| Original Sin S1E9-10: Blood Drive & Code Blues | 24 Feb 2025 | 00:55:44 | |
Don't cry because it's over, cry because it happened. After ten episodes of permanently altering their brain chemistry for the worst, Eric and Daniel have arrived at the end of Dexter: Original Sin. For now. Will Aaron Spencer end up with an interesting motivation for his crimes? Will Laura Moser posthumously become interesting? Will Gio, Sofia, or Tanya matter in the slightest? Only one way to find out. Daniel bemoans the nonsense "choice" Dexter is given. Eric is dumbfounded by just how nothing most of the characters are. They both remain perplexed at this season's popularity and hope history will prove them right.
| Original Sin S1E7-8: The Big Bad Body Problem & Business and Pleasure | 23 Feb 2025 | 00:25:18 | |
In this season's penultimate podcast episode, Eric and Daniel have truly never felt more lost, and Daniel has potentially never felt more despair. After a brief moment of doubt, their instincts about the True Culprit ends up being correct, it's the police! Deb's relationship fizzles out and it turns out the boring vagrant murders were Brian All Along! Don't you feel dumb now that this bad storyline was actually about someone you care about... Daniel loses all hope. Eric wonders who the hell this show is for. They both are in absolute awe that this show is being praised.
| Lost S6E9-10: Ab Aeterno & The Package | 28 Nov 2023 | 00:23:28 | |
We have crossed the halfway point of season 6, and if what you have been waiting for is the answer to "what in the world is this ageless man's DEAL anyway?" Boy do we have an episode for you. As great as our Richard episode is, Sun and Jin continue to be amazing characters who unfortunately don't have much to do. Daniel questions Jacob, Eric delights in teasing the final fate of our characters.
| Season 5 Part 3: First Blood & Everything Is Illumenated | 01 Dec 2020 | 00:27:28 | |
Eric and Daniel have been a lot of things. They've been elated. They've been distraught. They've been disappointed. But for the first time in this odd podcast journey, they're...kinda speechless? A series of two odd, ODD episodes leaves them unsure how to feel about the episodes or the season as a whole, even though one of them thinks they might like them quite a lot. Will things make more sense next week? Oh who knows.
| Season 5 Part 2: Practically Perfect & Beauty and the Beast | 24 Nov 2020 | 00:40:09 | |
Uh oh. Daddy and Daddy are fighting. Eric and Daniel have their first real diagreement about episode quality of the series, at least until Eric realizes his expectations might literally be in the toilet. Daniel calls out Batman and chucks up an airball during Changing Character Names. Eric admits when a someone pulls off his fashions sense better than he ever could. They both once again have a minor existential crisis due to Ghost Harold. This episode features a twist ending you will not see coming.
| Season 5 Part 1: My Bad & Hello, Bandit | 17 Nov 2020 | 00:34:45 | |
We've passed the halfway point (for now) of this strange journey as Eric and Daniel say hello to Dexter Season 5. Dexter doesn't know how to express his feelings and murders a man in a bathroom(never to be spoken of again). Daniel is shocked by how much he loves the premiere except for Ghost Harry and introduces a fun new segment. Eric is apprehensive about what the future of the season might hold and already is nervous about the subplots. They both are convinced this season cannot be worse than season 2, but they've been wrong before.
| Season 4 Part 6: Hello, Dexter Morgan & The Getaway | 11 Nov 2020 | 01:04:44 | |
It's been two straight seasons of more disappointments than not, and Eric and Daniel are happy to officially report that Season 4 LIVES UP TO THE HYPE. They add some fun (?) new details to the Ghost Harry Lore because the alternative is just accepting that he's awful. Eric loves the parallels between Dexter and Deb and realizes Captain Houseboat Will Not Be Redeemed. Daniel is shocked that he thinks The Bench and The Hat ends up being one of the strongest relationships on the show and spends a lot of time dodging Eric's questions about future seasons and giving him answers to things he didn't want to know.
