An intelligence summary (INTSUM) is a product that is developed to gain insight into what is happening on the macro level by closely analyzing multiple, smaller, isolated events. It is used in various contexts, including military, government, business, and even economics. Paul & Mike wrap up their discussion of the Judges with the legendary superhero, Samson. Warriors identify with Samson because even with his many flaws, he had purpose and undaunted courage. Samson is the only named Nazirite in the Bible. As a Nazirite, Samson was set apart for a sacred task, which was to begin the defeat of the Philistines. However, Samson broke his vow, showing that he, like so many other warriors in the Bible, was still very much human, but still possessing God's favor even with his many shortcomings.

Often times, Americans lose focus on the fundamental reason why our government is engaged in a particular foreign military campaign. After all, the last time the U.S. military was actually tasked with defending our own soil was probably seventy-five years ago in 1950 during the Jayuya Uprising in Puerto Rico. Since that minor irritant, America's foreign policy has been mostly a result of the machinations of imperialistic neo-cons and enriching the military industrial complex rather than actually liberating the oppressed or making the world a safer place to engage in commerce. Afghanistan turned out to be just one more fools' errand and provides plenty of lessons learned on what not to do the next time Washington D.C. decides to spend America's blood and treasure. You've heard of Oppenheimer in the USA, but have you heard of Heisenberg and what Germany was doing during the same time period? Today, we're honored to have Mitch Utterback in the G Base to discuss the race for the atomic bomb, and the heroic efforts of the Special Operations Executive (SOE) and Norwegian Commandos who conducted daring operations to sabotage the Norsk Hydro heavy water plant and thereby deny the Nazis the atomic bomb.  

Rescuing women and children from human traffickers is dangerous work, and it takes lots of detailed planning, resources and preparation to do it right. But what most people, and even some organizations fail to realize is once a person is recovered from traffickers, the real work begins. These victims have been through a lot of trauma and need lots of counseling and love in a safe and secure place, as well as life training so they can successfully reintegrate back into society. In 1971, President Nixon cancelled the direct convertibility of dollars into gold due to declining gold reserves. Since then, most countries have adopted fiat monies that are exchangeable between major currencies but don't possess any intrinsic value of their own. There's a lot a leader can learn from thinking about a listening and observation post, or what is commonly referred to in the military as an "LP/OP". The key to success is to be very quiet and use your senses to detect the enemy before they detect you, to provide early warning and reaction time for friendly forces. Today, Terry Peters joins Paul & Mike in the G Base to share a little wisdom about the power of listening and learning from others, especially our subordinates. Being a good listener provides leaders what they need to know, and also provides leaders time to take appropriate action in order to benefit the individual and the overall team.

The saying "an army marches on its stomach" has been attributed to both Napoleon and Frederick the Great. It means warriors cannot function effectively unless we're well fed, and not many of us know what's in our food or even where it comes from. That's a big problem. We also know from scripture, God took man and put him in a garden to work it and keep it. So today, Paul & Mike are honored to have Jeremy Burkett discuss his family's experiences with homesteading as they continue on the journey of learning the original profession of man; working the garden and caring for animals.

With non-stop printing of more and more fiat currency, rising interest rates, fractional banking, and bad loans, is it any wonder banks are dropping like dominos? Even people who normally don't pay attention are starting to realize the current monetary system appears to be imploding on itself. Currently, it is estimated that between 15,000 to 50,000 women and children are forced into sexual slavery in the United States every year, with approximately 20 to 40 million enslaved today. 16 million people are trafficked for forced labor in the economy and approximately 5 million people are trafficked for forced sexual exploitation. With our open borders, the problem only gets worse. Today, Paul & Mike are honored to have a good friend and fellow warrior join them in the G-Base to discuss modern day slavery and what Silent Bridge is doing worldwide to help those seeking freedom as well as providing hope and opportunity post captivity.

Maya Angelou said it best: “Courage is the most important of all the virtues because without courage, you can't practice any other virtue consistently.” How right she is. Today Paul & Mike wrap up their discussion with the virtue required of every warrior in order to fulfil their duty and responsibility in the extreme. Vegetius once warned the warrior class that if they failed to return to first principles, Rome would fall. He was correct. Long before the creation of government and religion, God oversaw the very first wedding ceremony. The modern practice of a father giving away his daughter at a wedding reflects God's action in Eden (Gen 2:22-24). A husband and a wife, the family, is the building block of any society. Today, Paul & Mike discuss biblical marriage and our difficulty in "becoming one flesh" with the other half.
