She Might Be Gaslighting You If She Says These 12 Things22 sept. 202600:18:45

Are you constantly questioning what you remember, apologizing just to end an argument, or wondering if you're actually the problem?

In this episode of The Narc-Free Man Podcast, Philip Dugas breaks down 12 common gaslighting phrases that can make you doubt your memory, feelings, and judgment—and explains what you can say instead of getting trapped in another circular argument.

You'll hear phrases like:

"That never happened."

"I never said that."

"You're remembering it wrong."

"You're too sensitive."

"You're overreacting."

"It was just a joke."

"You're crazy."

"Everyone agrees with me."

"You always twist my words."

"Look what you made me do."

"After everything I've done for you?"

"You're the one with the problem."

Philip explains what each phrase may be doing inside a repeated pattern of gaslighting, why responsible men can become vulnerable to constantly second-guessing themselves, and how to stop handing over your trust in your own memory and judgment.

You'll also learn practical ways to respond to gaslighting without getting dragged into an argument about your reality, plus four steps that can help you start getting clear about what's actually happening in your relationship.

One disagreement, forgotten conversation, or defensive moment doesn't automatically make someone a gaslighter. The key is the pattern—especially when the conversations repeatedly end with you being wrong, apologizing, confused, or questioning yourself.

If you've started rehearsing conversations before having them, checking her mood when you walk through the door, saving screenshots to prove what happened, walking on eggshells, or wondering whether you're actually the narcissist, this episode is for you.

Stop Explaining Yourself to a Narcissistic Wife: The Question That Changes Everything16 sept. 202600:20:53

Do you constantly find yourself explaining yourself to your wife—only to have your words twisted, challenged, or turned into another argument?

You clarify what you meant. Then you explain your intentions. Then you defend your tone. Before you know it, the original issue has disappeared and you're defending your entire character.

If you're dealing with a narcissistic wife, gaslighting, blame shifting, emotional manipulation, or a high-conflict marriage, this episode of The Narc Free Man Podcast explores a question that could completely change the way you approach these conversations:

Why am I explaining myself to someone who seems committed to misunderstanding me?

One of the biggest mistakes men can make in an unhealthy relationship is assuming that every conflict is simply a communication problem.

In a healthy marriage, clarification should eventually create clarity. Two people may misunderstand each other, but both are interested in understanding, taking responsibility, and resolving the issue.

But what happens when every explanation creates another accusation?

You bring up something that hurt you, and suddenly you're defending yourself.

You address disrespect, and the conversation becomes about everything you've supposedly done wrong.

You try to clarify your intentions, and 30 minutes later you're debating something that happened years ago.

Eventually, you may begin believing that if you could just explain yourself better, the conflict would finally end.

In this episode, Philip explains why endless explanation is not the same thing as healthy communication—and why breaking that pattern can be an important step toward regaining your clarity, confidence, and peace.

In this episode, you'll learn:
Why over-explaining can become a pattern in a toxic or high-conflict marriage
How a simple disagreement can turn into an endless cycle of accusation and defense
Why the original issue keeps disappearing during arguments
The difference between healthy clarification and chronic over-explaining
How gaslighting, blame shifting, and emotional manipulation can affect communication
Why you may feel responsible for regulating your wife's emotions
Why trying harder to be understood may actually keep you trapped in the argument
How to stop defending accusations that don't deserve a defense
How to bring the conversation back to the original issue
Why saying less can sometimes be more powerful than explaining more
How boundaries can remain valid even when someone disagrees with them
Why peace doesn't always require the other person's agreement
How to begin trusting your own judgment again

Philip also walks through four practical changes you can begin making:

1. Say less.
You don't need ten explanations for every decision.

2. Stop defending every accusation.
You don't need to convince another person to hold the correct opinion of you.

3. Return to the original issue.
Don't allow every difficult conversation to become a trial about your entire history or character.

4. Ask what you're trying to accomplish.
Are you communicating something new—or trying to convince someone else to validate your reality?

The goal isn't to become cold, cruel, or unwilling to communicate.

It's learning the difference between saying what needs to be said and endlessly trying to earn permission to trust your own experience.

Healthy communication says:
Here's what happened. Here's how it affected me. Here's what I need going forward.