| Season 4 Part 5: Hungry Man & Lost Boys | 03 Nov 2020 | 00:34:10 | |
Season 4 is crescendoing at an alarming rate as Eric and Daniel talk about the best two episode stretch of the show in 3 seasons. We have a shocking revelation about Masuka. The Trinity storyline is near perfection. Ghost Harry and Elliot should be sent to the Hague. Eric...likes the Bench and the Hat? Daniel thinks this season is a perfect culmination of the storytelling of seasons 1-3 and steals a joke from Mitch Hedberg. They both cannot wait for the finale and what they assume to be their last hurrah.
| Season 4 Part 4: Slack Tide & Road Kill | 27 Oct 2020 | 00:34:57 | |
After much deliberation and some hesitation, Daniel and Eric are prepared to say that overall Dexter season 4 is...actually pretty good? After the rollercoasters seasons 2 and 3 put them through, what a relief. Eric has allergies. Daniel likes to see The Hat in pain and is hitting his breaking point with Ghost Harry. They lament the fact that Arthur dancing is not used as a GIF nearly as much as it was 10 years ago. The Fan Favorite Segment has a BIG day today.
| Season 4 Part 3: Dirty Harry & If I Had A Hammer | 20 Oct 2020 | 00:35:57 | |
Are we on the up and up again? The Trinity stuff is all working well, and while there is definitely still some nonsense going on this season, it doesn't feel as bad as in previous seasons. Daniel distills down Deb storylines and for some reason remains convinced that this podcast needs more singing. Eric is again taken aback by how much of a Loose Cannon Cop Deb is. Daniel and Eric THROW DOWN over whether or not Spiteful Rita works.
| Revival Reactions Emergency Pod | 15 Oct 2020 | 00:30:34 | |
Y'all... | |||
| Season 4 Part 2: Blinded By The Light & Dex Takes A Holiday | 13 Oct 2020 | 00:31:33 | |
Stop us if you've heard this one before, y'all, but Eric and Daniel have some conflicted thoughts on these episodes. Trinity is good/great depending on who you ask, but almost everything else leaves a lot to be desired (except for Vince Masuka's Truck). We're once again reminded that the true villain of Dexter...is subplots. Daniel for some reason decides this podcast needs more singing. Eric wants to slightly mutate Changing Character Names. They lose their minds at the sight of Grundy's hat.
| Season 4 Part 1: Living the Dream & Remains to be Seen | 06 Oct 2020 | 00:33:58 | |
Eric and Daniel are back at it again with the much revered season 4 of Dexter. And they're digging it so far! Or maybe they're just so happy that Grundy is back on screen and that Michael C. Hall finally gets to sing that they can forgive any other transgressions. Daniel blindly guesses the themes of The Sopranos. Eric continues to be flummuxed by The Hat's ongoing sex appeal. They are both absolutely baffled by Cody's swimming habits.
| Lost S6E7-8: Dr. Linus & Recon | 21 Nov 2023 | 00:28:28 | |
If there is one way to get your boys Daniel and Eric excited for Lost, it's to let Michael Emerson do his thing while they sit back and marvel. We get some unexpected catharsis and possible redemption for our favorite villain, while Daniel is stunned that a Claire/Kate scene can be really touching? They wonder about Michael playing PS3 and have maybe the most ill-advised recap yet.
| Season 3 Part 6: I Had A Dream & Do You Take Dexter Morgan? | 29 Sep 2020 | 01:01:10 | |
Season 3 of Dexter had so much promise. And then...
| Season 3 Part 5: About Last Night & Go Your Own Way | 22 Sep 2020 | 00:39:41 | |
If y'all have heard a high pitched ringing in your ears the last week, it was the sound of Eric and Daniel's enthusiasm for the season slowly leaking out like air from a balloon. Miguel has gone off the edge. The Skinner is boring. Everything involving Deb/Anton/Quinn is a hot mess. But at least we get to enjoy Quinn's Problem Solving Skills this week. Eric has a stroke and thinks that Captain Matthews is going to become "a nice guy." Daniel decides to take a new segment into uncharted territory.
