| #176 The Quantum Connection Between Mitochondria, Homeopathy & Consciousness with Judyann McNamara | 29 Sep 2026 | 01:17:47 | |

As neither biophysics nor quantum biology were recognized disciplines in 1976, Judyann did both as separate disciplines and continued in physics research. In 1980 she witnessed the traces left on detectors by biophotons emitted by living cells. This led to studying and being qualified in subtle energy fields, Reiki, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Chinese Medicine, Homeopathy, Naturopathy and Qigong. Holism, the metaphysical container for Quantum Biology provided the container for all the practices. Recognizing how essential the paradigm shift from mechanism to holism is for the healing of humanity, she founded the International Association of Holistic Professionals. The IAHP’s Friday morning experiential workshops explored healing presence and our challenging cases through the process of Dialog (a la David Bohm) and inquiry. The successes of the cases dialogued, and those of her clinical practice inspired a group of therapists to want to share and teach how to naturally align with Holism as the Force of creation and evolution, with homeopathy as its central therapy in 2006. Judyann continues to keep a toe in research by collaborating with Drs Martin Picard and Nirosha Murugan. Martin and Judyann developed the ground-breaking Energy Resistance Principle during our dialog sessions last year. Picard's upcoming book Energy has been designed to help readers make the important paradigm shift from the chemical-mechanical model of health to one that is based on Energy and the human experience. Judyann describes mitochondria as quantum organelles operating at the boundary between the material and immaterial—connecting us to the quantum field while transforming captured light into energy. We explore why understanding health may require us to move beyond a purely mechanistic view of the body and toward a truly holistic one. We dive into: ✨ Why mitochondria may be understood as a bridge between the material and immaterial ✨ The connection between mitochondria, consciousness, and quantum fields ✨ How homeopathic remedies communicate information through energetic signatures ✨ Why the experience of a symptom may be more important than simply naming the symptom ✨ How the default mode network, overthinking, anxiety, and living in our stories can consume enormous amounts of energy ✨ Why presence, nature, connection, and heart intelligence may support mitochondrial health ✨ Disease as a call toward greater wholeness ✨ Moving beyond dualistic thinking and learning to hold opposing experiences as interconnected polarities ✨ Why some people become stuck in victim/perpetrator narratives and how shifting perspective requires energy ✨ The idea of experiencing ourselves as events rather than objects or nouns ✨ How different homeopathic modalities—from remedies and complexes to flower essences and cell salts—can work across different energetic levels ✨ Sensitivity, mitochondrial information processing, and why some people respond so strongly to both disease and remedies ✨ Potency, information, entropy, and what happens when too much information is introduced at once ✨ And how developing greater awareness of our body's signals can help us become active participants in our own healing One of our favorite themes from this conversation is the idea that suffering itself can be understood as a longing for wholeness—and that healing may involve moving beyond the belief that we are separate from ourselves, each other, nature, and the greater whole. This is a deep conversation that bridges homeopathy, quantum biology, consciousness, and the human experience in a really fascinating way. www.michmontreal.com/quantum-health-connection https://webinars.michmontreal.com/ https://www.facebook.com/michmontreal/ https://www.instagram.com/michmontreal/ https://www.linkedin.com/school/montreal-institute-of-classical-homeopathy/ Find Heather:

| #174 Agree or Disagree Part 2: Calories, Carbs, Fruit & the Health Myths We’re Questioning | 15 Sep 2026 | 00:54:08 | |
In Part 2 of our Agree or Disagree series, Vanessa and Heather are back with another round of health topics that challenge the conventional wisdom. Are calories really all that matters for weight loss? Are carbohydrates bad for women? Does fruit make us sick? Can you actually take too many supplements? And is more testing always better? Vanessa and Heather unpack these questions from their own experiences and perspectives, exploring the bigger picture of health—including circadian rhythm, stress, sleep, hormones, mitochondrial health, nutrient quality, and emotional healing. They also get personal, with Vanessa sharing how increasing her carbohydrate intake dramatically changed her energy, hormones, and libido after years of chronic illness and under-eating. In this episode, they discuss: Calories and weight loss: Why a calorie deficit isn't the whole story How circadian rhythm, stress, sleep, hormones, and mitochondrial health can influence