Acast

A collection of short stories and radio plays from the unsettled mind of J.P. Paradise.

Contains curse words and bad things happening to bad people. There are deaths in all shapes and sizes, and horrible things happening mainly for comedic effect. Add in some animal cruelty and a pinch of blasphemy and we have all bases covered.

A Christmas Carol Redux

lundi 15 décembre 2025Durée 28:10

Hi, and welcome to this, the first episode of my new podcast of short stories and radio plays. This is a Christmas Special, a reworking of the Dickens favourite 'A Christmas Carol' with a new twist.

It is inspired by the BBC series 'Dickensian' and features a liberal sprinkling of Easter Eggs in the form of nods to, and quotes from the many TV series, plays, songs, films, and other sources that have been an influence throughout my life.

The script is written by myself, J.P. Paradise

Cast:

Inspector Bucket is played by Adam Sturges

Ebenezer Scrooge by Oli Beech

Superintendent Adolphus by Paul Snook.

It was recorded, edited, and mixed at Westbury Road Studios, Wiltshire

The music is ‘Christmas Morning’ by Beat Mekanik