| Season 3 Part 4: Easy as Pie & The Damage A Man Can Do | 15 Sep 2020 | 00:35:00 | |
Season 3 is still going on...what high praise from Eric and Daniel this week. At least the Dexter and Miguel stuff is still pretty good! Daniel thinks the Camilla story might be the best subplot on Dexter thus far. Eric thinks basically every other subplot this week is pure trash.
| Season 3 Part 3: Turning Biminese & Sí Se Puede | 08 Sep 2020 | 00:35:23 | |
Well, it's that part of a Dexter season again: the part where Daniel and Eric start to feel...a little bit concerned. A little bit disappointed. Aside from Miguel and Dexter, Eric thinks the things that work are good but not great. Daniel introduces a new segment that he thinks has a lot of potential. They both think Dexter is acting like a spoiled child when it comes to marriage. And if you had "another inexplicable It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia reference" on your #AutopsyDexter season 3 bingo card, mark it down!
| Season 3 Part 2: The Lion Sleeps Tonight & All in the Family | 01 Sep 2020 | 00:33:15 | |
Dexter season 3 continues to chug along and Eric and Daniel are...really enjoying themselves overall? Oh sweet, sweet relief. Daniel thinks Rita isn't concerned enough that Dexter might be having a stroke during long voice-over pauses. Eric loves Dexter "performing normalcy." They are both dumbfounded by how fundamentally sad Angel "The Hat" Batista is. They passionately fight over, of all things, whether or not Vince Masuka intentionally made a sex joke.
| Season 3 Part 1: Our Father & Finding Freebo | 25 Aug 2020 | 00:32:19 | |
Eric and Daniel could not be happier to have put season two in the rearview mirror. They hope season 3 is greener pastures, and there is a lot to like in the first two episodes! Miguel Prado is immediately a welcome, interesting presence...but then there's Quinn. And it's not just Quinn. The Forbidden One finally appears.
| Season 2 Part 6: Left Turn Ahead & The British Invasion | 18 Aug 2020 | 01:06:04 | |
Well y'all, season 2 was much more of an emotional journey than Eric or Daniel were expecting, and they're here to give you all their thoughts in a super sized season finale episode! There will be segments, surprises, and hope for the future. At least in the moment.
| Season 2 Part 5: Resistance is Futile & There's Something About Harry | 11 Aug 2020 | 00:30:22 | |
After struggling mightily through the last few episodes, Eric and Daniel have some strong things to say about these two. They both absolutely love the chemistry that Doakes and Dexter have in their scenes together, as well as the show's willingness to show Dexter as a monster, at least for now. Eric discusses the Hat climaxing. Daniel proposes an alternate season 2 universe that is so much worse. They both create a half-segment about two actors switching roles for reasons that even they do not understand.
| Season 2 Part 4: That Night, A Forest Grew & Morning Comes | 04 Aug 2020 | 00:36:30 | |
Eric and Daniel continue their watch of Dexter season 2 and report that it is...better? Maybe? They have more or less the same issues as before, but the episode does go into some unexpected territory. At this point, they're mostly just hoping that season 3 is better and that maybe, just maybe, they'll get more terrific scenes between Dexter and Lundy. Eric suggests erotic fanfiction. Daniel suspects Lila might be using a system on Dexter.
| Season 2 Part 3: The Dark Defender & Dex, Lies, and Videotape | 28 Jul 2020 | 00:37:07 | |
Season 2 hits the halfway point and Eric and Daniel are...unsure of how to think. They both love Lundy but still aren't feeling Lila, who has been the focus of the season. But they're both still hopeful the wonderful cat and mouse game between Dexter and Lundy that they remember happening will ramp up in these next few episodes. Eric says Lundy should be in a Grunge Band. Daniel is enthralled to bring a segment out of retirement.