Over-explaining says:
Please believe me. Please understand me. Please agree that I'm not a bad person.

Those are two very different things.

Stay strong.

Why does a narcissistic wife struggle so much with accountability?13 sept. 202600:18:29

If you are married to a woman with strong narcissistic traits, you may have noticed a frustrating pattern: you bring up something she said or did, but instead of getting a direct apology, the conversation turns into denial, blame-shifting, minimizing, justification, or an attack on you.

In this episode of the Narc Free Man Podcast, Phillip C. Dugas breaks down the 5 common ways a narcissistic wife may avoid accountability and why so many men end up apologizing for problems they did not create.

If you are dealing with a narcissistic wife, female narcissist, toxic marriage, gaslighting, emotional abuse, manipulation, DARVO, blame-shifting, or chronic conflict, this episode will help you recognize the pattern.

This Narc Free Man Podcast episode also covers how to protect your clarity, recognize manipulation, document patterns, strengthen boundaries, stop chasing apologies, and break the cycle of constant conflict.

This is not about diagnosing anyone with narcissistic personality disorder.

It is about recognizing repeated relationship patterns like:

Gaslighting
Blame-shifting
Silent treatment
DARVO
Victim-playing
Emotional punishment
Rewriting history
One-sided apologies
Chronic conflict without repair

Healthy relationships have conflict.

Unhealthy relationships have the same conflict over and over with no genuine repair.

If you are constantly apologizing just to restore peace, you may not actually have peace.

You may have learned how to surrender.

If you are dealing with a narcissistic wife and trying to understand what is happening in your marriage, this episode will help you see the pattern more clearly.

Life After Divorce: What Really Happens Month By Month (For Men)11 sept. 202600:16:42

Life after divorce is harder than anyone warns you — and then something changes around month five that almost nobody talks about. In this video I walk you through all five stages, month by month, so you know exactly what's coming when it comes to healing from divorce..

Phillip C. Dugas breaks down the reality of divorce recovery for men month by month—from the shock and survival of the first few weeks, through the anger and loneliness of months two and three, to the moment the fog begins to lift and you finally start recognizing yourself again.

If you are separated, preparing for divorce, recently divorced, or trying to rebuild your life after a high-conflict marriage, this episode is designed to show you what may be ahead—and remind you that healing after divorce is rarely a straight line.

The first few months can feel brutal. Sleep may be disrupted. Your emotions may swing between grief, anger, relief, guilt, and loneliness. You may replay old conversations, question your decisions, or wonder whether leaving was a mistake.

But that does not necessarily mean you are going backward.

One of the most important ideas in this episode is this:

Don't judge your recovery by one bad day. Judge it by the direction of your life over time.

Phillip walks through the different stages many men experience after divorce: the survival stage of month one, the emotional crash that can happen in months two and three, the clarity that often begins emerging around months four through six, the rebuilding phase of months seven through twelve, and what life can begin to feel like once divorce is no longer the center of your identity.

For men divorcing a woman with strong narcissistic or high-conflict behaviors, the experience can be different. There may be attempts to pull you back into the relationship, sudden affection, hostility, legal conflict, manipulation involving the children, or continued attempts to provoke the same emotional reactions that worked during the marriage. This episode explains why maintaining boundaries, reducing unnecessary conflict, and using clear written communication can become especially important.

You'll also hear why loneliness can make men vulnerable to returning to an unhealthy relationship or jumping into a new relationship before they are ready.

Before dating again, ask yourself:

Am I looking for someone—or am I just trying not to be alone?

Those can feel like the same thing after divorce. They are not.

The goal of divorce recovery is not revenge.

It is not proving your ex wrong.

It is not becoming successful so she regrets losing you.

It is getting yourself back.

Your routines.

Your friendships.

Your confidence.

Your peace.

Your relationship with your children.

Your ability to look in the mirror and recognize the man looking back.

Phillip also shares three practical principles that can help men move through the rebuilding process: getting around other men who understand what you are experiencing, moving your body consistently so stress has somewhere productive to go, and finally stopping the exhausting attempt to make your ex understand or admit what she did wrong.

You do not need her agreement to know that something hurt you.

And you do not need closure from the person who created the confusion before you can start rebuilding your life.

