When I decided to revamp my blog and personal brand a few years ago, I started following Elna Cain. Elna is a freelance writer, consultant and blogger. She owns several sites including Twins Mommy where she helps moms make money blogging and is the mom to some fabulous twins. Elna’s pins would pop up on my feed everywhere… how to start a blog, how to monetize a blog, how to increase blog traffic, how to drive traffic using Pinterest, etc.. and so back in 2017, I reached out to her to contribute to one of my round-up posts and she said yes. Flash forward 3 years later and Elna and I reconnected as speakers at a virtual summit back in October and we chatted all about making a living as a full-time blogger and if that is a thing of the past or actually still possible. Blogging is still thriving and Elna is here to share success strategies on how to launch and monetize one in 2021 especially as a mom. If you’re looking to start a blog for either a side hustle or full-time income stream, way to build credibility in your brand and business or as a creative outlet then listen closely. | 29. Redefining the Next Generation of Tiger Moms with TITT Talks | 27 Oct 2020 | 00:52:41
There are so many different ways to parent. And for many of us that starts with our upbringing and the culture we were raised in. In today's episode, I chat with four Asian-American moms (TCha, Isa, TLo and Chuk), who are the co-hosts of TITT Talks - a podcast about modern women living in a mama world and all moms of kids 5 and under, just like myself. I originally met these ladies years and years ago during undergrad at UCLA and so it was fun to reconnect and talk about our experiences raising multicultural kids in 2020. While I was lucky not to have the stereotypical "tiger mom," there are many traditions and norms in the Asian culture that I'm trying figure out how to navigate now while parenting. And like the TITT Talks moms, we are all trying to do our best to instill qualities of compassion, love and understanding within our children… but sometimes the demanding side comes out. I think my favorite aspect of this episode is hearing the stories of other strong Asian American moms. I think a lot of us were raised to get a good education, work hard, make opportunities for a better life, and raise good kids, but being on a stage or creating a platform for our voice isn’t as common. What these ladies are doing with TITT Talks is empowering and paving the way for other Asian Americans out there to have a voice. Follow the TITT Talks podcast at

There are so many positive things we can add to our daily life to help improve our overall state of being. However, before you can add things into your life (even good), you need to subtract and create space for that good to grow. Space will allow you to focus on those things that will produce tangible results and awareness around what specific goal or path you should be working on or taking. It’ll help bring light to what area of your life or business you want to focus your energy on and as a bonus you’ll be excited about it! | 22. Virtual Kindergarten... More Like Mommy Jail | 08 Sep 2020 | 00:33:13
Now that we've officially started (distance learning) Kindergarten (aka Zoom Kindergarten), I decided to bring on some of my Mommy Pod to discuss how they're coping with virtual kinder and what they're doing to make it work. Starting Kindergarten off virtually has been an interesting and unique experience, and not necessarily a good one for many reasons. But kids are resilient and in the end, they seem to be doing okay. But are the parents? Not at all. Just like in the spring, the parents are still the ones suffering and for many, at least one parent (in many cases the mom) has to be available at all times. So how can we make this work? What can we do to help our children and ourselves? ----- Come join me in my sandbox of life and in this podcast to explore, play and discover something new every single week. Along with those insights, over the last year I've interviewed dozens of mom entrepreneurs both on the podcast, in-person and on my Parenting in a Pandemic Series. And while every mom has a different family structure and situation, there are a lot of commonalities that allow them to pursue their passion and succeed as a "power mom." | 19. How to Move Forward and Survive the Rest of 2020 | 07 Aug 2020 | 00:12:42
Having a Baby, Surviving Parenting, Running a Business During the Pandemic In the last 6 months (yes during a Pandemic), I had a baby, homeschooled a preschoolers, ran a business, continued a podcast, ended a 10 year old event planning company, and survived parenting 3 kids while working from home. So this week we're taking a "le pause" to reflect on the past 6 months (since the baby just turned 6 months old) in order to plan for the rest of the year. If you don’t have awareness of where you are in the present, it’s hard to figure out how to move forward. By using the same feedback loops and system of reflection I apply to my business to my life, I am able to make a plan for how to move forward. Listen in to learn more about what to do and how to apply this process to your life so that you can plan out the rest of 2020 with success! --- For more information, visit www.PowerMomMinute.com Connect with me!

