An intelligence summary (INTSUM) is a product that is developed to gain insight into what is happening on the macro level by closely analyzing multiple, smaller, isolated events. It is used in various contexts, including military, government, business, and even economics. Today, Paul & Mike welcome NC Scout back into the G-Base to help develop an INTSUM for fellow Pinelanders, and "pick his brain" to get an idea of what we ought to expect as we progress through 2025. Ryan shares his expertise on how to build meaningful connections to establish a network that goes beyond just surviving, able to thrive indefinitely during tough times. Today, Paul & Mike channel the spirit of Jim Gant, author of the influential paper on Afghanistan titled One Tribe at a Time: A Strategy for Success in Afghanistan. Gant's classic Special Forces approach to defeating insurgents hearkened back to post WWII Philippines, prior to the current US foreign policy of enriching government contractors; a time when winning was the objective. Of course, Americans still love to win and it's very much a part of any warrior's DNA. It's time for our Armed Forces to re-learn Counterinsurgency 101, what used to come natural to America's warrior class. Paul & Mike wrap up their discussion of the Judges with the legendary superhero, Samson. Warriors identify with Samson because even with his many flaws, he had purpose and undaunted courage. Samson is the only named Nazirite in the Bible. As a Nazirite, Samson was set apart for a sacred task, which was to begin the defeat of the Philistines. However, Samson broke his vow, showing that he, like so many other warriors in the Bible, was still very much human, but still possessing God's favor even with his many shortcomings.