He Got Everything Men Want… Then Lost Himself | Vince Del Monte08 sept. 202600:57:36

What happens when a man gets everything he thought he wanted—money, success, status, a family, and the physique—but still loses himself?

In this episode of the Narc Free Man Podcast, Vince Del Monte opens up about the hidden cost of chasing success, the breakdown of his marriage, divorce, fatherhood, and the painful process of rebuilding his identity from the inside out.

Vince shares how becoming a successful entrepreneur and making millions initially felt like freedom. But underneath the achievement was something he couldn't see at the time: a need for approval, acceptance, significance, and validation.

The more he achieved, the more he wanted.

Eventually, his identity became attached to what he had, what he accomplished, and what other men thought of him.

Then his marriage fell apart.

Vince shares the moment he realized he couldn't simply fix his marriage or business—he had to confront himself. Through therapy, faith, grief, and honest self-examination, he began uncovering wounds and beliefs he had carried for decades.

In this conversation, we discuss:

• Why successful men can still feel like they're not enough
• The hidden "success trap" many ambitious men fall into
• Vince's experience with separation and divorce
• What happens when a man's identity is built on achievement
• The connection between rejection, approval, and male identity
• Why unprocessed pain can follow men into marriage and business
• Taking ownership instead of blaming your ex
• What men should NOT do after separation or divorce
• Why men need other men who will tell them the truth
• Healing after divorce and rebuilding your life
• Navigating divorce as a father
• Protecting your relationship with your children after a breakup
• Faith, surrender, forgiveness, and personal responsibility
• How men can rebuild without allowing failure to define them

This isn't just a conversation about divorce.

It's about what happens when the things a man uses to define himself—his marriage, money, career, status, accomplishments, or reputation—are stripped away. He's forced to answer a much deeper question:

Who am I without all of it?

If you're a man going through divorce, separation, rejection, relationship problems, a loss of identity, or a difficult season of rebuilding your life, this conversation with Vince Del Monte is for you.

What a Man Married to a Narcissistic Wife Carries31 août 202600:13:55

If you're living with a narcissistic wife, you may feel like you're carrying the entire weight of your marriage while constantly walking on eggshells.

You work. You provide. You take care of the kids. You try to keep the peace. But behind closed doors, you may also be dealing with silent treatment, false blame, gaslighting, emotional punishment, and the feeling that nothing you do is ever enough.

In this episode of The Narc-Free Man Podcast, Philip Dugas breaks down the invisible weight many men carry in a narcissistic marriage—and why it can leave you exhausted, isolated, and questioning your own reality.

You'll learn:

• The difference between normal marital conflict and a destructive pattern of control
• Why walking on eggshells keeps you constantly on high alert
• How silent treatment can become a form of punishment
• How false blame and gaslighting can cause you to doubt yourself
• Why some men become the "safe parent" for their children
• What years without peace can do to your sense of identity
• Four first steps toward seeing the situation clearly and getting support

If you've ever thought, "No one sees what I'm carrying," this conversation is for you.

You don't have to figure everything out today. But you can begin by seeing the pattern clearly, naming what's happening, finding someone safe to talk to, and rebuilding trust in yourself.

Why Good Men Keep Ending Up With Narcissistic Women: 7 Patterns Keeping You Stuck28 août 202600:23:27

Why Good Men Keep Ending Up With Narcissistic Women

Different woman.

Different relationship.

Different circumstances.

But somehow you keep ending up with the same feeling: walking on eggshells, trying harder, fixing everything, apologizing to keep the peace, and wondering how you lost yourself again.

That may not simply be bad luck.

It may be a relationship pattern you learned long before you ever met her.

In this episode of The Narc Free Man Podcast, Phillip C. Dugas breaks down 7 patterns that can make good, responsible, successful men vulnerable to toxic relationships and narcissistic relationship dynamics.

You'll discover why some men unconsciously minimize unhealthy behavior, try to earn love through performance, take responsibility for a partner's emotions, abandon their boundaries, confuse emotional intensity with intimacy, become addicted to rescuing, and believe that being a strong man means enduring almost anything.

One of the biggest ideas in this episode:

Familiar does not mean healthy.

Sometimes the relationship feels strangely familiar because the emotional dynamic resembles something you learned to adapt to years ago.

And those adaptations may have once protected you.

Today, they may be keeping you stuck.