| Lost S6E5-6: Lighthouse & Sundown | 14 Nov 2023 | 00:26:01 | |
Boy with how long we've heard about the Temple and how much fanfare there was to get there, you sure would think it would matter more, wouldn't ya? Fortunately we get a Very Emotional Jack to usher us through these episodes, even though Sayid continues his latter season stretch of disappointment. Where does season 6 go now? Hopefully somewhere interesting!
| Season 2 Part 2: An Inconvenient Lie & See-Through | 21 Jul 2020 | 00:43:35 | |
Well, that escalated quickly.
| Season 2 Part 1: It's Alive! & Waiting to Exhale | 14 Jul 2020 | 00:27:18 | |
After season 1 shattered their rewatch expectations, Eric and Daniel are back for season 2 and the famous Bay Harbor Butcher plot. They both love how much pressure Dexter is under early this season, particularly from Doakes, but they're a little weary about how some of the subplots are shaping up. Also, Eric introduces Daniel's most favorite new segment.
| Season 1 Part 7: Born Free | 07 Jul 2020 | 00:38:25 | |
Eric and Daniel's rewatch of Dexter season 1 is in the bag. Turns out, this is a pretty remarkable season that all future seasons are going to have a helluva time living up to. Daniel loves how tense every scene is. Eric loves how competent everyone at Miami Metro is. They both can't wait to watch season 2! That's the season that's all about the hunt for the Bay Harbor Butcher...isn't it?
| Season 1 Part 6: Seeing Red & Truth Be Told | 30 Jun 2020 | 00:28:07 | |
Season 1 hits its crescendo as we find out about Dexter's mother and the Ice Truck Killer's identity is finally revealed to the main characters. Daniel has Dexter dreams. Eric is out of character names. They both love the Maria LaGuerta Memorial Bench?!? Tune in next week for their thoughts on the finale as we bring what has been an excellent season of television to a close. Sure to be the first of many great Dexter seasons...right?
| Season 1 Part 5: Shrink Wrap & Father Knows Best | 23 Jun 2020 | 00:33:39 | |
Dexter season 1 continues to impress your hosts this week as Dex goes to therapy and has some daddy issues. Doakes also has a YIKES subplot which aged poorly when we recorded this episode and has only aged worse. Daniel confused episodes and seasons. Eric gives Rudy a new name and hates the sex scenes. They both can't wait to watch the next episodes!
| Season 1 Part 4: Return to Sender & Circle of Friends | 16 Jun 2020 | 00:35:08 | |
Our rewatch of Dexter Season 1 continues as the season really begins to pick up the pace. In this episode, Eric loves how the show balances the past and the present. Daniel loves pork sandwiches. They both loves these two episodes! Surely this hot streak will continue indefinitely...
| Season 1 Part 3: Let's Give the Boy a Hand & Love, American Style | 09 Jun 2020 | 00:30:46 | |
Eric and Daniel continue their rewatch of Dexter season 1 to see what the show does quite well and what it does not so well. Join them as the Ice Truck Killer plot continues to develop and Doakes has a subplot that...exists. Eric hates Rudy's flirting. Daniel renames a segment. They both forget Jamie Murray's name.
| Season 1 Part 2: Crocodile and Popping Cherry | 02 Jun 2020 | 00:33:43 | |
Fortunately for you, unfortunately for Eric and Daniel, they couldn't perform a full autopsy in just one episode. This week they continue their watch of season 1. They love the opening credits, Eric thinks The Hat and Vince Masuka are gross, Daniel annoys Eric with "foreshadowing," and both of them dive deep into the podcast's first ever Segment Segment. Join us for Pork Sandwich Watch and Changing Character Names!
