you all about my current journey in life and how the start of my 2020 will look like. I still can’t quite believe all the changes going on in my life and honestly, so much of that is down to the Spiritual Fem(inist) and your sense of connection and community with me. Thank you!

In this episode I talk about my decision to quit my job and how such a big moment in my life actually came about quite peacefully. I have decided to travel starting February next year. I will fly out to Bali first and then see where the wind will take me after. I talk about how I was able to disentangle my intuition from my instinct and how that has empowered me. And at the end, I reveal something quite exciting that will take place in December! I can’t wait to see what the next few months have in store for us all.

Let’s take the Spiritual Feminist podcast on the road, shall we :)

This bonus episode is a gift from me to you, offering you deep support on radical acceptance, reclaiming what spirituality means to you, connecting to self care and inner needs, and knowing that you're already doing enough.

The questions I cover:
1. How do I accept who I am, was, will be?
2 How can I accept I don’t have to hide and be invisible all the time?
3. How do I connect to the elements?
4. How not to fall off the wagon with my spiritual journey. I tend to be irregular & stop for weeks and then I feel guilty for not meditating for 2 months.

If this mentoring special hit home for you, check out Goodbye Good Girl - my brand new group programme that combines audio mentoring, inspiring workshops, a virtual sisterhood and so much more. Reading the Tarot, Reclaiming our Inner Witch, and a Multi-Hyphen Spiritual Career ~ w/ Maxime Vossen04 Nov 201901:29:36

Whilst I was in Gent co-hosting a beautiful event (check the previous podcast episode!), Maxime Vossen carved out some time to chat to me. I feel so so lucky that I get to connect with inspiring women like her. Maxime uses yoga, reiki, tarot, and overall intuitive mentorship to guide and inspire people in their lives. She is a beautiful old soul with such wisdom to share, and I can’t wait to hear what you think of this episode!

We talk all about her evolving career as a spiritual entrepreneur, from teaching yoga in to-be-demolished buildings to using reiki and tarot to guide people 1:1 in their lives. We dive deep into how Tarot works ~ which I’m really happy about. I find tarot very intimidating and simply did not know where to start. Please see all the links below for your personal Tarot First Aid Kit, and get card pulling! (and let us know if this instigated you buying a deck! I know it has done for me ;)).

We also chat about Maxime’s own podcast, which she hosts together with Lana Bauwens. They aptly titled it ‘Witches Wear Sneakers’ and we discuss how the term ‘witch’ is used in current society, and how we should try and reclaim the word and its connotations. I would love to know how the word WITCH makes you feel, and why. Let’s open up the discussion!

We also talk about Maxime’s lifestyle and rituals, how a multi-hyphen career is working for her and we have some laughs in-between our chatter.

Basically, I could’ve talked for hours with Maxime (and well, we kind of did!). I hope you feel as happy and inspired listening to our conversation as I did. I am really thankful to Maxime for not only taking out the time to record with me for the Spiritual Feminist podcast, but also for her to share her wisdom on so many topics. This is an episode I will cherish for a long time - I hope you feel the same!

Embracing the Spiritual Places Within Us ~ w/ Sophie Jongejan21 Oct 201900:50:49

I had the pleasure of recording an episode with the inspiring lady that is Sophie Jongejan, creator of ‘The Place’, a hub for creative and spiritual moments in and around Gent, Belgium. Sophie and I met on Instagram and when I expressed my coming to her city, she invited me to co-host one of her Talks, themed ‘Embrace your Female Energy’.

We recorded this before we went to the location and it was a beautiful moment for us to reflect on what female energy actually means to us. I also ask Sophie about why and how she started The Place, her relationship with the digital sphere and money and her spiritual practices.

I am so grateful to have met Sophie. She truly is a connector of light workers, providing a platform for spiritual creatives to inspire people, and in turn provide a place (!) for people to find connection and depth.

Join us with a cup of tea for an authentic chat between two spiritual, creative entrepreneurs. And as always, let me know what you thought of the episode!

Crystals, Creativity and Spiritual Awakening ~ w/ Caressa Hesselmann07 Oct 201901:18:21

I am so happy to have Caressa on the podcast today! I found her on Instagram a while back, and since then we have connected over our mutual interest in spirituality, yoga, crystals, creativity, art… basically everything that we cover in this episode :)

We recorded this episode after I spent the day at a One Day Retreat co-facilitated by Caressa, where we did yoga, intuitive painting and made a crystal grid. This inspiring day was the catalyst for our conversation and I really think that the energy from that day radiates from our chats.

I am so grateful I get to call Caressa my friend now. She is a special soul ~ from her spiritual journey to her work now, she inspires me every day to follow my heart (and to give myself the permission slip to make really ugly paintings!!!!!). Hopefully you’ll feel both of those things too, listening to this.

In the episode, we discuss the One Day Retreats - check out their website to see what days they organise in the months coming up. Caressa points to the book Crystals for Healing by Karen Frazier as a good starting point for working with crystals.