Phillip breaks down seven patterns:

You were taught to make unhealthy behavior smaller.
You explain away criticism, emotional withdrawal, disrespect, or manipulation because minimizing conflict feels safer than confronting it.
You learned that love had to be earned.
When she becomes unhappy, your instinct is to work harder, provide more, communicate better, apologize more, and become the perfect husband.

But self-improvement becomes self-abandonment when you're using it to earn basic respect.

You became the fixer.
Her anger becomes your problem. Her disappointment becomes your responsibility. Eventually, restoring her emotional stability becomes a full-time job.
Boundaries feel selfish.
You say no, she becomes upset, and five minutes later your no becomes a yes.

A boundary that disappears whenever someone becomes angry isn't much of a boundary.

Chaos feels like chemistry.
Intense attraction, nonstop communication, emotional highs and lows, and instant connection can feel powerful.

But intensity is not intimacy.

Character reveals itself over time, especially when someone is disappointed, frustrated, challenged, or told no.

You need to be needed.
Capable men are often problem-solvers.

That strength can become dangerous when your identity becomes tied to rescuing someone who refuses to take responsibility for herself.

You believe a strong man should endure everything.

This may be the most damaging rule of all.

Men are taught to push through, protect everyone, provide, fix problems, remain strong, and keep the family together.

But endurance without wisdom can become self-destruction.

Strength is not measured by how much suffering you can silently absorb.

Sometimes strength sounds like:

"No."

"This cannot continue."

"I need help."

Or:

"I will not lose myself trying to keep this relationship together."

The goal of this episode isn't to blame your childhood or obsess over diagnosing another person.

It's to recognize the patterns you can actually change.

Because once you understand the rules you've been unconsciously following, you can start writing new ones.

And the most important new rule is this:

I am responsible for the man I become from here.

Not responsible for changing her.

Not responsible for controlling her emotions.

Not responsible for convincing everyone else.

Responsible for your decisions, your standards, your health, your fatherhood, your friendships, your faith, your work, and your future.

That is where your power comes back.

Why Narcissists Refuse to Understand You20 août 202600:10:00

If you want dating advice for men or if you feel like you're constantly explaining yourself to a female narcissist but your honesty is never truly heard, this video is for you. In a toxic relationship, communication can become exhausting, especially when your words, vulnerabilities, and personal struggles are twisted and used against you later.

In this episode, Phillip C. Dugas explores why narcissists may refuse to understand you, how emotional manipulation can cause you to lose your voice, and why trying harder to explain yourself may not solve the real problem.

You'll discover how your honesty can become weaponized in an unhealthy relationship, why you may eventually stop sharing how you really feel, and what you can do to begin finding your voice again.

Most importantly, consider this question:

"Why am I working this hard to be understood by someone who decided not to understand me?"

You don't need a diagnosis of Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) to recognize unhealthy patterns and decide you need clarity and a plan.

7 Things You Should NEVER Say to a Female Narcissist20 août 202600:12:16

There are seven sentences that make everything worse with a female narcissist. Most men say all seven before they figure it out. In this episode I go through each one — what she hears, what happens next, and exactly what to say instead.

The rule underneath all seven: never hand her something she can use.

7 THINGS YOU SHOULD NEVER SAY TO A FEMALE NARCISSIST

"You're a narcissist"
"Calm down"
"Remember when you said that?"
"I'm sorry" (when you're not)
"I've been unhappy for years"
"I told someone about us"
"I'm done. I'm leaving."

WE ALSO COVER:

• Why proof and receipts never win an argument with her
• Why apologizing to end a fight makes the next one longer
• What happens when you tell her you're unhappy
• Why you should absolutely talk to people — just not announce it to her • Why announcing you're leaving hands her a head start
 • What to say instead of each one
• Where your honesty was supposed to go all along

This is for any man married to or leaving a narcissistic wife or girlfriend, walking on eggshells at home, or trying to stop losing the same argument over and over. You're not bad at communicating. You're communicating with someone who uses it as material.

Which of the seven did you say? Tell me in the comments — I read every one.

How a Narcissistic Wife Breaks a Good Man (⚠️ Watch This Alone)19 août 202600:10:45

In this episode of the Narc Free Man Podcast, Phillip C Dugas explains how a narcissistic wife slowly breaks a good man, psychologically and emotionally, and why so many men sensed something was wrong years before they let themselves admit it.