metabolism Whether tracking macros is helpful—or potentially harmful—for different people Why Vanessa believes adequate carbohydrates are especially important for women's health The relationship between carbohydrates, libido, hormones, energy, and metabolic health Heather's experiences with keto and carnivore diets Why fruit isn't the enemy and how seasonal, whole-food eating can change the conversation around sugar Seasonal eating and choosing foods that make sense for the time of year Why more supplements don't necessarily mean better health Targeted support vs. taking a long list of supplements “just in case” Vanessa's perspective on homeopathy and tissue salts as energetic medicines rather than supplements Why physical and emotional healing are interconnected Why we agree that stress management may be even more important than nutrition The importance of morning sunlight for circadian rhythm and overall health Our skepticism around excessive testing and the idea that we always need more data How social media can fuel fear, comparison, anxiety, and unrealistic expectations Why individualized health strategies are more valuable than one-size-fits-all protocols As always, this isn't about telling you what you should do. It's about questioning the health rules we've been handed, looking at the whole person, and figuring out what actually makes sense for you. | #173 The Subconscious Impact of Mind Control on Your Health with Jason Christoff | 08 Sep 2026 | 01:17:09
We are excited to bring you this episode with Jason Christoff, a mind control researcher. You may be thinking, "what does mind control have to do with health?", or "I'm definitely not under mind control!". What if some of the choices you make every day—what you eat, what you believe, what you consume, and even how you respond to fear—aren’t entirely your own? Jason was a former fitness club owner and health educator who became deeply interested in the ways media, repetition, group dynamics, and subconscious programming can influence human behavior. He shares his personal journey of awakening to these ideas, beginning with questions about conventional nutrition guidelines and eventually leading him to study kinesiology, human behavior, and group dynamics. He explains how he began recognizing patterns in his own body and why he describes it as a kind of “walking lie detector”—responding differently when he encountered information he felt was true versus information that conflicted with his instincts. From food and health recommendations to movies, television, advertising, social expectations, and fear-based messaging, Jason challenges listeners to become more aware of what they are repeatedly exposing themselves to. In this episode, we explore:
One of the biggest takeaways from this conversation is the importance of paying attention to what you repeatedly consume. Just as we think about the quality of the food we put into our bodies, Jason encourages listeners to consider the quality of the information, images, entertainment, conversations, and messages we repeatedly expose ourselves to. | #168 Beyond Vitamin D: How Sunlight Powers Your Mitochondria with Jonathan Jarecki—Part 2 | 04 Aug 2026 | 00:53:26
In Part 2 of our conversation with Jonathan Jarecki, we move beyond the basic advice to “get more sunlight” and dive deeply into the emerging science of how light interacts with our mitochondria, cellular water, circulation, and circadian biology. Jonathan begins by challenging the familiar explanation that ATP is simply the “energy currency” of the cell. Drawing from the work of researchers such as Gilbert Ling and Gerald Pollack, he explores another possibility: ATP may play a crucial role in organizing water and building exclusion-zone—or EZ—water inside the body. We then examine how red and near-infrared light may support mitochondrial function. Jonathan explains proposed mechanisms involving cytochrome c oxidase, ATP synthase, electron flow through the mitochondrial electron transport chain, nitric oxide, and the production of subcellular melatonin. He also discusses why the absence of infrared light—and the abundance of isolated blue light—in modern indoor environments may place additional stress on our mitochondria. The conversation also takes an honest look at red-light therapy devices. Are high-intensity panels always better, or could the lower intensity and balanced spectrum of natural sunlight be more biologically appropriate? Jonathan shares his concerns about extremely powerful devices, explains how distance can reduce intensity, and discusses simple alternatives such as incandescent bulbs and reflected near-infrared light. We also explore the often-demonized ultraviolet portion of sunlight. Jonathan discusses vitamin D as a possible marker of sun exposure rather than the sole reason sunlight is associated with better health outcomes. He explains how UVA stimulates nitric oxide release, why that matters for blood pressure and circulation, and what research suggests about regular sun exposure, melanoma mortality, cardiovascular health, and other cancers. Finally, Jonathan offers realistic ways to create a more light-supportive lifestyle even if you work indoors or are not ready for direct midday sun. In this episode, we discuss:
