When it comes to consistency, we're told that this is a MUST DO in business. From consistent marketing (you have to post on Instagram five times a week, you have to create more video content, you have to engage with your audience every day), to showing up consistently (you should be working on your business every week, you should join more programs, you need to work on more passion projects) - we know consistency is a must.

But what we're not told as much, is that you get to choose what consistency looks like for you. If your business is unique and your goals are unique, we will all also have a version of consistency that helps us reach those goals that are perfect for us and fit with our time, energy and creativity!

Yes, consistency is so important. Because the consistency we can control (like marketing, visibility, engagement, development) helps us build consistency in the areas we have a little less control over (like monthly income, lead generation, project bookings and sales).

So in this episode, I'm sharing some tips to help you find and develop what consistency can look like in your own business, so you can ignore the advice that isn't relevant to you!

As of this year, I have been running my design studio for ten years (!!), and in that time have managed to build my dream job which has been my most sustainable and secure job so far. We're so often told how working for yourself isn't sustainable and isn't secure that I just wanted to share a few lessons that I've learned in building my business with sustainability, consistency, and joy as my main priorities.

This is more of a chatty episode where I talk through a few pivotal moments and lessons that have allowed me to have sustainability as a foundation in my business over the past 10 years!

Time off is so important and I really want you to be taking restful and restorative breaks from your business so you can come back feeling rejuvenated and inspired! No checking your emails when you're away, no panicking about clients getting in touch, no worrying about switching off - just enjoying your rest and allowing yourself to come back as your best creative self!

In my business, I take at least 12 weeks off a year (without any client dread!) and I'd love to help you create more space in your design business schedule.