This isn't about one dramatic event. It's about the quiet erosion that happens inside a marriage like this: how a loyal man slowly loses trust in his own judgment, and why decent, patient, hard-working men are especially vulnerable to manipulation, trauma bonds, and emotional conditioning.

WE COVER:
- Why good men end up with narcissistic women
- Narcissistic abuse and emotional manipulation in marriage
- Trauma bonds and why you can't just leave
- Why men explain away red flags they saw in year one
- Gaslighting and the slow loss of self-trust
- Walking on eggshells and nervous system burnout
- Covert narcissists and quiet psychological control
- Why intensity at the beginning is not the same as safety
- Being traumatized by what never happened
- Where healing actually starts — and why it isn't her apology

This episode is here to help you understand what actually happened to you, reconnect with the instincts you talked yourself out of, and stop treating your own loyalty like it was the problem.

If you've ever felt anxious in your own house, drained, disconnected from the man you used to be, or like you slowly disappeared inside your own marriage — you weren't weak, and you weren't too sensitive. You were overloaded for a very long time.

One of the hardest questions a man asks after loving a narcissistic woman is:

"Did she ever actually love me?"

If you were married to or dating a **female narcissist**, the relationship may have felt incredibly intense in the beginning.

She seemed to understand you.

She made you feel chosen.

She may have told you that you were different from every man before you.

Then, over time, the relationship changed.

The affection became criticism.

The connection became control.

The conversations became gaslighting, blame-shifting, silent treatment, and emotional confusion.

And now you're left wondering whether any of the good moments were real.

In this video, I break down what **narcissistic love** can look like, why the beginning of the relationship can feel so powerful, and why so many men stay emotionally attached to the woman they first fell in love with even after the relationship becomes toxic.

Brother, sometimes the question keeping you trapped isn't:

"Why did she treat me this way?"

It's:

"What if she really did love me and I'm giving up too soon?"

This video is about helping you separate **love from intensity, connection from control, and hope from the repeated pattern.**

You don't need to diagnose your wife or girlfriend to recognize when a relationship is costing you your confidence, peace, and sense of self.

If you're dealing with a **narcissistic wife, female narcissist, narcissistic abuse, gaslighting, emotional manipulation, or a toxic relationship**, subscribe to **The Narc Free Man Podcast** for new videos designed to help men find clarity, rebuild themselves, and move forward.

This Pattern Exposes a Female Narcissist Every Single Time14 août 202600:05:14

There's one thing a female narcissist never does after a fight: she never brings it back up. Not to apologize. Just to finish the conversation. In this video I break down why that single pattern exposes the whole dynamic, and the simple test you can run this week to see it for yourself.

Finishing a conversation requires believing there's a "we," and being willing to end up partly wrong. If the fight was a contest instead of a problem, then once it's won the topic is worthless — and there's nothing to come back to. That's why she can scream at midnight and make pancakes at eight.

Run the test: next fight, don't reopen it. Count the days. Then put the number in the comments.

How to Build Discipline When Life Falls Apart | Navy SEAL JJ Parma11 août 202600:54:00

How do you build discipline when life falls apart — especially when you no longer trust yourself to follow through?

In this episode of the Narc Free Man Podcast, Phil sits down with retired Navy SEAL officer JJ Parma to discuss discipline, purpose, resilience, leadership, failure, fitness, and rebuilding your life.

After serving 21 years in the Navy SEALs, JJ learned that real discipline isn't about being the toughest person in the room. His approach is much more practical: build small, positive behaviors and repeat them until they become part of who you are.

One of the biggest mistakes people make when trying to rebuild their lives is attempting to change everything at once.

JJ's advice?

Start with one thing.

Keep one small promise to yourself. Build one positive behavior. Repeat it consistently. Once it becomes a pattern, add another.