The science may be complex, but the central message is beautifully simple: our bodies developed in relationship with the full spectrum of natural light. Improving that relationship does not have to involve an expensive device or a complete lifestyle overhaul. It can begin with stepping outside in the morning, welcoming more natural light into the day, and allowing true darkness to return at night. | #166 Quantum Nutrition: Why Light Matters More Than Food with Ethan Okunas, MS, RD | 21 Jul 2026 | 01:03:16
Ethan Okunas is a Registered Dietitian, founder of Quantum Dietitian, and author of Quantum Nutrition and Quantum Weight Loss. Ethan helps clients rebuild their health by aligning metabolism, rhythm, and environment at the level of energy. Rather than focusing only on food and symptoms, Ethan teaches people how to work with the upstream signals — light, timing, water, movement, and mitochondrial function — that truly shape how the body operates. Ethan shares how years of helping clients lose (and regain) weight led him to question conventional nutrition advice. That search ultimately brought him into the world of mitochondrial health, circadian biology, and quantum health, where he discovered that hormones are often driving metabolism rather than calories. Vanessa and Ethan unpack why thyroid dysfunction may actually be a protective response to mitochondrial stress, how our modern environment disrupts hormone signaling, and why optimizing light exposure often has a greater impact than changing what's on your plate. They also discuss restrictive diets, GLP-1 medications, sunlight, sleep, EMFs, grounding, structured water, meal timing, and practical ways anyone can begin reconnecting with nature to improve health. Whether you're struggling with fatigue, stubborn weight, thyroid issues, poor sleep, or simply want to understand the bigger picture of health, this episode offers a refreshing perspective that goes far beyond calories and macros. Here's what we cover in this episode: Ethan's journey from traditional dietetics to quantum health Why most weight loss advice fails long-term The relationship between mitochondria, thyroid function, and reverse T3 Why hormones (not calories) ultimately regulate body weight What GLP-1 medications reveal about metabolism The pillars of Quantum Nutrition beyond food Why sunlight is one of the most powerful health interventions available The importance of complete darkness for sleep and recovery How blue light and non-native EMFs affect metabolism Simple ways to reduce EMF exposure at home Why meal timing matters as much as food quality The role of grounding, structured water, and movement in energy production The truth about restrictive low-carb and carnivore diets Why adding seasonal carbohydrates can improve metabolism, sleep, and performance Practical daily habits that support circadian biology and mitochondrial health Enjoy the episode! | #159 The Power of Melanin: Nature's Built-In Sun Protection & Energy Converter | 26 May 2026 | 00:48:10
In this episode of the Quantum Health Connection Podcast, Heather and Vanessa explore the fascinating science and emerging quantum biology of melanin, and why it’s so much more than skin pigment. Melanin is often thought of only in terms of tanning or skin color, but it is actually a deeply intelligent biological system that helps regulate light, protect against oxidative stress, support the nervous system, and potentially even influence cellular energy production. Vanessa shares her recent experience in St. Lucia, where she successfully built solar adaptation and spent time in intense tropical sun without burning, highlighting the power of gradually building melanin through intentional UVA and UVB exposure rather than relying solely on sunscreen and sun avoidance. In this conversation, we discuss: ☀️ Why melanin is much more than skin pigment: it acts as a light regulator; antioxidant; and biological semiconductor ☀️ The difference between UVA and UVB light, and why UVA is essential for melanin production and solar adaptation ☀️ How gradual, strategic sun exposure helps your body build its own natural protection ☀️ Why modern indoor living, excessive sunscreen use, and artificial light disrupt healthy melanin production ☀️ The difference between eumelanin and pheomelanin, and how your melanin type influences sun tolerance ☀️ Melanin’s role in the brain, eyes, gut, and immune system ☀️ Emerging research on melanin’s potential role in energy production and quantum biology ☀️ How melanin may help bind heavy metals and protect against neurodegeneration, including conditions like Parkinson’s disease ☀️ The connection between sunlight, melanin, improved food tolerance, vision, and nervous system resilience ☀️ Why balance vs fear is the key to developing a healthy relationship with the sun We also discuss cultural attitudes around tanning and sun avoidance, the importance of respecting your individual solar capacity, and how reconnecting with natural light may be one of the most overlooked foundations of health. Melanin is not just pigment. It is part of your body’s built-in solar intelligence that helps you interact with light, energy, and the environment in ways we are only beginning to understand. Learn how to partner with the sun, so your body can remember how to thrive! | #156 From Fertility to Family Healing: Making Homeopathy Practical, Simple & Powerful with Jill Geisinger | 05 May 2026 | 00:49:27
