Hello Adventurers! While our last episode was all about our journey through Dawntrail as it was happening, this one is looking back at after finishing the Mainline Story Quest (colloquially known as the MSQ). Since we are now in the thick of Patch 7.1: Crossroads, we wanted to make sure to take a beat before the patch hit and get our thoughts out before the game continues to change and grow.

Joining us in reminiscing of uh, times not all that long passed, is our pal Umi aka Doug from OSMcast proper. He gives us a blow by blow of all the Jobs he’s been playing since the new expansion came out, and came up with some excellent sound design tips! And how about that MSQ , huh? From 1988 to 1989, the anime studio Gainax gave us a six episode OAV(OVA?) series known as Gunbuster. It had it all: Giant robots, space aliens, ladies from an all-girls school training in giant robots to fight the space aliens, the whole nine yards! Then in 2023, Discotek Media gave an outstanding Blu-ray release of that show complete with a brand new English dub handled by Sound Cadence Studios. And then in 2024, the OSMcast! gave the world a podcast about Discotek Media’s Blu-ray release of the anime Gunbuster by Gainax. But also joining us to talk about Gunbuster is Melissa Sternenberg, the voice of Kazumi Amano from the Sound Cadence Studios English dub production for the Discotek Media Blu-ray release of the anime Gunbuster by Gainax. Happy Labor Day! This is the holiday where we celebrate the good, hard-working folks over at NERV.  Their tireless efforts to protect us from those dastardly Angels and their constant attempts at creating the Third Impact. And who is the hardest working person there? Well, it would be none other than the wonderful, talented, and won't hurt us at all ever, Asuka Langley Soryu!

What we are getting at here is that this is an interview at Hamacon  with renowned voice over artist Tiffany Grant, known best for her role as said Asuka Langley Soryu from Neon Genesis Evangelion. 

So, kids. When two podcasts like each other very much, they have a crossover episode. And when the OSMcast! and Third Impact Anime both like the works of Masaaki Yuasa and studio Science Saru? They have an episode about the movie  The Night Is Short, Walk on Girl, adapted from the novel by Tomihiko Morimi.

Protip: This crazy experiment was recorded live at Hamacon 10. This is also the first time we have tried such a thing, so the audio is a little weird here and there. But still pretty listenable! 

Continuing on our journey through all the interviews we took part of at Momocon 2019, here's the one with Keith Silverstein! Who is that you may ask? Well, he has done a lot! Many will know him as Torbjörn from Overwatch, or maybe Char Aznable from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin. Just all sorts of things! But he will forever hold a special place in our hearts around this parts, as Johnny Boya from mother flippin' REDLINE. 

As we continue the adventures of SS Momocon 2019, here is an interview we got to take part in with Zach Callison! He is probably best known giving the voice to a wonderful kid we know as Steven Universe. It's a show we kinda like. Enjoy! 

So if you haven't noticed yet, we had a ton of interviews at this past Momocon! In this one, we chatted with Deedee Magno Hall! Not only is her name amazing, she herself was also amazing as Pearl, in a cartoon people like to call Steven Universe. As... that is the cartoon's name.

She was also Princess Jasmine in Disney's Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular for many years, as well as Nessarose in Wicked! She knows how to carry a tune, is all we are saying here. 

From Momocon 2019, we got the chance to talk to Carolina Ravassa! Or as you Overwatch kids may know her as, Sombra. 

So sure. maybe some other major video games expo may be happening right now, but what about what has happened before? Like, say, Momocon a few weeks back. We were there, and played an absolute non-literal ton of indie video games. These are those stories.

We're back from Momocon, and here to serve you with one of many interviews we got take part in during the con! In this episode, we got the chance to speak with Monica Rial. You may know her best as Bulma from Dragon Ball and the letters that come after, but's she done a ton voices throughout the years. So, back in 2012 (?!), Basil once told Kevin that he really needed to go to an interview with Richard Epcar. And Kevin did, and a wonderful time was had. Well, John was also there in 2012. This time, our interview is uh... intergalactic! And uh, spectacular! Legendary? Is that a thing? Well, the thing is that this is an interview with Josh Keaton! He has done a bunch of cool voice-over roles like Shiro in Voltron: Legendary Defender! Or Spider-Man in The Spectacular Spider-Man, or if you would rather someone more potentially villainous, Norman Osborn in Marvel's Spider-Man! And if you really wished he voiced a guy named Jack, oh hey! He was Jack Darby in Transformers: Prime.

In this week's episode, we take a trip back in time, to 2018's Middle Tennessee Anime Convention, where our own John Robbins got to chat with both Yuri Lowenthal along with Tara Platt. (It was also where a certain Yuri and may have tweeted a certain awesome thing about John.)

Both Yuri and Tara are super prolific Voice-Over Artists. Yuri has been in things like Code Geass, Gurren Lagann, Dead or Alive, Naruto, Personas both 3 AND 4, and most recently he was the voice of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the new Spider-Manvideo game by Insomniac.

Tara was also in both Persona 3 and Naruto, along with a bevy of those things! She has been new dub of Sailor Moon, Aggretsuko, Fire Emblem: Awakening, League of Legends, and was also the voice of Yuri Watanabe in, you guessed it, Insomniac's Spider-Man.

2018 was a year. A year were things happened.Mostly terrible, but there was some stuff hiding around, poking about. At the very least, fifteen things. Now, you may wonder whom this Erika Harlacher is. Do not fret, for we shall tell you! She is an amazing voice actress, that has done many a cool Japanese animation. Things like oh I dunno... Violet Evergarden in Violet Evergarden? Or perhaps Jeanne d'Arc (Ruler) in Fate/Apocrypha would be more your speed. Netflix folks (aka everyone) would recognize her from her role of  Elizabeth Liones in The Seven Deadly Sins? I particularly enjoyed her work as Kurapika in Hunter x Hunter!

But let's face facts, I'm sure everyone really recognizes her as 
 Ann Takamaki in the smash hit video software known as Persona 5. And that is perfectly fine.

Why hello there! We're glad you could make it! Because we had the chance to sit down with Denmo Mcstronghuge and chat a little bit in June during Hamacon 9. Denmo is a YouTube/Twitter/Twitch sensation that  makes with the Final Fantasy XIV funnies and jokes. You may even find him scampering across Eorzea as his buddy Mr Face. Hello Adventurers! Now that we are solidly in the true “Wait Till Dawntrail” part of our Final Fantasy XIV life cycle, we thought it was best to look back to what we just got to play through. And that is Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.55: Growing Light – Part 2! Not only did we get our true onramp storyline-wise leading into the upcoming expansion, but we also got a bunch of capstones to a lot of side content. From Hildebrand blasting off again, to seeing how our allied tribe quests sorted out, we are talking about it all. Yes, even the part about the cheese. 

Spoiler Levels: Very Hot, like Spicy Stellar Soup hot! This is a very hot and savory episode. We namedrop Endwalker Extremes from the get-go, we talk about stuff that happened in Stormblood, and how everything is leading into Dawntrail. Wait wait wait what 2 updates in a row is this 2017 or what geez SO ANYROAD yes the OSMcast is BACK yet again for a classic late night con report! This time, we stay up waaaaay too late on the Saturday night of AWA to talk about said con. Since Basil and Anna were the only ones from Team OSM around, we stacked the room full of amazing guests! Said guests include, Jared from Oldtaku no Radio, Drew from Akihabara Renditions, as well as Bonus Doug and Jeff! ... From, well, they were in the room so good for them! Being in a room!

Protip: This was recorded in a hotel room at 3AM+ in the morning, so the the audio is not always the best. That's mostly due to the whole hotel room thing, though!