In this conversation, you'll learn:

• How a Navy SEAL defines discipline
• How to build self-discipline through small daily wins
• Why discipline and toughness aren't the same thing
• Why trying to change your entire life at once can backfire
• How to rebuild trust in yourself after repeatedly breaking your own commitments
• What the Navy SEALs taught JJ about staying effective when plans fall apart
• How to stop dwelling on failure and focus on what you can control
• Why physical fitness and movement are central to JJ's daily discipline
• How JJ approaches fitness and aging after leaving the SEAL teams
• Why failure can become a launching point instead of an identity
• How to find purpose during major life transitions
• JJ's concept of the "4th Phase" of life
• Why every man needs a "swim buddy" and meaningful connection
• Lessons in leadership, resilience, brotherhood, and rebuilding

Whether you're recovering from a difficult relationship, starting over after failure, struggling with consistency, or simply trying to become a more disciplined man, this episode is about taking ownership of what you can control today.

You don't have to rebuild everything today.

Start with one thing.

The Narcissist Is Ashamed of Her Toxic Behavior, But She'll Never Admit It — Here's Why05 août 202600:29:36

She knows. That's the part almost nobody explains: a narcissistic wife often does feel shame about her toxic behavior — she just can't survive admitting it. In this episode I break down exactly what happens in the four seconds after she realizes she was wrong, and why every conversation ends with you apologizing.

You'll learn the difference between guilt and shame and why that difference explains everything. You'll learn why the worst behavior always gets the most aggressive denial. And you'll learn The Shame Loop — the four-move sequence that runs almost every time:

The Flinch — the half-second tell that proves it registered
The Flip — shame converted to anger and aimed at you
The Rewrite — history edited so the shame has nothing to attach to
The Reset — the loop closing with no accountability

Plus five things to do instead of building a case she'll never accept.

How a Narcissistic Ex-Wife Uses the Kids After Divorce10 juil. 202600:39:09

A lot of men think the chaos will stop once the divorce is final.

But sometimes the marriage ends… and the control does not.

In this episode of The Narc Free Man Podcast, Phillip C. Dugas breaks down how a narcissistic ex-wife uses the kids after divorce to maintain control, create emotional chaos, punish boundaries, and keep a father reacting instead of responding wisely.

When you share children with a narcissistic ex-wife, co-parenting can become one of the most painful parts of the divorce process. The kids may become messengers, leverage, emotional weapons, or part of a larger smear campaign designed to make you look like the angry, unstable, unreasonable dad.

In this episode, Phillip explains how a narcissistic ex-wife may:

Use the kids as messengers between adults
Position herself as the fun parent while making you look strict or angry
Use schedules, custody exchanges, and parenting communication to punish you
Shape your children's view of you through subtle parental alienation
Use your love for your children as leverage
Pull you back into emotional arguments disguised as co-parenting
Bait you into reactions that can be used against you

This episode is for men dealing with divorce from a narcissistic wife, co-parenting with a narcissist, parental alienation, gaslighting, emotional manipulation, high-conflict custody, and the painful reality of trying to protect your peace while staying connected to your children.

Brother, your goal is not to beat her at her game.

Your goal is to stop playing the game.

You are not crazy.
You are not weak.
You are not a bad father because you are struggling.

You may be dealing with a pattern.

If you are dealing with a narcissistic wife or ex-wife and need language for what you have been living through, check out Phillip's book Co-Parenting With Her, available now on Amazon.

Listen to this episode to understand the patterns, protect your mind, and become the calm, grounded, stable father your children need.

10 Reasons to Leave a Narcissistic Woman19 juin 202600:17:21

In this episode of The Narc Free Man Podcast, Phillip C. Dugas breaks down 10 reasons why a man should leave a narcissistic woman — especially when the relationship has become emotionally destructive, confusing, and impossible to repair.

Many men stay in toxic marriages and relationships because of guilt, fear, kids, money, faith, loyalty, or the hope that if they just communicate better, love harder, or sacrifice more, things will finally change.

But when you are dealing with a narcissistic woman, the pattern often gets worse over time.

You may find yourself constantly apologizing, walking on eggshells, questioning your memory, losing your confidence, shrinking in your own home, and feeling like every conversation becomes a trap.

This episode is for the man who feels emotionally drained, blamed, gaslit, isolated, and no longer like himself.