In this conversation, Jill, a homeopathic practitioner specializing in women’s health and fertility, shares her unexpected path into homeopathy, and how it became a lifelong practice focused on supporting mothers, conception, pregnancy, and postpartum care. We explore her clinical approach using fertility protocols, sarcodes, and targeted remedies, alongside the evolving challenges seen post-COVID, including shifts in fertility patterns and miscarriage rates. Jill also speaks to the importance of addressing the mother as the “hub” of the family system—where healing one woman can create ripple effects across the entire household. The discussion moves into making homeopathy more accessible and practical: from simple acute protocols for birth workers and families, to tissue salts as foundational tools, to the importance of having remedies ready before crisis moments arise. Jill also shares her work with trauma-informed homeopathy, highlighting its ability to support healing without requiring clients to relive traumatic experiences. At the heart of this episode is a shared theme: homeopathy doesn’t need to be complicated to be effective. When simplified and applied practically, it becomes a powerful tool for families, practitioners, and birth professionals alike. Jill's practice focuses on women’s health and helping families use homeopathy confidently at home. As a mom of four, she is passionate about simple, practical tools that support everyday health. In her 1:1 work, she focuses on women’s health, with a special interest in fertility, hormonal and thyroid imbalances, autoimmune conditions, and mental health, taking a root-cause approach that also addresses the impact of past experiences and emotional health. | #155 Curtis Gillespie Sayers on Peptides, Biohacking Trends & the Truth About Healing | 28 Apr 2026 | 01:13:35
This week Heather & Vanessa sit down with Curtis Gillespie Sayers who's a functional medicine practitioner formally trained in functional medicine, with additional training spanning functional nutrition, clinical nutrigenomics, methylation, blood chemistry, biometric coaching, and much more. Curtis's practice is built on one principle: symptoms are signals, not diagnoses, and lasting results come from identifying and addressing what is actually driving them. Curtis specializes in complex and chronic cases: the ones that have gone unresolved through conventional approaches. By integrating advanced testing, genetic analysis, and a deep understanding of how the body's systems interact, he builds precise, individualized protocols to get to the root of what is going on rather than managing surface-level outcomes. In this conversation, Curtis shares his personal journey from severe illness to helping complex chronic cases, emphasizing a whole-person approach that integrates body, mind, and environment. A major focus of our conversation is the difference between peptides and bioregulators, with peptides acting as enhancers that can push the system, while bioregulators work more gently to restore balance at a deeper level. The discussion highlights a key truth: there is no magic fix. Real healing requires addressing foundational habits, supporting the body’s natural processes, and avoiding the trap of symptom suppression which can lead to deeper imbalances over time. We also explore the emotional and psychological side of healing, including how fear, over-testing, and hyper-focus on data can actually slow progress. Instead, Curtis encourages a mindset shift of seeing symptoms as signals and “everything as an opportunity” to understand and support the body more effectively. The episode closes with a grounded reminder: healing is nuanced, individualized, and requires guidance, especially when using powerful tools like peptides. | #154 Heathar Shepard: PUFAs, Thyroid Dysfunction & the Low-Carb Trap | 21 Apr 2026 | 01:17:37
