While the majority of what I love teaching and working with people on is creating and launching a signature online course (because Passive Income is just the coolest thing ever... but moreso, it allows you to have time to rest... support your family and pursue other passions in life!) - we've worked many, many times with health and wellness business owners on their 1:1 services.

Specifically, what I love working with coaches and practitioners on is how to create more of an automated and easier discovery call process so that you can free up time to serve your people and show up for your audience, and we do this by being really strategic with our packages, and then usually, leveraging things like Facebook and Instagram Ad funnels and simple yet strategic email sequences - to make that happen.

Maybe you love 1:1 services, maybe you're just getting started and want more experience in order to find out your best flow and get some revenue and testimonials through the door, and so whatever the reason, in today's episode we're talking about how you can get more discovery calls in order to get more sales, and to be truthful (especially the last tip) so much of this is stuff I don't see anyone else really talk about, but it's things we implement with all of our Mastermind and 1:1 clients and it works really well.

How to deal with Trolls and Triggered People (Ep.25)

By popular demand we're releasing an episode of the podcast on How to deal with trolls and triggered people—and I wanted to include that second part in there because yes, sometimes you'll get trolls (but often they're easy to deal with because trolls are just folks intentionally trying to cause some mischief) but what's harder and hits harder emotionally - is triggered people who are raging or attacking you.

And over the years in the Well Conceived Mastermind, we've worked with many coaches and practitioners who've experienced constructive and negative feedback either publicly or privately, as well as uncovering that there are many coaches and practitioners out there who are afraid to write anything even remotely controversial or have an opinion in case they ever experience trolls or triggered people.

What you need to understand though: is that if you ever want to have a successful business, you need to understand that this is an inevitable part of doing business, and... if you are always so ever conscious of never ruffling any feathers in your business, you'll likely never grow.

The reason being is that people don't resonate and buy from vanilla.

They resonate and buy from:

Pineapple on pizza

Baked chocolate cookie ice cream with chocolate swirl

And sometimes when you repel people (hint: why I never worry about unfollows on Instagram FYI) is because the people you repel were likely never going to buy from you (or potentially anyone) anyway, but... the people who see that you have an opinion that you're different from the sea of lemmings out there in the internet space, are the people who are going to deeply resonate and identify with you... and lead to the sale.

So in this episode, I'm talking all about my experience and some of the feedback I've received from my audience over the years, why I don't take it personally and how I decide what to do next with posts and content that have received feedback.

Today on the podcast I'm talking about 8 uncommon things I did in the early days of growing my business (that most people won't do) and I'm talking about this as I'm feeling reflective about the growth that we've accomplished in my life coaching brand.

We're in the midst right now of launching my signature program, The Reset for the final time ever so that I can create more spaciousness in my life moving forward - which I'm thrilled about, and this morning I checked our insights on Instagram and we're tracking with reaching 230k accounts in the last month, as well as recently hitting the 1 million downloads mark on the podcast. Our Pinterest also continues to gather views for our website and posts (even though I haven't been active there in almost a year) - we're sitting at 213k monthly views and all we've published there is repeating posts from years ago.

So how did I do it?

And this is what I want to address today. Not by just posting on Instagram 3 x per week.

It's easy to look at someone who has a larger account and see their success and think that's all it takes, but full disclosure - in the start it might be a fair whack of work!

So in today's episode I talk to you about 8 of the things I did in the early days of my business to set up the foundations that we have today.

What type of product should you create first in your online business? (Ep.23)

If you're working in health and wellness in any capacity (life coach, dietician, naturopath, acupuncturist - any profession that focuses on physical, emotional or spiritual wellbeing and health) - you've probably been trained to offer single sessions to frow your business, and if you've been following me for a while you know that's absolutely not the approach I recommend.

Why? Because you've probably created your business so that... in essence, you could make a living working more flexible and probably part-time hours, and don't want to sacrifice income in order to have that... and even if you're just starting out and feeling like you just want to make some money - I guarantee that deep down, you don't want to make chump change.

Single sessions appear great on the outside - like OMG I'm earning $120 per hour, but when it boils down - you're likely only going to be keeping 50% of that as take-home pay (at best) and then you'll probably spend more than double that time doing tasks that are necessary for growth, prospecting and admin - like bookkeeping, handling enquiries, professional development, website edits, social media etc.

That means that when all is said and done, you'll probably walk away with an income that is more like $30 per hour - and only that amount if you're full.

So... you've probably spied the internet and maybe searched things like 'passive income ideas for naturopaths' and wondering what product do you create next? Do you stick with 1:1 sessions (and how do you make that more sustainable? Do you create an online course? Or do you create a $27 ebook or collection of resources? In this episode, I'll walk you through which product you'll likely want to create and when the right time is to create each different type of product in your business.