Resistance, Surrendering and Starting my Reiki Journey23 Sep 201901:10:11

I dive deep in this one! I recorded this with tea, candles and a blanket. I suggest you do the same: get cozy and join me for this heart to heart. :)

After my Reiki Level 1 course, I felt really called to catch you up on my (spiritual) journey. The topics of resistance and surrendering kept coming up during the course ~ as well as throughout the past few months for me. How can we navigate resistance, both from within ourselves as from other people around us? How can we protect our energy whilst sitting with the negativity too? Why can it be SO HARD to surrender to these emotions?

In this episode, I take you on this journey with me ~ from (veryyy) personal stories to connecting with the new moon in Libra. I hope through my words and energy, you will find inspiration and medicine. In this time of ‘go go go’, where ‘being busy’ is a signifier for a ‘fulfilled’ life, I think it is so powerful and important to listen more to what we are resisting. Reiki is absolutely perfect for that, since it will go deep into your energetic body. It teaches you that everything in itself is perfect. Everything is allowed to be felt. Everything is allowed to take up space. Through sitting with resistance, we will be able to surrender and expand.

Moon Phases, Rituals and the Power of Yin Yoga
 ~ w/ Lisanne of @meisjesvandemaan09 Sep 201900:55:06

I received a lot of requests about this one! Moon phases ~ what are they, and how can we work with them? I invited Lisanne, Yin Yoga teacher and Woman of the Moon #1, on the podcast to talk about how she incorporates the phases of the moon in her Yin Yoga classes and in her life. Join us in this fun and inspiring conversation about whether we should have (moon) rituals, how we can find our balance between yin and yang in this society ~ and why self love is so damn important!

A lot of you have been asking me to talk more about the moon phases. I believe awareness about the moon and her phases are a great tool to feel more connected to Mother Earth, her cycles and ~ in turn ~ our own cyclical nature. Don’t feel pressured to have a moon ritual every week (or every month), but feel into the flow of the cycles whenever you feel called to. I hope this episode will shine a light on this beautiful concept for you, and that it will help you find whatever ritual, energy and/or flow feels good.

In this episode, Lisanne mentions the book Moonology by Yasmin Boland. It’s a great practical book if you want to dive deeper into the moon phases and astrology!

Deep Sisterhood, Warrior Queens, and Limitless Living ~ w/ Dr. Sarah Coxon26 Aug 201901:01:30

Wow, wow, wow. This episode is SUCH potent medicine and a beautiful follow-up of the two episodes I have done on Wild Woman. I had the honour to dive deep with Dr. Sarah Coxon.
Through her online Academy, podcast, 1:1 work and Instagram page, Sarah shows women how they can live limitlessly, without the hustle that we are conditioned to think is necessary to reach our goals.

In the episode, we discuss Sarah’s previous work as an archeologist and how she stepped out of that academic field ~ simply because she saw that that world did not serve her anymore. She shares a few stories about women’s lives before the patriarchy, which opened my eyes even more to how society and our position in it are just stories everyone tells each other and chooses (subconsciously) to believe. If there were warrior queens over 3000 years ago, what is holding us back to mirror ourselves to them in this day and age?

Sarah and I also chat about importance of sisterhood and how powerful it can be to come together as women - not only to raise our divine feminine vibration but also to honour our divine masculine side. To truly live limitlessly is to tap into all of that power - to honour all parts of us.

We discuss how living limitlessly really works - and how untangling our fearful relationship with money can help us to shift to a more abundant mindset.

Sarah’s work and view of life continue to inspire me every day and I am so grateful that the universe pointed me towards her. I strongly believe that we were meant to meet and I hope I will get to do that in real life as well in the future!

Women Who Run With The Wolves #2: Finding Your Pack19 Aug 201901:00:08

Part two of the two-part podcast on Women Who Run With The Wolves, written by Clarissa Pinkola Estés, is here!

This book came into my life right around the time I was starting up the Spiritual Fem as a platform and as a podcast. It opened my eyes to why I felt this deep remembering of spiritual empowerment as a woman.

This episode focusses on chapter three through chapter six. I discuss how embracing your Wild Woman, and through the deep work that requires this, you can find your true belonging. It will mean seeking your pack, releasing everything and everyone that is not serving your new-found (but deeply remembered) purpose. It means honouring your duality and expecting others to do the same. It means trusting the natural life/death/life cycles of life in which everything that must be released creates a space for new beginnings.

You are allowed to take up space. You don’t have to feel lonely on this journey. You are seen, you are heard, you are supported. By your inner wild woman, by the generations of women that came before us, and by the community that exists in our current world.
Join me on this journey into the deep, luscious forest, will you?

Women Who Run With The Wolves #1: Rewilding 12 Aug 201900:54:17

Today is part one of a two-part podcast about a life-changing book called “Women Who Run With The Wolves”, written by Clarissa Pinkola Estés.

This book came into my life right around the time I was starting up the Spiritual Fem as a platform and as a podcast. It opened my eyes to why I felt this deep remembering of spiritual empowerment as a woman. I am so excited to share my ideas about this book with you today, and with a bonus episode next week!