Phillip covers:

  • Why narcissistic women rarely take true responsibility
  • How narcissistic abuse slowly changes your identity
  • What gaslighting does to your confidence and memory
  • Why she may be charming in public but cruel behind closed doors
  • How constant tension destroys your peace and mental health
  • Why some narcissistic women use children as weapons
  • How every conversation becomes a trap
  • Why conditional love keeps men stuck and trauma bonded
  • How isolation keeps men dependent and confused
  • Why deep down, many men already know the truth

This episode is not about revenge.

It is about clarity.

It is about recognizing the pattern.

It is about protecting your peace, your children, your future, and the man you are supposed to become.

If this episode describes your life, do not ignore it.

You are not crazy, brother.

You never were.

4 Signs a Female Narcissist Knows She Lost Control15 juin 202600:27:47

A female narcissist does not panic when you yell, cry, explain yourself, or defend your side of the story. She expects that. She knows how to use that.

But when you stop reacting, stop chasing, stop begging for peace, and stop defending yourself against every lie and accusation, that is when she starts to realize something dangerous:

She is losing control over you.

In this episode of Narc Free Man, Phillip C. Dugas breaks down 4 signs a female narcissist knows she lost control over you — including smear campaigns, hoovering, emotional baiting, false victimhood, and the moment her mask starts slipping.

This episode is for men dealing with narcissistic wives, female narcissists, toxic relationships, gaslighting, emotional manipulation, trauma bonds, divorce, and high-conflict co-parenting.

You'll learn why a female narcissist may try to control the story when she can no longer control you privately, why she may suddenly act sweet or pull you back into chaos, and why staying calm, factual, and emotionally grounded is one of the most powerful things you can do.

This is not about revenge.

This is about recognizing manipulation, protecting your peace, documenting what matters, and becoming impossible to control.

If you've been walking on eggshells, reacting to every accusation, defending yourself against lies, or trying to prove your heart to someone who keeps twisting your words, this episode will help you get clear.

Most men do not realize they have been mentally abused by their wife because the abuse does not always look obvious.

It may not be screaming, hitting, or public humiliation.

Why Self Improvement Doesn't Work After Narcissistic Abuse19 mai 202600:11:05

Many self-improvement methods fall short after experiencing narcissistic abuse, not due to personal weakness, but because the brain and body enter a prolonged survival mode. This video highlights why standard self improvement advice often fails when you are in a recovery journey from toxic relationships. Understanding this state is crucial for true emotional healing and regaining your mental health.

Most self-improvement advice is useless after narcissistic abuse — and nobody talks about why. If you've tried the gym, journaling, cold showers, and still feel stuck, this video will finally explain what's actually going on. After leaving a toxic relationship with a female narcissist, your nervous system isn't running on motivation — it's running on survival. The standard self-improvement tips men get don't account for trauma bonding, identity erosion, or the hypervigilance that narcissistic abuse leaves behind. Until you address THAT, no habit will stick. In this video I break down: • Why conventional self improvement advice backfires for narc abuse survivors • What your brain and body are actually doing post-abuse (and why it's not weakness) • The specific approach that rebuilds identity from the inside out • What to do THIS WEEK to start moving forward If you're a man recovering from a toxic relationship, high-conflict divorce, or emotional abuse at the hands of a female narcissist — this channel was built for you.

Co-Parenting With a Narcissistic Ex: The Playbook for Fathers17 mai 202600:29:36

Are you co-parenting with a narcissistic ex-wife?

If you're a divorced or separated father trying to co-parent with a narcissist, you already know something most people don't: the relationship doesn't end when the divorce is final. It changes form.

In this episode of the Narc Free Man podcast, Philip Dugas breaks down what really happens when you share children with a narcissistic ex — and why traditional co-parenting advice often makes things worse.

This is not normal co-parenting.

This is high-conflict custody, emotional manipulation, parental alienation tactics, smear campaigns, and a court system that doesn't always see what's happening behind closed doors.

In this episode, you'll learn:

  • Why co-parenting with a narcissistic ex feels like a battlefield
  • The difference between cooperative, parallel, and counter-parenting
  • The 3 long games narcissistic mothers play: alienation, destruction, and chaos
  • How reacting gives your ex more control
  • How to communicate in a way that protects you in family court
  • How to document without becoming consumed by the fight
  • What to say to your kids when they're caught in the middle
  • How to become the steady father your children need

If you're dealing with parental alienation, custody battles, manipulative text messages, or feeling like every interaction is a trap — this episode is your playbook.