If you’re doing everything right like eating clean, working out, cutting carbs, and you're still dealing with weight gain, fatigue, or stubborn thyroid symptoms, then this conversation might shift everything. In this episode, Heather Shepard of EatHealFarm returns to the pod to share her deep dive into polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), what they are, where they’re hiding (hint: almost everywhere), and how they can quietly disrupt thyroid function, slow metabolism, and drive weight gain. We explore: – Why seed oils + processed foods are one of the biggest metabolic disruptors – How PUFAs can block thyroid hormone signaling and contribute to estrogen imbalance – The connection between low-carb diets, fasting, and thyroid suppression – Why many people feel worse, not better, on extreme diets like keto or carnivore – The role of carbohydrates, dairy, and calcium in supporting metabolic health – What’s really going on with store-bought eggs, chicken, and pork (and why sourcing matters) – How to begin reducing PUFA load without becoming obsessive – Simple ways to assess thyroid function at home (without expensive labs) We also explore a perspective that often gets missed: This isn’t about eliminating foods out of fear; it’s about restoring balance. Your body isn’t broken. But it does respond to the inputs you give it: light, food, minerals, and stress. And for many people, healing starts with: → lowering the PUFA burden → supporting the thyroid with adequate fuel (yes, carbs matter) → and moving away from extremes toward a more ancestral, rhythmic way of eating If you’ve been stuck in cycles of restriction, burnout, or confusion around fats and carbs… this episode will give you a completely new lens. | #153 Morley Robbins on Copper, Iron & the Truth About Energy | 14 Apr 2026 | 01:31:16
We focus so much on hormones, gut health, detox… …but underneath all of it is something deeper: your mineral balance. In this episode with Morley Robbins, we unpack why so many people are still struggling with fatigue, hormone issues, and chronic symptoms—despite “doing everything right.” Here’s the shift: Most people are told to take more iron… ➡️ But iron overload is often the real problem Most people fear copper… ➡️ But copper is what regulates iron and drives energy production When this balance is off, your body can’t properly recycle iron → leading to oxidative stress, inflammation, and low energy. We dive into: • How mitochondria actually produce energy • Why stress depletes magnesium + disrupts your system • The hidden risks of excess vitamin D (hello potassium loss 👀) • Why your labs can look “normal” but you still feel off • The connection between emotional stress + mineral depletion This conversation really challenges the conventional narrative around: iron, anemia, cholesterol, and supplementation. Because it’s not just about what you take… it’s about how your body is functioning. If you’ve been stuck in cycles of: “Why don’t I feel better even though I’m doing all the things?” 👉 This episode will give you a completely new lens. This week, Heather and Vanessa explore all things tissue salts, aka cell salts. We explore the question of whether true healing is about adding more supplements, or could it be about restoring the mineral foundation your body was designed to run on. To answer that, we explain what tissue salts are, how they work, their connection to homeopathy and astrology, and why mineral balance may be one of the most overlooked keys to chronic healing. You’ll learn: • What tissue salts are and why they matter at the cellular level • How minerals influence energy, emotions, detox, and hydration • The relationship between tissue salts, homeopathy, and structured (EZ) water • The astrology connection, and how your chart may reveal mineral weaknesses • Simple ways to use tissue salts safely and intuitively Tissue salts don’t force the body, they remind it. By restoring mineral balance, we restore communication among cells, emotional resilience, and the body’s innate ability to heal. Heather and Vanessa welcome Jacob Diaz, Naturopathic Practitioner, back to the show for the third time! Our topic is "what if germs aren’t the enemy, but messengers of a deeper imbalance?" To answer this question, we explore pleomorphism, microzyma, mold, parasites, gut health, and the terrain-based model of healing, a perspective that radically challenges the fear-based narratives of modern medicine. We dive into the work of early scientists who questioned germ theory and proposed that disease arises from a weakened or toxic terrain, not from pathogens themselves. Jacob explains how microbes, mold, fungi, and even parasites are part of the body’s adaptive and intelligent response to stress, inflammation, toxicity, and low cellular energy. Specifically, Jacob explains:
This episode is an invitation to step out of fear-based health thinking and into a deeper trust in the body’s wisdom. Together, we explore how modern life disrupts our natural rhythms and emotional capacity, often leading to weight gain, chronic illness, and disconnection from intuition. We talk about sunlight as biological information, trauma stored as energy in the body, intuitive eating, the dangers of over-tracking and over-programming health, and why true healing is often slow, simple, and deeply unglamorous. We also dive into homeopathy, flower essences, blue light exposure, raising kids in a high-tech world, and what it means to model healing rather than perfection. This episode is an invitation to reconnect with your playful side, your body, your intuition, and the natural rhythms that support true vitality, physically, emotionally, and energetically.