This episode focusses on the first three chapters of the book. I dive deep into why every woman will feel connected with the concept of “Wild Woman”, and why we all deserve to do the deep work to connect with her again. Our intuition is our greatest gift, and through stories and analyses we can grasp the ideas and feelings of what it will feel like once we tap into that again. Wild Woman is within us all, and she is waiting to be unleashed. Join me on this journey into the deep, luscious forest, will you?

Mystical Turkish Heritage, Quantum Physics & the Power of Manifestation ~ w/ my dear friend Lal15 Jul 201900:45:53

I invited my dear friend Lal on the podcast to talk about her Turkish heritage and how that has defined her outlook on spirituality. I think it is so important to realize that so many cultures carry beautiful traditions from which we can all learn. It’s so inspiring how Lal followed her intuition when she decided to study psychology, and she has some really inspiring thoughts on how she’d like to see the fields of science and spirituality combined. We dive deep into the theories of quantum physics and manifestation, and how we think we are all connected. We are all so much more alike each other than we are programmed to think - and Lal, with her beautiful Turkish heritage and mixed religion upbringing, and who has lived abroad for many years now, is the best person I know to confirm this. I hope you feel loved and connected with us listening to this episode! <3

In this episode, we talk about the documentary HEAL which you can find on Netflix. Lal recommends the book Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself by dr. Joe Dispenza. At the end, we pull ‘Mirror’ from the Inner Compass Card deck. Lal also uses Angel Cards to help her feel guided and supported.

Stop Saying You're Sorry: Return the Agency to YourSelf10 May 202300:16:45

Get your FREE Sacred Rebellion roadmap, including a secret podcast + guided journal!

How often do you say I'm sorry when it's not truly needed? The language you use has a direct effect on the stories that make up your reality, as well as on your energetic field. So this larger 'I'm sorry energy' may be keeping you smaller than need be - and blocking your empowerment. This episode gives you insight in why we carry such apologetic energy and how to move beyond that.

I talk about…
1. How this apologetic energy can also lay bare underlying issues of urgency, insecurity and staying stuck in Good Girl mode.
2. Useful substitutes for 'I'm sorry' and how this rewrites your empowerment story too.
3. How an embodied approach helps with guiding yourself from feeling guilty to stepping into your inner fire.

I hope this episode inspires you to take up space more unapologetically, more often, and to experiment with how that feels and looks like for you in this season.

Creating a Home within Yourself, by Yourself01 Jul 201900:34:44

It’s the new moon in Cancer + we’re halfway through 2019! Anyone else freaking out a little? No worries, I got you. This new moon is really special in that it allows us to find stillness within ourselves. How, you ask?

In this episode, I talk all about spending time by yourself & about redefining what “home” means. You see, if you can find that stillness and happiness within yourself, you will never need outside validation or confirmation again. And trust me, you already carry this with you. You simply need to tune into your intuition again. Ignite that female fire! You deserve it. <3

Conscious Sexuality, Moving with the Chakras & the Global Field of the Feminine ~ w/ Conscious Sexuality Coach Mirjam Irene17 Jun 201900:46:56

In today’s episode of the Spiritual Feminist, I interview conscious sexuality coach Mirjam Irene. I really wanted to bring Mirjam on the podcast to discuss breaking down the taboos we (probably) all feel around our sexuality and our bodies, especially as women! Through her work, Mirjam makes these taboo topics tangible, relatable and discussable. She coaches women through their struggles surrounding sexuality and also organises events to break open the shame, guilt and fear that exists around female sexuality.

In our conversation, we talk about normalising the discussion around sexuality, how chakras can help realigning with your body, the current political debate on women’s bodies and how we can reclaim that conversation ~ and so much more. Even if (or especially when?) the area of sexuality makes you a little uncomfortable, there is so much in this episode that you can hopefully take from it. I am so grateful to Mirjam to introduce me and you to a more spiritual approach to sexuality, and how beautiful that can be! We really only scratched the surface but I feel like this episode is already packed with so much wisdom, love and joy.

~ You can check out all the the beautiful things Mirjam is doing on Facebook and Instagram.

In the episode, Mirjam talks about YouTuber Layla Martin.

Our Inner Compass, Burning Out, Creativity and Gratitude ~ w/ my best friend Emma01 Jun 201901:11:49

In this episode I’m in conversation with my best friend Emma about her burn-out and the subsequent search for her inner compass and her true voice. Unfortunately burn-outs are extremely common, especially amongst millennials, and I am really thankful to Emma who talks so openly about her struggles. Together, we can break the stigma attached to mental health issues! In our conversation we talk about books that have helped her gain awareness, we talk about the healing power of creativity and we pull some (scarily accurate!) Inner Compass cards.

In this episode, Emma mentions Coming To Our Senses as the book that helped her gain awareness. She also shares a quote of the Dutch book Jong Burnout by Nienke Thurlings. We pull cards from the Inner Compass deck.