You cannot go no-contact when you share kids.

So what do you do?

You stop reacting.
You start documenting.
You play the long game.

Philip also previews his upcoming book Co-Parenting With Her, a tactical survival guide for men navigating co-parenting with a narcissistic ex after divorce.

If you're a father in the long middle of high-conflict co-parenting, this episode will give you clarity, strategy, and steadiness.

You're not crazy.
You're not weak.
And you're not dealing with normal co-parenting.

No Contact vs Silent Treatment: The Truth About Narcissistic Women27 avr. 202600:24:39

No Contact vs Silent Treatment: The Truth About Narcissistic Women | Narc Free Man Podcast

In this episode, we break down one of the most misunderstood dynamics in narcissistic relationships: the difference between no contact and the silent treatment.

If you're dealing with a female narcissist, emotional manipulation, or a toxic relationship, this episode will give you the clarity most men never get. Because what you think is "space" or "healing" from her… is often a calculated strategy designed to pull you back in.

As discussed in this episode, you and her are not playing the same game.

When you go no contact, you're trying to heal, protect yourself, and rebuild your life. When she goes silent, she's not healing. She's running a play.

In this episode, you'll learn:

  • The 4 stages of no contact and how men actually heal from narcissistic abuse
  • The 4 stages of a narcissistic woman's silent treatment cycle (punishment, waiting, hoovering, discard)
  • Why trauma bonding creates withdrawal symptoms that feel like addiction
  • How to tell if you're truly healing or still stuck in the cycle
  • The psychological difference between emotional detachment vs manipulation tactics
  • 5 real-world tests to determine if it's your no contact or her silent treatment
  • Why breaking no contact doesn't mean you're weak—it means you're conditioned
  • How to stay grounded and avoid getting pulled back into a toxic relationship

This episode goes deep into narcissistic behavior, gaslighting, trauma bonding, emotional abuse, and relationship patterns that keep men stuck longer than they should be.

You'll also learn why many men confuse a narcissist's silence with growth or healing—and how that misunderstanding leads them right back into the same toxic dynamic.

If you're currently in no contact… or thinking about it… this may be the most important episode you hear all week.

Because the moment you understand the pattern, you stop reacting emotionally and start leading yourself.

This episode is for you if:

  • You're dealing with a narcissistic wife or girlfriend
  • You're confused by her silent treatment or mixed signals
  • You're trying to break a trauma bond
  • You want to stop going back to a toxic relationship
  • You're ready to rebuild your life and take your power back

If you're trying to understand a female narcissist, this episode breaks down the most common narcissistic behavior, signs of narcissism, and patterns tied to narcissistic personality disorder (NPD). We dive deep into understanding narcissists, identifying key narcissistic traits, and exposing how narcissism in women shows up through manipulative behavior, emotional control, and hidden tactics. You'll learn the real narcissistic characteristics behind narcissistic women, including emotional manipulation, how to identify a narcissistic woman, and the most overlooked narcissistic personality traits in females. If you're struggling with coping with a narcissistic girlfriend, dealing with a narcissistic wife, or navigating female narcissism and relationships, this episode gives you clarity on narcissism, what a narcissist actually does, and how NPD patterns impact your confidence, identity, and peace.

In this episode of the Narc Free Man Podcast, I break down the 15 signs of a narcissistic woman so you can finally see the pattern clearly and stop second-guessing yourself.

Because here's the truth, most men don't realize until it's too late…

She doesn't show you who she really is in the beginning.
She shows you who you want her to be.

She studies you, mirrors you, and pulls you in. Then slowly, the dynamic shifts. What felt like connection turns into confusion, criticism, and control.

This episode will help you identify:

The difference between normal conflict and narcissistic patterns
How love bombing turns into devaluation and emotional manipulation
Why you feel confused, drained, and stuck in the relationship
The psychological tactics narcissistic women use to maintain control
How these patterns impact your confidence, clarity, and identity

Most importantly, this episode gives you the awareness you need to stop blaming yourself and start understanding what you're actually dealing with.

This is not about labeling someone.

This is about recognizing patterns so you can protect your peace, your future, and your identity as a man.

If you're currently in a toxic relationship, going through a breakup, or trying to rebuild after narcissistic abuse… this episode is for you.
