Ever felt overwhelmed with trying to balance motherhood and entrepreneurship? As a single mom and business owner, I've had to let go of certain habits that were hindering my growth in both these roles. One of these was the fear of firing clients who simply didn't align with my vision, causing unnecessary stress. Sharing personal stories and experiences, I take you through my journey, discussing how giving up such habits has brought peace and consistency in my professional and personal life.

Parenthood brings a dramatic shift in priorities, especially for single moms. I've learned to delegate tasks better, let go of people-pleasing behaviors, and most importantly, I've learned to stop sweating the small stuff. The realization that my daughter's well-being is paramount has helped me deal with business-related stressors more effectively. I also share some invaluable feedback I've received along my journey and invite seven-figure coaches seeking ad management to join my agency. Brace yourself for an eye-opening discussion that might inspire you to reassess and transform your own life.

Revealing my takeaways from 100 Conversations I've had with coaches and course creators11 Jul 202300:24:08

When trying to scale their business, coaches sometimes fall prey to certain misconceptions, especially about digital marketing strategies. One such misconception involves the role of ads, which some mistakenly regard as a miracle solution that can replace organic marketing completely. However, in reality, it's not an either-or situation. Ads and organic marketing efforts should work in unison, complementing each other to create a robust and effective marketing strategy to reach the target audience.

In this episode, I will be sharing what I learned in my first 100 sales calls, allowing you to understand ads and potentially be validated in some of your struggles.

In this episode, I talk about:

  • The 4 common misconceptions surrounding ads use in online coaching businesses.
  • The normalcy of income fluctuations within the coaching industry.
  • The challenges with realities on social media.
  • The significance of a solid sales process for successful ad campaigns.
  • The necessity for knowing your metrics in order to scale your business.

My dream was freedom to travel where I wanted while doing what I loved, but I just didn’t have the confidence to make it happen. I found a way to navigate through my own limiting beliefs to leave the corporate world, built my business and traded my things for a backpack of clothes to travel the world.

How much does it cost to outsource your funnel?17 Aug 202000:16:32

There are a few factors to consider before investing in a funnel.

Maybe you’re really tech-savvy but don’t know the strategy behind building a successful funnel, you might not have to outsource the entire process to a funnels consultant.

Or your business desperately needs a funnel to help sell your product but you have ZERO time to commit to building one yourself.

That’s okay! What works for someone else might not work for you.

In this episode of the Scaling to Freedom podcast, I’ll go over four different options for building a funnel, from most expensive to least expensive.

What you will learn:
What each option does and does not include, who each option is most suited for, where to find each option to get started, and the average price of each option.

Things I mentioned:
I am a funnels consultant and I offer a few different options. You can check out all of my service offerings on my website at www.christinaberhnard.com/services.

Funnels can involve a lot of work to set up, so before you dive headfirst, you need to make sure that building a funnel is right for your business.

Although there are SO many benefits to funnels, if you’re not quite sure what their purpose is and what exactly they can do for your business, you may still be hesitant on building one.

About Christina Bernhard

I grew up like many 90’s kids in Texas did. On hotdogs, mac and cheese and hamburger helper. I didn’t know a thing about health and by the time I got to college, those bad habits caught up to me - way too soon in life. While I somehow managed to stay thin, I felt horrible and I wanted to know if there was a better way to live.

A million books, blogs, kitchen adventures, nutrition label studying in every grocery aisle later, I transformed my entire life and became obsessed with wellness. I almost instantly became a vegetarian yogi that traveled and went to retreats and personal development seminars.

As I transitioned from college into the corporate world, I grew into career and skills until I was the marketing and creative director at a large law firm in Texas and built a marketing department that never existed before me. I excelled in my career doing what I loved and still found myself unfulfilled wondering if there was something else out there for me.

After all those years of personal and professional transformations, I found myself with a dream and an ounce of confidence that I could maybe make it happen. I started creating the habit of breaking through my comfort zone and got so good at it I eventually let go of all things comfortable, quit my job, packed up my home, traded my belongings for a backpack of clothes and went on a journey to travel the world doing what I truly love.

I’m paying back the wellness industry for changing my life in the best way I know how - helping online wellness businesses go all in on their business and connect with the people that need them through Facebook Ads and marketing funnels.

My mission to inspire others to go all in on their dreams, spread their message and connect with the people that need them.

Build a resilient business that can survive uncertain times13 Apr 202000:08:19

In uncertain times we are reminded more than ever the importance of building something strong. Seeing how things can change at any moment to affect your business is a reminder that we need to focus on the foundation. We must make sure that our businesses can survive uncertain times and we are doing our part to put these pieces together for the sake of our business and our purpose.

This week I’m discussing what it means to build a business with more resilience, having a strong foundation and how to achieve that as an online business owner. There are many strategies to grow your business without taking the foundation into consideration, but only to have it swept away if the world around you changes.

We are changing things up. Making sure we have systems in place, loyalty is high and we can face these times head on and know that our business isn’t going anywhere. Listen to this episode to learn how you can build a business that can withstand challenging times.