| Season 1 Part 1: Pilot | 26 May 2020 | 00:34:53 | |
Tonight's the night. After years of deliberation and false starts, Eric and Daniel begin their journey to try to find out what killed Showtime's Dexter. In this pilot episode, they rename Angel Batista, praise the first episode, criticize the show as a whole, and gush over the magnetic screen presence of Erik King as James Doakes. Maybe next week they'll even remember to do a recap of the episode!
| Lost S6E3-4: What Kate Does & The Substitute | 07 Nov 2023 | 00:40:30 | |
After a brilliant season premiere, what better way to chase it than with a Kate episode? Because if there is one thing that will make Kate stand out as a character, it's pairing her with Claire, another character who has struggled to remain compelling! Fortunately, after this lackluster episode we get to meet DR. BENJAMIN LINUS, restoring balance to the universe.
| Lost S6E1-2: LAX | 26 Sep 2023 | 00:32:20 | |
Here we are! The final season of Lost where we somehow find out there's another POV change besides flashback and flashforward. After an inconsistent season 5, Eric and Daniel are both very intrigued by where this final season can go. They ponder the implications of the Smoke Monster and Ash circles, and Daniel may or may not be gaslighting Eric about something he said with respect the future Kate episodes. We'll find out next week!
| Lost S5E16-17: The Incident | 22 Aug 2023 | 00:56:38 | |
Do you hear that? That was the sound of the Greatest Conspiracy Theory of ALL TIME reaching its end. Long may it reign. Our first Jacob episode asks a lot of questions about just how old this conflict over the island has been, and you have to wonder, where in the world do we go from here?
| Lost S5E13-15: Some Like It Hoth & The Variable & Follow the Leader | 15 Aug 2023 | 00:33:45 | |
It's another triple decker for Eric and Daniel, as they reached the climax of season 5, but before that get to have a delightful romp with our two characters who can talk to ghosts, witness the fated demise of one of their favorite new characters, and watch as things start to collapse around the idyllic lives Sawyer and Juliet built for themselves. Daniel can't wait to be proven 100% right about his pet theory for the show. Eric cheated and already watched the finale. They'll both be ready to talk about it next week!
| Lost S5E11-12: Whatever Happened, Happened & Dead is Dead | 08 Aug 2023 | 00:33:10 | |
This week as Eric and Daniel continue season 5, they enter what feels like eerie territory as what appears to be a scene from Dexter involving a supermarket and a blond child infiltrates their Lost season. While a Kate Episode tries to bring them down, the dynamic between Locke and Ben continues to be riveting, as we get another close look a the Smoke Monster and have to wonder, what's this things deal?!?
| Lost S5E9-10: Namaste & He's Our You | 01 Aug 2023 | 00:28:06 | |
If you're a fan of diverging opinions, here's the episode for you! One of your dear hosts is really feeling these two, and the other thinks the show might be threatening to fall apart at the seems. Well, that may be a slight exaggeration, but they are on opposite sides of the spectrum here. We dive into the past in a focus free episode, and Eric thinks we're starting to get a bit repetitive with some of our flashbacks. But hey, flashbacks ar back! Time is nice and simple and easy to understand now.
| Lost S5E7-8: The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham & LaFleur | 25 Jul 2023 | 00:32:02 | |
Lost season 5 has some...growing pains as we finally learn more about the mysterious "Jeremy Bentham," but do we actually learn anything? Eric has issues with a pretty crucial death in the series but Daniel doesn't think it's a big deal. Back on the island, time gets pretty messed up much to Daniel's delight. Where in the world do we go from here?
| Original Sin S1E5-6: F is for F*** Up & The Joy of Killing | 22 Feb 2025 | 00:29:07 | |
We have crossed the fifty yard line of Dexter Original Sin, and it's time to ask the important question: has anything actually happened on this show? Dexter and Harry butt heads as Debra and Dexter get high and bond. Daniel thinks everyone's psychology is all wrong. Eric thinks he's cracked the code on the killer. They both wonder just how low this season may end up in their rankings.