| 16. Finding Calm and Understanding Stress with Parijat Deshpande [Parenting in a Pandemic, Vol. 5] | 17 Jul 2020 | 00:39:28 | |
After being on bedrest for most of her pregnancy and delivering her first child at 24 weeks and 5 days, which was 15 days longer than expected, Parijat Deshpande used her personal experience to embark on a journey learning and researching all about how the body’s nervous system reacts to stressors, anxiety, and fear associated with a high risk pregnancy. In this episode, I learned so much about how she approaches the stress cycle and how to use neurobiological techniques to help improve your overall mind-body connection. She explains why deep breathing and a lot of common quick fixes aren't the answer to combating stress long-term and why she doesn't believe in "stress management." I think my big takeaway was how to tune in, acknowledge and listen to my body effectively so that I have the tools to properly respond to situations that change my baseline stress level. Her approach is extremely fascinating and can be applied to more than just a high-risk pregnancy, but in any situation when you feel high stress, which as a parent is quite often! Parijat is the leading high-risk pregnancy specialist, somatic stress & trauma professional and speaker and author who guides women to improve their pregnancy complications so they can reduce their risk of preterm birth. Her unique neurobiological approach has served hundreds of women to manage pregnancy complications and reclaim a safety and trust in their bodies that they thought was eroded forever. Parijat is the author of bestselling book Pregnancy Brain: A Mind-Body Approach to Stress Management During a High-Risk Pregnancy. She is also the host of the popular podcast Delivering Miracles®, that discusses the real, raw side of family-building including infertility, loss, high-risk pregnancy, bed rest, prematurity and healing once the baby comes home. | 06. How to Reclaim Your Identity in Motherhood | 09 Oct 2019 | 00:23:22
So often I hear moms (especially with young kids) say, "I don't even know who I am anymore" and questioning if their life is going to be anything more than motherhood. I can relate to this as I was one of those moms with a "past life" that just didn't seem to fit anymore after becoming a mom. I know first-hand what it's like to go through a complete identity crisis. For some being a mom is the identity they have been searching for their whole life and for others the identity of being a mom is just part of a bigger puzzle, but an unknown bigger picture. I believe you don’t have to be defined as just one thing: a mom, a career woman, a CEO, a wife, a “insert your title here”. Instead, if you expand who you are and embrace the concept that you can have multiple selves and identities, you can evolve into something bigger and better. At the root of the problem is really uncovering who you are in this new chapter of your life in that moment and how you can evolve into a more awesome you, which can honestly apply to anyone. In this episode I focus on 3 categories to help you on your journey to reclaiming your identity: mindset, action and people. Within each of these categories are a few tips on how to start on your path to rediscovering the amazing new you. ---- Resource mentioned:

| 03. Setting Boundaries and Implementing Self Care | 18 Sep 2019 | 00:17:45 | |
I can't tell you how many times I see moms and women put everyone else's needs (in life and business) in front of their own! They run themselves exhausted by doing everything for everyone else except themselves. That changes now! I believe as an entrepreneur, business owner, mom and wife, there is a fine line between work and home, especially when a lot of times we work from home. From doing the nap time hustle to squeezing in work before the kids wake up and long after they go to bed, I realized that I was trying to get it all done at the expense of my own health and well-being. Which is why today’s episode is all about Boundaries and Self Care because these are two themes that I feel like as a mom we tend to put aside and pretend that it’s not a problem or doesn’t need to exist. If we can just tough it out for a few more years it’ll all get better. But in my opinion it doesn’t. In this episode I dive into my 3 tips for setting boundaries and 3 simple things I do to implement self-care in my daily life so that I keep my self-care meter above zero. ---- For more information, visit www.PowerMomMinute.com/ Connect with me!
| 02. Don't Say the "B Word" (aka Balance) | 11 Sep 2019 | 00:16:30 | |
When I was creating my interview questions, I realized there were a lot of common themes that working moms always tend to talk about. So before we dive into interviews, I thought I’d give you my personal perspective on 5 common themes that seem to emerge anytime I talk to working moms.
In this episode we'll dive into the mythical concept of "balance." What does "balance" supposedly look like? Does it really exist and if so, how can we, as working moms, actually "do it all"?
