Tennison & Ginelle Barry
Fréquence : 1 épisode/10j. Total Éps: 166

Our mission is to develop relationally powerful people, communities, families and teams through transformational experiences and coactive coaching! We help people "Live Relationally Well", as they experience healthier and deeper relationships with God, themselves, and others.
This Podcast is an extension of our mission. We believe that God has designed us to live from Joy in a thriving community. We define Joy as - "the deep knowing, through relational experience, that someone is glad to be with you no matter what." That is the good news!
We believe that true spiritual formation, character transformation, and personal and spiritual resilience, happens in communities where attachment, belonging, and identity exist. In this Podcast we will explore topics and give practical tools that, when practiced, will strengthen relational health, making living in deeper, more authentic community possible.

Wisdom Keepers: w/Marlene Allen - Deeply Rooted Elders
Saison 3 · Épisode 32
samedi 1 mars 2025 • Durée 25:17
"(Elders)... they are not running, they are this steady force,...whenI speak to you,...I am not going anywhere. You might run off, but I will be right here waiting for you when you come back...That's what Elders get to do. They are creating space for people to be there best self." ~ Marlene Allen
Elders are so important in building relationally healthy communities. Without them we are missing a key part and it's nearly impossible. What is the role of elders in community? What does healthy community look like? How do we glean their wisdom? In this new series, Wisdom Keepers: The Role of Elders in Building Relationally Healthy Community not only will these questions and many more be answered, the answers will come directly from Elders.
True Elders bring stability, shade, and strength to their communities. Elders who are deeply rooted, know who they are and can see those around them through the eyes of heaven are invaluable in their community. But what happens when Elders pull up their roots and try to replant themselves in a different community? Can they ever regain the depth of connection? Can they grow taller and stronger? Will their branch provide the covering they once did? If so, how?
Join Tennison and Ginelle as they begin a new conversation with Life Model Works Executive Director, Marlene Allen. She is an author, teacher, mentor, networker, licensed minister, and joy-starter. Her passion for teaching spiritual principles to young people led to a forty-plus-year journey of serving in schools and churches. Marlene is called ‘Momma Marlene’ by most, and she truly is and 'Momma' to all.
Listen in as Marlene talks about her own journey of up rooting and replanting. Discover how she continued to be 'Momma Marlene' in her new community.
You don't want to miss out on the wisdom and joy that explodes through this podcast.

Response To Mars Hill ~ Part 3
Saison 1 · Épisode 62
mardi 1 février 2022 • Durée 24:27
What do you do when you find yourself embedded in a narcissistic church culture? Should the leadership be removed altogether or can resteration happen and the leaders continue to lead? What would it take to change the culture? Who is at fault when narcissistic leadership emerges? Join Tennison and Ginelle as they conclude this conversation around these questions and much more on this episode of The Table and Well Podcast.
Mars Hill Church was founded in 1996 by Mark Driscoll, Lief Moi and Mike Gunn, and in 2014 the church was dissolved. Between those two dates, this church went on a wild ride. Christianity Today produced a 10 episode podcast called the Rise and Fall of Mars Hill. As we listened to this expose, we felt, in light was our last series on the Half Brained Church, we needed to respond to this podcast. This is not finger pointing, or heaping on, this is our heartfelt conversation about the hurt, disappointment, and trauma that comes from being involved in churches that are being lead by narcissist leaders and what we can do to heal and ultimately prevent this from happening.