In this episode, I discuss:

  • What it means to be resilient
  • How to build a strong foundation for your business
  • How to build a loyal audience
  • What to do with your audience
  • How to build a high-converting community
  • What will support your business in hard times

Things I mentioned:

If you feel like you need these systems in place to create a more resilient online business, check out my consulting packages where I build resilient online businesses using email marketing, funnels and Facebook Ads.

How you can help the COVID-19 Pandemic06 Apr 202000:15:28

It’s a very unique time in the world right now and it’s affecting us all in very different ways. I’m sure you’re tired of hearing about the coronavirus, but as a business owner we have to know how to handle this time.

What do we do next? How do we “pivot” (hot word right now!) and adapt to this? Some people are trying to figure out how to stay in business, while others are finding ways to use their businesses to help.

One thing that is amazing about YOU is that I already know you have so much to offer in this time of such great need. While so many people have ways to help, there is a level of guilt I’ve been hearing about (and was even experiencing myself!) about selling in a time like this.

How can I really go sell to people in a time like this? Shouldn’t I just give it all for free right now? I mean, the world is falling apart!

This is why I’m addressing this on the podcast this week! I’m also talking about how we can show up as a lead right now and what we need to do in this time to keep our businesses moving forward.

In this episode we talk about:

  • Why it’s okay to sell right now and how to throw away guilt of selling during tough times
  • Ways to show up as a leader in a time like this
  • How to keep your business moving forward
  • Action steps checklist to help during COVID-19 Pandemic

Three Facebook Ad campaigns to grow your business23 Mar 202000:10:40

As a solopreneur, I know what it’s like to not have a huge budget to work with. When I transitioned from creating marketing strategies for a law firm with a lot of resources to my own marketing strategy with a much smaller budget, I’m sure you can imagine they looked quite different.

I had to be extra selective with what would bring the highest return since I couldn’t do it all. Facebook ads is where I put my money and it paid off in so many ways. The audience I grew with paid ads would have taken me an eternity to do organically

If you’re interested in getting started with Facebook ads or are curious how they could fit into your business, this episode is for you.

In this episode you will learn:

  • How Facebook ads can get you started in growing your business
  • Why you should start NOW and not wait
  • How FB ads can grow your biggest asset for your online business
  • How NOT to use Facebook ads when starting out
  • How Facebook ads can support your launch or sales

How to get results with Instagram ads16 Mar 202000:13:07

If you aren’t using Instagram ads, you could really be missing out on the results you are looking for. If you are implementing Facebook Ads in your marketing strategy, it’s possible that you are using Instagram ads, but you don’t know it.

Instagram ads are a placement option in Facebook ads, so if you choose “automatic placements” in your ad set, you are likely putting your ad to instagram as well.

This can be a good thing, but it could also be better. In this episode, I walk you through the right way to use Instagram ads so you don’t waste your ad money and you can use the platform to your advantage.

When creating Instagram ads, there are parts of it that should be done differently. I will walk you through what those are, as well as examples of Instagram ads to get you started!

In this episode you will learn:

  • The difference between Facebook Ads and Instagram Ads
  • Why Instagram ads should be different from Facebook Ads
  • What should be different in your ad creatives
  • Examples of good Instagram ad ideas to get you started

About Christina Bernhard

Marketing is where I have found my home and what I can do for hours on end without it feeling like work.

I started my career with a journalism degree and running a marketing department in the corporate world. I began freelancing on the side and marketing quickly became my life.

Through my last few years of freelancing and coaching, I noticed a trend of wellness business clients. As someone into wellness herself, I loved these projects and decided to take things to a new level and help as many businesses as I can in this industry I feel so strongly about.

I began the journey of turning away everything that wasn't wellness-related to gain as much experience as possible on projects I love and now it's all I do.

I'm now in a place where I want to make an even bigger impact and serve more people outside of my one-on-one clients. Can you relate?

I've learned from my clients that they feel this way too about their wellness services. So, I'm putting all of my strategies on paper and giving wellness professionals everything they need to expand their business to a successful online brand that attracts their target audience and helps them make an even bigger impact with their gift.

If you're ready to grow this thing, I've got you.

Breaking Introvert Stereotypes: Building a Business Your Way with Lindsay Maloney06 Jun 202300:24:07
This is your sign to follow your heart24 Feb 202000:10:25

Everyone has that one thing in their mind that they reaaallllyy want to do, but it might seem crazy or out of reach. So much so that we might not even call it a DREAM. Because that would make it even more real than we’re willing to make it.

THOSE are the dreams I’m talking about. While this episode is a bit different than what I’m usually sharing with you, it’s not random. For me anyway. If you follow me on Instagram, you will know that I recently quit my full time job to pursue a passion of mine.

I have been building Your Wellness Marketer alongside my full time job for the past two years, as well as freelancing and building a clientele, which I did for many years - because I love this stuff.

Not only did I quit my job to pursue my dream of helping wellness businesses spread their message, but I decided to travel and see the world while I did it. Slowly of course, so I can put in mad hours into my business, which I wouldn’t want any other way!

I hope this episode sparks something in you to really go for what you want.

In this episode, I share:

  • How I make huge decisions like this one!
  • My formula for reducing the stress around big leaps
  • How I followed my heart
  • What ultimately made me make this huge leap
