We discuss Nedd's day to day nutrition strategy, what numbers we were aiming for when he was training for the event, the types of foods we were prioritising, our training nutrition strategy and we break down his nutrition and hydration during the event itself including how many calories a day he was consuming, how many carbs, what supplements he was taking and what the event was like as a whole.

Chris Jaffrey and Michael Baines are Alexander Volkanovski's S&C Coach and Physiotherapist. They have been responsible for building Volks physique and keeping him healthy for entire UFC career. Chris and Michael both work out of South Coast Health Hub, the premier training facility for athletes on the South Coast where they train elite level athletes in MMA, Rugby league, Triathlon, and much more. 

 

In this episode, we discuss everything you need to know about S&C for MMA fighters, as well as how to treat and prevent the most common injuries seen in the sport. We discuss the role they both have and continued to play with Volks career and discuss what his training and rehab schedule looks like when he isn't in the MMA gym.