| Lost S5E5-6: This Place is Death & 316 | 18 Jul 2023 | 00:23:00 | |
We're keeping it brief this week, folks. Lost season 5 continues it's...gradual ramp up leaving Eric and Daniel hoping that dominos will really start to fall next week. At least they are all finally (?) back on the island. Daniel is somewhat satisfied by more details about what happened to the French, but Eric is frustrated by some sloppiness that comes along with it. They're both waiting for the other shoe to finally drop.
| Lost S5E3-4: Jughead & The Little Prince | 11 Jul 2023 | 00:29:04 | |
We dive deeper into Lost season 5. Things are going...okay so far. We have the return of Harrison (err, Aaron), Locke being chaotic, and despite the seeming inevitability of answers, they continue to elude us.
| Lost S5E1-2: Because You Left & The Lie | 04 Jul 2023 | 00:35:41 | |
It might be the fourth of July, but Eric and Daniel take no holidays! Except for the month long one they took earlier this summer but we digress. Lost season 5 begins and the separation of flashback/flash forward/present time/on island becomes...a little murky to say the least. Daniel gives a recap of Kingdom Hearts and Eric wants to bust out the Xbox 360 to play Lost Via Domus. It's gonna be a good season.
| Lost S4E12-14: There's No Place Like Home | 27 Jun 2023 | 01:21:48 | |
After quite the delay, Eric and Daniel are back to send off Lost season 4. We get answered, we get a lot of questions, we get a character in a casket, and we get CONFIRMATION that a polar bear moved the island before. Daniel praises the hell out of Sun and Jin. Eric leads Daniel to the intersection of time and space and islands. They both are excited for how bonkers this show continues to get.
| Lost S4E9-11: The Shape of Things to Come, Something Nice Back Home, & Cabin Fever | 25 May 2023 | 00:42:26 | |
Lost season 4 is ready to hit its climax, but first we have to see what the heck is going on with Jack, Locke, and Ben as we wonder what is going on with Christian (The Smoke Monster?), Claire, and poor Alex. How are the Oceanic Six gonna get off of the island next time? We'll find out!
| Lost S4E7-8: Ji Yeon & Meet Kevin Johnson | 16 May 2023 | 00:33:09 | |
If you clowns have been paying any attention at all during this watch of Lost, you know that Eric and Daniel love a good Sun/Jin episode. So BOY HOWDY are they excited by the narrative trickery that is Ji Yeon. Daniel's hopes and dreams for an Astral Projecting Walter are crushed forever, but some dreams are too beautiful to live on forever. Get ready for back to back Jumbo Episodes as we'll be doing three episodes each of the next two weeks, and then somehow season 4 is done!
| Lost S4E5-6: The Constant & The Other Woman | 09 May 2023 | 00:32:00 | |
If you had told Daniel after he watched Flashes Before Your Eyes, one of the best episodes of television of all time, "Oh yeah, there's another time travel Desmond episode coming up that a lot of people think is even better," he would've called you a liar. Enter, The Constant. An episode so great it manages to make up for our first less than stellar Juliet episode. Daniel almost figured out an important plot point but puts it through Google translate a few too many times. Eric continues to adore Daniel (Faraday, not his dumb cohost). They both wish they had a bro as great as Sayid in The Constant.
| Lost S4E3-4: The Economist & Eggtown | 02 May 2023 | 00:24:33 | |
After a riveting opening to the season, we get a few plot heavy episodes that don't really move the plot forward all that much, which Daniel Faraday can probably explain how that is possible. Sayid grows a majestic set of hair as Kate does he best Marie from Breaking Bad impression and snatches dat baby. Daniel thinks Jack is bald. Eric grows more weary of the episodes as things go on. The both (shocker) find Kate annoying. This is a big episode for fans of references to The Stormlight Archive or Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors.
