About Kathryn M Lackey
Kathryn Lackey is the founder of Heart of the Home Styling & Designs, a seasoned designer, entrepreneur, and author of Letters from Love’s Battlefield. With over 20 years of experience in design and renovation, Kathy's journey into this career began as a survival job following the devastating loss of her husband to sexual addiction. She turned her passion for design, particularly kitchen and bath design, into a thriving business, blending her real estate background with her deep understanding of creating “heart of the home” spaces that enhance property value. Kathy’s journey also includes years of caregiving, navigating divorce, and raising her children while managing her parents' real estate amidst her mother’s Alzheimer's.
In 2019, Kathy embraced her entrepreneurial spirit by launching her own solopreneur kitchen design and home staging business, and soon after she relocated to Nashville for a fresh start. Her personal story took a transformative turn following her former husband's death, which led her to rediscover a journal of unsent letters to him.
