Don't cry because it's over, cry because it happened. After ten episodes of permanently altering their brain chemistry for the worst, Eric and Daniel have arrived at the end of Dexter: Original Sin. For now. Will Aaron Spencer end up with an interesting motivation for his crimes? Will Laura Moser posthumously become interesting? Will Gio, Sofia, or Tanya matter in the slightest? Only one way to find out. Daniel bemoans the nonsense "choice" Dexter is given. Eric is dumbfounded by just how nothing most of the characters are. They both remain perplexed at this season's popularity and hope history will prove them right.

In this season's penultimate podcast episode, Eric and Daniel have truly never felt more lost, and Daniel has potentially never felt more despair. After a brief moment of doubt, their instincts about the True Culprit ends up being correct, it's the police! Deb's relationship fizzles out and it turns out the boring vagrant murders were Brian All Along! Don't you feel dumb now that this bad storyline was actually about someone you care about...

Daniel loses all hope. Eric wonders who the hell this show is for. They both are in absolute awe that this show is being praised.

We have crossed the halfway point of season 6, and if what you have been waiting for is the answer to "what in the world is this ageless man's DEAL anyway?" Boy do we have an episode for you. As great as our Richard episode is, Sun and Jin continue to be amazing characters who unfortunately don't have much to do. Daniel questions Jacob, Eric delights in teasing the final fate of our characters.

Uh oh. Daddy and Daddy are fighting. Eric and Daniel have their first real diagreement about episode quality of the series, at least until Eric realizes his expectations might literally be in the toilet. Daniel calls out Batman and chucks up an airball during Changing Character Names. Eric admits when a someone pulls off his fashions sense better than he ever could. They both once again have a minor existential crisis due to Ghost Harold. This episode features a twist ending you will not see coming.

We've passed the halfway point (for now) of this strange journey as Eric and Daniel say hello to Dexter Season 5. Dexter doesn't know how to express his feelings and murders a man in a bathroom(never to be spoken of again). Daniel is shocked by how much he loves the premiere except for Ghost Harry and introduces a fun new segment. Eric is apprehensive about what the future of the season might hold and already is nervous about the subplots. They both are convinced this season cannot be worse than season 2, but they've been wrong before.

It's been two straight seasons of more disappointments than not, and Eric and Daniel are happy to officially report that Season 4 LIVES UP TO THE HYPE. They add some fun (?) new details to the Ghost Harry Lore because the alternative is just accepting that he's awful. Eric loves the parallels between Dexter and Deb and realizes Captain Houseboat Will Not Be Redeemed. Daniel is shocked that he thinks The Bench and The Hat ends up being one of the strongest relationships on the show and spends a lot of time dodging Eric's questions about future seasons and giving him answers to things he didn't want to know.

Season 4 is crescendoing at an alarming rate as Eric and Daniel talk about the best two episode stretch of the show in 3 seasons. We have a shocking revelation about Masuka. The Trinity storyline is near perfection. Ghost Harry and Elliot should be sent to the Hague. Eric...likes the Bench and the Hat? Daniel thinks this season is a perfect culmination of the storytelling of seasons 1-3 and steals a joke from Mitch Hedberg. They both cannot wait for the finale and what they assume to be their last hurrah.

After much deliberation and some hesitation, Daniel and Eric are prepared to say that overall Dexter season 4 is...actually pretty good? After the rollercoasters seasons 2 and 3 put them through, what a relief. Eric has allergies. Daniel likes to see The Hat in pain and is hitting his breaking point with Ghost Harry. They lament the fact that Arthur dancing is not used as a GIF nearly as much as it was 10 years ago. The Fan Favorite Segment has a BIG day today.

Are we on the up and up again? The Trinity stuff is all working well, and while there is definitely still some nonsense going on this season, it doesn't feel as bad as in previous seasons. Daniel distills down Deb storylines and for some reason remains convinced that this podcast needs more singing. Eric is again taken aback by how much of a Loose Cannon Cop Deb is. Daniel and Eric THROW DOWN over whether or not Spiteful Rita works.
