Episode 5 - Repeating Patterns

samedi 8 mars 2025Durée 19:06

Send us a text

In this episode, I reflect on turning 40 and how I realized I was just repeating a pattern from a decade ago. I also share some personal anecdotes and insights about women's resilience, and the societal structures that impact women's lives in light of International Women's Day.

I also highlight the importance of awareness and how it's ok to get into a pattern but becoming aware of it is the first step into making changes for it. I also touch on honoring mothers and understanding the cyclical nature of women's lives.

The episode concludes with a meditation focused on self-acceptance and gratitude.

PSA - I forgot to finish off saying at the start of the episode - I am not against rebranding and changing outdated terminology but I think it's safe to say I am not trying to shame anyone[s body image by using the word "fat" in the way I did at the start of this episode. I did forget to finish my story about the Fat Controller's name change because I do agree with the fact there is no need to name a character after their body image!

I did warn you all that my thought train goes off on a tangent sometimes and I forget to come back to what I was saying!!!

Anywayyyyy....

Episode 2 and I discuss the overwhelming pressures of societal expectations and the struggle for individuality.

I speak about my struggle with conformity and rebellion, exploring the paradox of wanting to fit in while also desiring to stand out. Find out how and why I started podcast - this story really emphasizes the importance of authenticity and self-empowerment.

Basic takeaway is - Do things YOUR way - whatever feels comfortable for you. F*ck what everyone else is doing - if you don't like it, don't do it!

The episode concludes with a 1 minute healing meditation, encouraging listeners to connect with their own energy and desires.

In the inaugural (why does word always remind me of Trump now??!!) episode of the 111 Approach Podcast, host Lakhmi shares her personal journey from a skeptical scientist to an Intuitive Reiki Master.

She discusses growing up being able to perceive energies that weren't visible to most people, her background in science and the medical field, her introduction to Reiki, and how it transformed her understanding of energy healing.

Lakhmi emphasizes the importance of self-care and wellness, offering listeners insights into the power of energy and the body's ability to heal itself.

The episode concludes with a 1 minute healing meditation, inviting listeners to connect with their true selves.

She has also realized that she has mixed in writing in the third person and first person - but hey - this is what you signed up for... the randomness and quirkiness will prevail throughout! She is also wondering does anyone even read the show notes?? Let me know - remember to download, rate, review and subscribe! Tag me on socials - @the111approach

Episode 12 - The Most Important Topic In The World

Episode 12 .... The Topic To End All Topics....

In this conversation, I speak about the challenges of making difficult decisions, particularly in the context of friendships and relationships. I touch on the importance of radical acceptance and communication, and I share some of my own personal experiences that highlight the need for open dialogue.

I also bring to the table the significance of letting go, finding one's voice, and the power of self-reflection through the 1 Minute Meditation at the end.

This was a bit of a choppy and rant-y episode but I hope it helps someone who maybe struggling with their need for open communication - I really do believe all of us need to open up more, listen more and be more truthful in how we honestly feel within ourselves and each other. Surface level shit is just not cutting it these days - at least for me anyway.
